The groomer was very nice and scheduling was efficient. The only issue is that they cut the whiskers on my dog's face (both around the muzzle and under the chin). Whiskers should never be cut as they are a sensory organ for dogs, and cutting whiskers can cause discomfort and confusion for the dog (google it--not making this up). Would have expected an experienced groomer to know this and not cut them. Will not be going back. read more

We are new to the area and have been searching for a new groomer for our double coated long hair akita. She requires someone who can handle all of her hair; we know that grooming her is a lengthy process! We made our appointment and immediately felt like our pup would be in good hands. We appreciated the covid safety precautions being taken by having us hand off our dog outside the door, no one but the groomers enter the indoor space. They groomed my golden doodle and over-plucked the hair in his ears. It left such sores that the vet equated it to third degree burns! Our dog was in such pain and the infection lasted weeks! The vet bill was over $1,000 and our dog needed 5 different medications which included steroids and antbiotics! After sharing this info and photos with Barks and Bubbles, they took no responsibility! They were not even sympathetic just defensive! We had been customers for years on a regular schedule. They have been losing good groomers and the replacements are sub par so now they are loosing customers! My advice is to stay far away! read more

We looked at other places (petco, other smaller groomers in leesburg) but Bark n Bubbles made us feel more comfortable leaving here there for several hours. Staff is very pleasant and they ensured they would take their time so she wouldn't be scared to return. Dropped her off at 10am and picked her up at 1:30. She was sleeping in a crate when I arrived and the staff was not happy to see her leave. She smelled and looked great and happy. Even had complimentary bows behind her ears! Visited for their self bathing services. I recently moved to the area and have two large breed dogs. I brought both dogs but only bathed one. They have area where you can connect your dog's leash which was very convenient when juggling two dogs. The woman who was working that day was very friendly and helpful. I would suggest bringing your own shampoo. I found their shampoo to be a little weak and I was not able to lather it through my dogs thick fur. However, I brought my own bottle as backup (most self service bathing tubs I've been to have weak shampoo) which got the job done! Prices are reasonable and we will be back! read more

This might be a lengthy review but I have to let everyone know how WONDERFUL this place is. My 2 year old Korean Jindo/Samoyed mix is a dog meat trade survivor and was saved this past year from his previous owner who abused and sold him to a butcher to be slaughtered back in South Korea. Needless to say my baby boy is scared of EVERYTHING. This was his first bath since we got him because he just recently started trusting us on letting him touch and pet him. My mother and I brought him here because of the self bathing area since we knew at the moment, no groomer would be willing to take him on. We explained Nikko's story to the two ladies working that day (Totally forgot their names I'm so sorry!) and they helped my mother and I with everything they could. They were shinning stars! When they noticed that Nikko was getting jumpy because of the pressure from the water hose, they advised on using a cup and pouring it over his fur to relax him a bit and it worked like a charm! We stayed almost an hour and no one seemed annoyed or agitated that we took quite a bit of time. The tubs are clean and they have everything you could possibly need (Shampoos, conditioner, leashes, etc) to make this an easy experience. I'm definitely bringing my boy back for his next bath, not only for the clean facility but for how amazing and understanding the staff are! read more

They offer great services, are always very nice and are reasonably prices. Just an FYI if you go on a Sunday, their hours say they are open until five however they don't let anyone in after four. I would now assume that they close an hour early every day so just be aware! They should probably update their hours of operation so people know to come in an hour prior to closing. read more

My dog got into something in the backyard, and since he's a pain in the royal behind to wash at home, I decided that since I was pregnant I'd do something easier - go to a place where I didn't have to find my supplies, bend over my tub, and wash my own towels and mess. And I found it! The two staff at the front desk couldn't have been nicer, and helped identify everything I'd need to properly wash my dog myself. They even offered a riser for the dog so I wouldn't have to bend, since he was small. It was a great experience, and had even better stuff than I would have had at home, with a huge amount of hassle to boot - it's easy at this place. The only drawback at all is the price - 21 bucks for my dog to do it myself - but considering I have to clean up nothing and supply nada? I'll gladly pay it again. read more

Place is very homey in a good way. Very friendly and accommodating staff, they obviously love dogs and what they do. Very basic, step in tubs and wash stations with leash hookups, a handheld sprayer, hair dryer, soap, conditioner, and towels all provided. Don't expect stainless steel tubs and hydraulic grooming stands, just a basic great place to DIY wash and dry your pooch for a very great price. MUCH better than trying to wrestle my 60lb dog into the tub. Had them do the nail trim and they did a great job. Very happy and will definitely make this part of my dogs regular grooming routine. PS: I do agree the shampoo they provide is a little weak. This was my first time so next time I will bring my own shampoo and towels for the car. My dog has short hair so no real brushing was needed but I would suggest BYO utensils for after care. read more

I took my gentle giant lab to get his nails cut and she did them IN THE TUB and bent his arms in painful ways while he yelped and squirmed! He has NEVER biten anyone or complains when I trim his nails so CLEARLY SHE HURT HIM! I'm traumatized and so is he, needless to say I'm most defiantly never returning for a nail service and you would be wise to do the same! As to the comment below, I asked so that the "professional" could more safely cut his nails but what I got was LESS THAN AMATEUR. Clearly anyone else who had the same experience (bending their legs in unnatural uncomfortable positions) did not come forward for being traumatized as I was. Even if you do decide to continue to use them as the nail groomer for your pet I would air on the side of caution and watch as they do it. Hopefully with a customer alerting the future cliental they will "upgrade" their concern FOR SAFETY for the animal. read more

It's so much easier than washing them at home and the dogs love the super friendly staff and treat options at the counter. I had planned on taking my Papillon/Pom mix to the groomers at the Petsmart in Leesburg. Though I was hesitant since the person I spoke with was rather stand offish when I inquired about the price of the grooming. Still my dog needed the grooming and I didn't have time to research other places. On my day off however I noticed Bark n Bubbles and I stopped by to talk to the people there. I assume I was speaking with Sandy, she was very nice and gave me a price straight out, she even offered me a spot at that very moment, so I returned with my dog ten minutes later. I looked at their facilities and it was definitely a place I would trust, they use some excellent methods. When I picked up my dog, they told me how well behaved she was, which was great to hear since my dog tends to have anxiety and is very skiddish with loud noises. This shows me how much the groomers took superb care of her and did a great job. I've been bringing my dog to Bark n Bubbles in Leesburg for three years. They're amazing, in every way. Sandy is a loving and genuine woman who has a heart for all critters. Jessica, her groomer, is incredibly patient and talented (and did research just to learn how to trim a BRT). I have a large, intact, male dog. Dog is a generous noun - he's more like a bear cub at 100lb. He is afraid of driers and is convinced every door opening needs to be formally announced by an earth rumbling bark. I have taken him to multiple groomers (having given up on taming his mane myself -- his fur eats $100 clippers...). He is a loving dog but definitely a handful for anyone but his mother. But, when Sandy talks about him, I'm convinced she sees a different dog! We've been bringing our two Yorkies here for years. BnB's Groomer, Jessica was our dogs' groomer from another "pet spa" and we followed her here because she's THAT AWESOME! She always accommodates our grooming requests and is happy to do additional "touch-ups" if we're not completely satisfied. This doesn't happen often as she's very detail-oriented and takes her time to make sure they receive the best haircut possible. Our boys truly do get the royal treatment when they come here and best of all, they leave smelling and looking great! I love Bark N' Bubbles! They have the best quality and prices around town! #1 choice for me! I brought my dog there today and it was a really simple procedure because I came there before. My dog's hair status before the haircut was terrible. After it was wonderful! They got out all the mats and knots. I loved most of what they did. There was one mistake they made after I let the shop. I found that they accidentally cut\scraped my dog on the nozzle. It didn't seem serious but I was extremely worried. I think I'll let it go this time because every body makes mistakes. But if this happens again I'll have to let them go. Currently it's a vibrant red and I hope it'll heal soon. They were really reasonable and I couldn't ask anything more as in customer service. We have used Bark and Bubbles many many times for our Staffordshire Terrier, Ellie. Sandi and the entire staff are always very professional and couldn't be more caring towards their clients. Our dog comes out smelling great, is very clean and has always been dry - I've never seen or experienced any of the negative things described by one of the previous posters. We've never had a bad experience and Ellie loves going to see all her friends at BnB. And, all the treats they have in stock don't hurt - we can't leave without buying some! We have been taking Jake to Bark'n Bubbles since Sandy was opened for business. Jake is a 130 pounds and he loves going there as much as they love him. Sandy is a huge advocate for dogs in general. She has engrained herself and the business into the fabric of the Leesburg community by fostering and finding homes for dogs in need of a family. Sandy, Candy and Jessica do a great job grooming but do a better job of caring for the dogs they bathe and shows every time Jake visits...he is always happy to see them. I love this place, I'm so glad that we got one in Leesburg. The owner was so helpful and nice. It is so much easier to give my dogs baths there because it is stocked with everything, and there's no bending over the tub. And if you don't feel like doing it yourself, there's an option to have them do the grooming. I haven't tried that yet, but it's always an option. read more
