Beginning in 2012 after purchasing a home in Jackson Hole, we hired John G. and his Barn Hill Landscaping to maintain our property for the latter part of the 2012 season and all of the 2013 season. He also installed some rock beds around our home to minimize splashing of water onto our log home. In late summer 2013 we had John install several trees and he set us up with an irrigation company in order to keep them watered. We never had a problem with John but by the end of summer 2013 we realized his crew could not deliver the level of detail we had come to desire for mowing and maintenance, further we were having to deal with separate vendors for things like irrigation, weed control, fertilizer, tree pruning etc. That isn't a knock or negative comment, merely a statement of fact. Up until this point John had always delivered what we had agreed upon. At the end of 2013 we parted ways amicably (I thought). Fast forward to late season 2014 when one of the trees he'd installed died despite regular care and irrigation. The invoice for the trees clearly states they have a 2 year warranty with proper care. I emailed and called John to set up a time to provide replacement. Neither my email, nor my voice message left on his phone or attempts by our caretaker to contact him have been answered. Unfortunately, at this point it is our experience that John and Barn Hill Landscaping in Jackson, Wyoming do not stand behind their work. read more
