It can get quite busy in there especially on a friday or saturday so its best to plan ahead. The staff are fairly nice when you walk into the store and will help you if necessary the alcohol is nice and the store is great. One problem is there is a lot of younger kids that hang around outside just be weary of them as they are usually after someone to buy them some alcohol or cigarettes etc. Otherwise good.

This just doesn't have the slightly dodgy feel of some off licences, and the staff are very friendly. They take cards in here, offer cashback, and have a cashpoint outside, which is really useful. I was looking for a quality wine to complement the fish I was cooking that evening and I was pleasantly surprised with the help on offer from the shop assistant. I left with a couple of bottles of white and it tasted great.

I do appreciate some good offers though, and £6 for three big bottles of Kopperberg during the brief sunny spell was too good to pass up. For more classy evenings, there is always enough choice in the wine selection to keep you going for a long time. The staff are quiet but friendly and are always quick to offer assistance. Perhaps not as chatty or knowledgable as Wine Stop for example, but if you're in a pinch and on Oak Tree Lane, Dave Wines is always a safe bet.

I don't come here often as I don't drink but I have been here a couple of times with my mates. They always come here to buy different beers and never have they been disappointed. To be honest I would rather go to a pub and have a pint rather than drink from a can. That's me just being weird. The staff working here are excellent with their customers and you can talk to them about anything from weather to sport or even about the news. If you do like your various drinks, then Drinks World is for you. There are bargains to be had here but do try and drink responsibly. A decent place to buy drinks from and I know I would come here regularly if I did drink.

Oscar Wines has a wide selection of drinks to choose from including beers, wines and soft drinks. This shop is similar to being an off license and you will find European foods, chocolates and some household products here. Being next to another shop that sells more or less the same items means the competition between the two is fierce. I have only been here once and to be honest I have no plans of coming back here since I am someone who doesn't drink that often. But there is no denying that there are loads of drinks you can purchase from here. Staff are friendly and you can talk to them about anything. Having a conversation with the shop owner felt good and you can have some banter with them.

Occasionally I think we did manage it but laws were not quite so tight back in the 'old' days. I am sure that they are alot more careful now. Its situated right next to one of the best pubs in Tamworth 'Bonds' which I have reviewed seperately and they both have the same kind of chilled out laid back vibe. The alcohol is cheap - as the name suggests and they do good deals on cigarettes if you are so inclined (I am a reformed smoker although I have the occasional lapse after a few gins). I disagree with the other comment about the staff - I think they are very friendly. Yes down to earth and typical Tamworthians/Tammies who like to call a spade a spade. But I am sure they have to deal with an awful lot of abuse on a typical saturday night so I guess they have to have a reasonably thick hide.

Laithwaites is actually an extremely well stocked, very nice wine shop, not dissimilar to chains such as Majestic Wine Warehouse. The inside is very professional, with wines grouped appropriately, making whatever you're looking for specifically very easy to find. If you're not entirely sure what you're looking for, then fear not, because their friendly, approachable staff clearly know what they're doing and can advise you what wine to serve with certain food. The prices are competitive with the likes of Majestic, although if you're looking for a sub £5 bottle just to give to an acquaintance or what have you, you may be better suited going to a supermarket such as Tesco. Highly recommended.

The cheapest bottles were about 6 quid and this was in the sale so it is not for you if you buy cheap wine! Prices went up as high as £20 a bottle and they also had a selection of champagne and sparkling wines. We treated ourselves to 4 bottles which were very nice. I doubt we'll use this shop much but it is handy if you've been in the Wetherspoons nearby plus there is parking outside.

Correct…read more There is always a stereotypical newsagent around every corner you turn in either Halesowen/Bartley Green, all pretty much selling the same products at similar prices. The service in a lot of these places is sub standard, as if the staff don't want to be there. The majority may be family and tied in to the shop, making matters worse. Regardless, Manor Wines is a fairly decent place to go, if you're looking to buy a few beers or a cheap bottle of wine, then I would recommend swinging by if you're close enough, I wouldn't say it's worth a journey though, I must admit.

My experience with Bobby's Wines has good and I don't have anything negative to say about the store. I've purchased a few alcoholic beverages from there and I've continued going there when I'm in West Bromwich because of their prices and that is the main reason. I like somewhere which doesn't over-charge but you still get quality products. They continued being competitive with their pricing and I feel that's what makes them a great shop. Their selection of products is reasonable, not the best but they sell the products which people around that area purchase- so that is fair enough.
