My friend ordered dessert wine and a truffle and it was obvious that the waitress didn't have a clue what that was and poured 1,5 dl in a brandy glass! We paid over 400 sek for two burgers and drinks and got a fast food quality meal that wasn't worth half that. The bread was stale, the cheese was wrinkled and looked kinda like it had been microwaved and the burger was dry. The fries were unsalted. If they screw up a burger this badly I shudder to think of what their other dishes would be like. Needless to say we won't be back - if you find yourself in Vaxjo when most restaurants are closed save yourself some money and go to a drive through or grocery store instead of wasting your time at the Bishops arms.

There was a salad buffet with fresh plums which I thoroughly enjoyed - the plums tasted similar to the ones in America but they were shaped and colored differently. I had about 4 in total, they were so refreshing. I didn't love my hamburger and stopped eating it because it was dry, overcooked and not very tasty, so that's another reason why I ate so many plums. We met a very nice gentlemen at the table next to us named Sven Svensson who proceeded to point out the mayor of the city sitting across the restaurant. A new world of levain, sourdough etc has opened up for the small but yet curious town Växjö. I tried their ice coffe, which they to my relief don't try and call frappé (cause a frappé is not based on milk). The staff was very helpful and accommodating, and that paired with their excellent outside setup made the experience even better. We were seated outside, in the rain, with thunder in the distance, and it was super cozy! And the food, don't even get me started on the food! Possibly one of the most greasy and tasty burgers I've ever had, and their fries really take the cake! I have never had better fries in my life!
