First thing to note is that this is not a place to go on a first date. There simply is no way to…read moregracefully eat their burgers or wings without slathering face, fingers and possibly eyebrows in the vast amounts of sauce dripping from everything they make. It's probably why you're given a roll of kitchen of roll instead of napkins when you sit down. When we first arrived it was queued out the door, ok it's a small entrance way but that still meant there was at least a dozen people ahead of us. Thankfully we were quickly ushered inside and while we still had a 15 minute wait for a table for 4, and we could spend that time at the bar. The bar has a decent selection of the usual favourites. It's a bit short on good beer/ale but does have Brooklyn larger on draught. They also have their very own larger, which to be honest was unimpressive. It tasted very weak with no strong flavours and a distinct lack of hops. I would describe it like sex in a canoe, f**king close to water. If you're a Bud or Coors lite drinker you'll likely enjoy it. But you don't come here for the booze. The burger menu was impressive, the smallest they do is a double and every burger comes with a long list of toppings. Some crowd pleasures feature, candied bacon, pepper jack cheese, BBQ onions, but there are also some weird and wonderful additions such as crunchy pretzels, frazzles (yes the crisps!) and even beerios, which are some sort of beer infused cheerios, they only appear on their breakfast burger. I had the river phoenix, a double cheese burger with bacon, BBQ onions, chipotle sauce, baconaise and the aforementioned frazzles. The burger was delicious, the meat was good quality and well cooked, although it did get lost under the vast amount of different toppings. As sides we had their chilli cheese fries and suicide wings. The fries were excellent, a mixture of regular and sweet potato fries. They were cut to just the right thickness and had a nice crunch while still being fluffy on the inside. There wasn't quite as much chilli as I'd have liked but other than that the fries were perfect. However I was disappointed in the suicide wings. I'm a big hot sauce fan and they were pretty mild. I would have liked for them to have been a lot hotter. I was expecting ghost pepper heat and only got Jalapeño. It's not full waiter service as you do have to order and pay at the bar. But the staff were pleasant and the queues were short so I didn't mind. Our four burgers (3 doubles and a triple), two portions of fries and a portion of wings came to a very reasonable £40.

That's until I came across Almost Famous in Liverpool. The Triple Treat is a 3 cheeseburger beast topped with bacon AND pulled pork! They've got wings coated in fiery 'suicide' sauce and chips laden with cheese and chilli. Portions are huge so come hungry, and leave very satisfied! No table service - this a DIY venue but worth the trip!

The burger here (I got a cheeseburger) was very good. Chicken and veggie options went down well too. The only disappointment was the poutine, the cheese was a bit sickly. Price wise, it's coming in around £10 for a burger and fries, so it's not the cheapest lunch but given the calorie count better as a treat in any case.

They have an open kitchen which I love, always good to see the chefs preparing your fresh food. The menu is pretty straight forward, burgers and hot dogs and selection of fries and sides to go with them. The food was reasonably priced, the drinks were a little bit expensive but the milkshake I had was delicious. We called in advance to see whether they could accommodate our friend with a dairy allergy and they couldn't of been more helpful with the suggestions they made. The staff were friendly throughout the whole experience. The only let down for me was that they forgot my milkshake, I waited quite awhile as I know they take longer than most drinks but It was quite apparent they had forgot, it wasn't too big a deal though. If you find yourself looking for somewhere casual to eat in Chester this place is cool and the service was fast.

The restaurant is in a great location just a block from the beach and boardwalk area. Llandudno is a cute resort town that reminded me of a place in Greece with the houses and hotels built into the cliff. The decor was great and being a native New Yorker myself, I was not overwhelmed. I particularly enjoyed the Harvey's Times Square style sign. The service was on a different level. Truly excellent and I couldn't ask for anything else. We waited maybe 20 minutes for the food - five meals - and four of them came out at the same time. My pizza that I ordered had gotten burnt and the manager made the decision to remake it. He came over and personally informed me just a few seconds later and gave me a complimentary basket of french fries and onion rings. Lastly, the food was very good. The pizza was solid and as a New Yorker, I wasn't disappointed. Fries came out tasty and all of my group was satisfied. The prices were very reasonable as well!

I'd been…read moredriving all day with my friend, who was a bit terrified of my driving (it's not as easy as it seems to adjust to driving on the opposite side of the road than you're used to) and we finally make it close to our destination, and decide to stop to eat and get some groceries before we make our way to where we were staying for a few days. Now, I'm vegetarian and have never enjoyed fancy dining of any kind, so as we walk about looking for somewhere to eat...nothing. Places are closed, or their menus just really don't sync with "I've been in a car for eight hours and am not fit to sit in a nice restaurant right now" and I think we are completely out of luck. Then my friend sees this place in the distance. I have had dreams about the burger I had here. Literal, actual dreams as I slept where I got to relive eating the most fantastic vegetarian burger I have had in my life, hands down, after 16 years of being vegetarian. It sounds like I am exaggerating, but after so many years of people offering "vegetarian" food that seemed like they only had a vague idea of things that might be palatable without meat, it was extremely memorable. This happened in May of 2016 and I still tell people about this amazing burger - I think the last time I brought it up was a couple of weeks ago. I hope to someday return to the absolutely gorgeous town of Dolgellau, and to visit this shop at least once more.

First off, you'll notice simple, but sophisticated, decor in the restaurant. It's an old building featuring exposed brick walls, hanging lights, and hand-fashioned wood stools and tables. When it comes to environment/atmosphere they've definitely nailed it! As for the burger - my wife and I both had the Hereford Hop burger and it was insanely delicious! The beef itself is tender and tasty. The patty is formed gently rather than being smashed together, so you get the full texture and flavor of the beef. This particular burger comes with local Hereford cheese, onion rings, a mustard/mayo, and served on a fresh brioche roll. Literally, it's mouth-watering! We also tried the fried cheese curds and the sticky wings and both side items were LIGHTS OUT! The chicken wings were slathered in a BBQ sauce and I'm not lying when I say they were legitimately fall-off-the-bone tender! The breading provided a perfect crisp, crunch on the bite and with one bite all of the meat came off the bone easily. The cheese curds were also incredible and a must! All in all, you're expectations will definitely be met and I would say this is the best burger place in town.

The view, unlike most pubs, is money, looking out onto the ocean. Of course why bother going to a pub to see the ocean (other than it's less windy inside)? I was hungry, and Claire and Leigh obliged me with a spectacular sausage and mash plate that I did my best to devour. Not to mention that I walked away for under fifteen quid. I owe my server a tip - I'll have to rectify that next time. Seriously, I had heard that "this place had gone downhill" but I'm told that there's new management and for me at least the staff were all prompt, pleasant, attentive, and professional. In America we trip over ourselves looking for this quality of food and service, and here I have discovered it in the Welsh countryside. I am seriously envious and seriously recommend that if you are in Carmarthenshire that you set The Ship Inn in your GPS. I have no doubt that you will agree with my assessment. Cheers! =;^)

Additional seating on the terrace also with beautiful views along the coastline. Pick of the real ales are Brains Rev. James and Hancock HB, both on tap. Good selection of wines, soft drinks and spirits also available. Good quality food - prices a little on the expensive side but I guess being a seaside resort, trade is seasonal and allowances need to be made for this. Enjoyed all the main courses here but found the strawberry and white chocolate gateau a little too rich/sweet. Friendly and efficient service - perhaps a little on the slow side when busy. Small car park quickly fills up during the summer so arrive early to be sure of a space - otherwise it means parking higher up in the village (may need to pay) and a 5 minute walk.
