There are 2 unis here Staffordshire and keele and they are really friendly inside. However they are very tigh on selling to underage even if they know you and you look underage they wont sell anything to you and they have a log book they will put it in infront of you. I started to get into good beers around 6 years ago which have marginalised my experience of hitting BB too regularly. Basically they do have a great range of ales but they tend to be of the old man beer persuasion where they all tend to taste the same (saying that that usually do some good deals on here so not bad to pop in if nowhere else is open) They've started doing craft beer from the States and Brewdog in some BB's but unfortunately my one doesn't carry this range...Possibly due to the demographics of the area I live, the more upmarket Davenport branch up the road seems to sell them but not us which is a shame (5 mins drive away if you really must get some good stuff) They sell fags, chocolate and soft drinks too here so not a bad little store that always seems to be open.

The staff in the store in Rainhill are friendly and helpful and they will gladly order goods in for you if they have run out of the stock you want. A side road is situated outside, although it must be stated that is a busy road with lots of people wanting to park by the shops and therefore parking is often not easy.

The store was fine, although there are better ASDA stores nearby, the product selection was OK for a store of its' size, and I was able to pick up most of the few items I needed. Scan & Go Mobile is available in this store, where you can scan and bag items as you shop, I do think it is really difficult to pay here compared to other supermarkets as you can only go to one specific self-service checkout, which is on the end and mixed in with the others, this is the first ASDA location which does not either have a specific section or the technology added on to all self-service machines, I think it makes little sense to not signpost it, which leads to confusion, especially as there is no area to queue if you want this machine only. The staff seemed more annoying than helpful, after I found out where the machine was, the employee seemed eager to assist me, even though I told her I was fine and didn't require assistance, as I struggled to scan my barcode, she typed it in, she seemed to be doing it really slowly to waste time, and pressed the wrong button to delete everything to start again, she even touched my phone as the screen began to dim, without permission, which I didn't find to be appropriate, especially considering I didn't require help in the first place... someone should play her Raylee's entry into Melodi Grand Prix... "I don't need a hero" There was a pharmacy but this just seemed to get in the way, there were some warehouse/unloading cages around the store which also were an inconvenience, but this certainly wasn't as bad as many other stores nearby within the town centre. 3* - Pretty average ASDA, there are better stores nearby but with this being the only major supermarket in Wythenshawe town centre, a town of over 100,000 people, it is useful.

This caters for all the community's basic food needs, cigs, beer, papers, oh and bread and milk. Unfortunately, it usually means that there is no room to get a car in to fill up anymore, so most of the people I know have stopped using it! I'm not really a pub type of person and don't really enjoy drinking a pint for the sake of it, so its nice to know that i can now jump on my bike and pootle along to Bottle on a sunday lunch for a decent bottle of cider. I say decent as Bottle serve 'thistly cross'. Not only that though they serve my favourites the whisky cask and ginger versions. AND..(.yes this is a big AND), they also have snyders jalapeno pretzels....which quite frankly are the only reason i ever eat pretzels. The place itself is small, but through a good seating plan can easily accommodate up to 30 people and still feel uncrowded. The shop is positioned towards the back and by the looks of it (see picture) has lots to choose from. whilst i don't drink beer myself (only cider), i know it must be a good choice as my husband spends ages deciding and has that look of glee in his eye. Its a really nice little place, with great beer, good seating and really friendly staff. I will be returning....often.

I tried the porter on tap (I know! I drank beer!) and really liked its chocolate BBQ flavour. Bf got super excited about a 10% Thornbridge Jaipur and said it was one of the best things he drank in ages. He also bought a Thornbridge rhubarb to bring home which he also liked (although said he wouldn't need to drink more than one of those!). The prices are pretty high so it's more a treat place (if you want a bargain quality bottle option, head to Bargain Booze in Davenport). I imagine it might get hard to find a seat on weekends (which is great, because it means it's doing well) but midweek had the perfect balance of available seats but most tables taken which gave it a very pleasant buzz.

No help offered to elderly people or folk with children trying to wheel their trolleys along the road, which was also flooded on one side, or wading through the floodwater. No attempt made to direct traffic in order to keep people safe. I am sorry to say that my experience of Tesco Burnage managers is they they don't care about their customers and are never visible when there are problem. I have never had problems with managers in any other Tesco store. I only continue to shop at Burnage because the shop floor staff are really helpful and cheerful. I have no idea how they manage it

They have a large deli counter, clothes selection, pharmacy, homeware, children's games, camping, fitness stuff, cards and presents, fish counter and American and world foods isle. (pretty much everything!) It also has a sneaky Costa at the back which I didn't realise until recently! There's tons of room in the car park and apart from on weekends when it is really busy, its never too packed and a generally chilled shopping experience. Will always choose here over the small metro down the road as its got a larger selection of pretty much everything!
