The pies are warmed up for you in the microwave, so the crust is not super crispy and flaky, but it's still pretty decent nonetheless. I didn't find the filling to be really exciting though - it seemed like just shredded chicken that was slightly sweet which was a little odd. I wanted there to be vegetables or something else in there. I appreciated that it was warmed at least and it fit the bill for a meal under 10 CHF, and it was a decent lunch - not super filling but it was just barely enough food. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here to eat, but if you're in the area and want food, this is a decent option. They don't take credit cards under 10 CHF, so plan accordingly.

I opted for a Wildschweinwurst and a 'scharf' Wurst. --not really so piquant as I had hoped, but still tasty. The cheese selection isn't bad, either. I spied a blue cheese from Romandie, a really potent Vacherin, goat and sheeps cheeses and, tis the season, raclette and fondue cheeses. This place also stocks beans from a new coffee roaster, Cococoro, located just down the road in Kreis 3. Wine, beer, among a few other things, are all neatly arranged for one's perusal. It was light and refreshing, yet not overlay rich. It was perfect for a hot summer day. They are known for their luxemburgerli but it was during the heat wave when we went and it was so hot that I wasn't in the mood for anything too sugary so I didn't get any to try which I really regret and would love to try them out next time I'm in town. Service was quite slow. We waited for over 15mins before we were seated even though there's tables available. And no one came to acknowledge us during that time as well. Next time when I return, I would probably opt to just pick up some luxemburgerli to go unless you're very tired and just want to find a place to sit down and rest.

I am a meat lover and I do think there is a huge difference in quality of meat and I have learned over the years that a good artisanal butcher is typically much better than what you get from a supermarket. I am sad to see that not more people realize this and slowly butchers are disappearing one by one. Metzgerei Keller (appearently Metzgerei means butcher in German) is one of these rare gems. I first came in contact with their Wiederkli sausages on a food truck market and noticed that this was a super delicious sausage so I was curious where it was from. Obviously the name should have told me that this is indeed from Wiedikon, where I live so I went to see the shop. Even though my German is quite limited, the staff in the shop was super friendly in helping me with finding the exact right cut of meat I was looking for and giving me information about their very extensive sausage offering (do try their fennel Wiederkli sausage, it is delicious!) But most importantly, their meat is of amazing quality, I've been now quite a few times and everytime I am surprised on how right they get it. Their meat is at a similar level as the supermarket but oh boy, it is so much better. Compared to the butcher counter at Globus or other delicatessen shops, this is more economical and much better. This item didn't qualify for the 15% discount, but it was totally worth it to find one of my favorite foods in Zürich. Totally yummy, but knocking one star off for price. Chinese vegetables like Choy Sam which you'll get for about $1 a bunch in Chinatown in NYC is almost CHF 5! Kimchi is out of the question--I only saw about 4 brands, in small glass jars of in plastic bags (very strange) and they were 8.95 for the largest jar which I could prob eat in one sitting easily. There are LOTS of sauces like hoisin, black bean, Szechuan, various hot sauces, soy sauces, fish sauces, etc. I saw curry pastes in more varieties and sizes than at Chiang Mai, but the prices were comparable. The best thing about this place is the ramen selection because they have an entire row dedicated to Korean brands and Shin ramen is CHF 1.45 a packet, no discount for buying in bulk or in the 5-pack (so unfair!) which is the same as an overpriced corner market in central Manhattan. So although it is hard on the wallet, what is a Korean girl to do? You need your ramen once in a while. There is a sizeable dumpling and various dim sum selection section and seafood including calamari, shrimp, squid, scallops, etc but I'm still not used to buying seafood in frozen form instead of fresh like you see at any Whole Foods or in a Chinatown. I'll have to update my review after I actually try the pork frozen dumplings I got such were CHF 20 for a bag (JEEEEEEEEzus) which again, in NYC Chinatown would be about $5. I was disappointed by the produce section because in Korean markets in the U.S., that is the best part with tons of selection and unbeatable prices. Unfortunately the produce they had was scarce and incredibly overpriced. I might as well go to Coop in Sihlcity for more variety. I did notice that what they had seemed fresher than Barkat but I may have visited in the earlier part of their delivery schedule. I've posted lots of pictures of the variety of products they have but as someone who doesn't cook Asian food often, it was hard to tell what most of the stuff was. I did find packets of ja-choy (the "Chinese kimchi") though so will have to try it. Also although they had credit card machines, they demanded cash. Not cool when you're spending CHF 50!
