This driver was speeding and run into/over several geese and did not stop. He did not attempt to slow down (was speeding). He did not stop after hitting them. They were visable way before approaching them. Had he been paying attention and not speeding he could have avoided hurting them and leaving them alive and suffering with broken legs, wings and god knows what else. While driving E/B in the curb lane on Vollmer Road through Matteson, Flossmoor, Olympia Fields a truck that is the same type as the one pictured by Kim G in a previous complaint was tailgating my vehicle then changed lanes and was tailgating another vehicle in the center lane. The driver was trying to drive much faster than the posted limit, but could not due to the traffic conditions (lots of traffic). The truck continued to tailgate until it had an opening in the curb lane and moved over and sped up further to pass vehicles on the right. He continued until the right lane ended and became one lane E/B. The trucker then 'forced' his way into the single lane by not slowing causing safer drivers to slow down and make way for the big truck. A very rude and unsafe driving attitude. This is a trucker who gives other hard working and safe truckers a bad reputation. Barge trucking hired by National Salt Company attempted to deliver a load of salt to our business today, (Christmas Eve), they dumped oil all over our driveway, building, overhead door and we are trying to stop the oil from going down the sewer. We have already purchased all of the oil dri from every store around that is open. Thee driver also took down our phone line so we have no phone service. The driver just left...and the company refuses to answer the phone because as I was told by National Salt, "It is Christmas Eve and they are with their families" Really!!! That is where we are supposed to be, we only asked for a delivery of salt, NOT THIS! read more
