I have been to a lot of restaurants in the US and beyond, especially healthy ones. Mom's Table is extremely unique. They serve delicious vegan food that is anything but bland. Delicious salad bar, curries, gnocchi, stuffed potatoes, smoothies, amazing raw desserts... and every single ingredient they use is organic/biologique. I was told by the chef that the recipes were very carefully crafted over months and months of hard work. You can literally feel the love, time, and energy that has been put into this place. Emmi's Kitchen is a cozy little spot hidden back in a courtyard, which I imagine is lovely on a day with more favorable weather. The inside isn't huge, but luckily there was room for our party of six -- we were able to push a few tables together. Most of the other tables were taken, so I imagine it's even busier on weekends. I got the avocado toast with tofu scramble, and a couple people in our group got the avocado toast without it. We all got coffee, and some of us also got orange juice. The food was tasty and fresh, and although I found the portion size to be a bit small relative to the price, I would probably come back here to try other things on the menu.

The atmosphere was cozy but did not feel crowded or overwhelming, even though every table was taken by diners. The chef kindly explained each dish to us in detail, including the fact that almost all of their dishes could be made vegan (even if they were listed as vegetarian). As a vegan, I was thrilled to have that many options for dinner! The food was outstanding. I was skeptical about the creamed celery soup (how good could celery be as the basis of a soup?), but it was so comforting and tasted amazing. I wish I'd ordered another bowl!
