a bottle of tea and a glass of water

DELICIOUS. We had a chicken pad thai and curry. Both were so full of flavor, big portions and some of the best that we had. We also enjoyed the homemade milk tea which comes in a to go bottle. Make a reservation 1 week ahead or plan to take out, there are only a few tables and they will be full. We were able to call day of and get a 4pm reservation during the winter, but I think we were lucky in that. Free parking outside.

I got lucky and managed to get a same day reservation at 6:15pm for three people when I called right at 3pm when they started answering the phone. This place is super small and really cute. We ordered chicken satay, green curry chicken, beef massaman curry, stir fried gailan (Chinese broccoli) with crispy pork belly, and pad Thai with shrimp. Everything was flavorful and delicious. The chicken in the satay skewers and the green curry was very tender and not overcooked. The beef massaman curry had big chunks of good quality beef short ribs. The shrimp pad Thai had quite a few big, plump prawns; it would have been perfect if there were more noodles. The gailan with crispy pork belly was really tasty and well prepared. We ordered some jasmine rice to go with the curry sauces; and we went home with some leftovers. The portion sizes of the beef massaman curry and the gailan with pork belly were very generous. We had their toasted brioche and pandan custard dip for dessert. It was very unique and yummy. We also got a bowl of shrimp chips to munch on; they were nice and crispy. Food came out at a good pace even though they seemed to have a lot of takeout orders. Service was efficient and friendly. We were all very satisfied and happy that we got to try this little gem of a Thai restaurant.

Small cozy place. Good flavor. Generous portion. Didn't really expect good Thai food out in the middle of the mountain, so this is an unexpected find! Most ppl seem to order take out, so def call ahead if you plan to dine in.

Best Thai food I've had! I love how small this place is and just so authentic. I highly recommend making reservations has there are only four tables. The glass noodle prawn hot pot, prawn green curry, and veggie spring rolls were phenomenal. I'll be dreaming about this place when I leave Whistler!

Incredibly busy local favourite. Reservations are recommended at least a week out if you want to secure a decent time. All their food was amazing with fresh ingredients and spectacular flavours. Such a cute place to take a special date. We tried a variety of their dishes and everything was excellent from the Spring Rolls, Vegetable Stir-Fry, Pad Thai with Prawns, Green Curry with Chicken, and the Papaya Salad was so delicious but oh so spicy. Highly recommend you try the Smokey chilli flakes on just about about everything.

Amazing and delicious Thai dishes in Whistler!!! You have to make a reservation because space is limited but it was worth the work and the short little drive from The Olympic Village! Great waitress named Bua who was attention and was Thai! She was amazing and was able to keep in touch after the fact as she found me via LINE and was reaching out to me somehow via text msg prior (must have gotten the # from billing). I lost my awesome Oakley sunglasses somewhere between the outside of the restaurant and our truck so having the personal contact really helped out. Despite not locating the sunglasses, I appreciated the fact that I could reach out to Bua while getting prompt responses. This place was wonderful and a must visit!

We were lucky to be able to secure last minute reservations on a Friday night. Seating area is small but we could look at the menu on the couch next door which was nice. Take out orders were a steady stream out the door. Service was quick, menu is pretty simple but food was delicious, and it was fun to explore a non-busy part of Whistler. When we came 1.5 hours after opening they had already sold out of some items so perhaps a takeout order, which starts at 2pm with 4pm pickup, would ensure a try of some of their items. Standout for what we ordered were the sausages. They had SO much flavor, were super fresh, cooked perfectly, and even the Cabbage that it came with was so delicious. I've never had better tasting cabbage, which is such an odd thing to stand out but it complimented the sausages so well. Pad thai was very good with good portion and a good amount of huge plump shrimp. Green curry was also tasty with the chicken being super tender. Am definitely curious about other specialties they had on their menu so will give that a go next time.

If you ever develop a strong craving for Thai food while doing snow activities at whistler, this is your place. The only caveats are that you would probably need a car to get there or walk a long time from whistler village. And the restaurant isn't pretty small, so call ahead to make a reservation and don't be late. In any case, we did all the above (made an adventure walking to the restaurant, would not recommend). Our server was waiting for us and had a little label on the table with our party's name. There's really only one table if you have a larger group. Got the crab fried rice which was very reasonably priced and came with so much crab meat! The Thai iced tea was pretty decent too, apparently there's an option made of lime juice. The papaya salad was very enjoyable and refreshing. Everything was served in a very generous portion, but there are some things on the menu that the restaurant runs out of. Because we were trying to order a bunch of things that they ran out of, the server gave us four pints of ice cream on the house. And I have to say that they were all amazing, and are a must try even if it is freezing outside. Would recommend this place to anyone if they're looking for Thai food and a little adventure.

From the top: Beef Massaman curry, mixed Vegetables, green curry with chicken, pad Thai, steamed rice.

Finally an authentic Thai restaurant near Whistler! Ok it's actually 30 mins away just north of Pemberton but we'll worth the beautiful drive. We ordered the Green Curry with chicken, beef massaman curry, mixed vegetables in mushroom sauce and pad Thai. The dishes are very good and made in small batches as they are ordered. They are good portion sizes and would have served four adults easily. Next time I would order all of them 'Thai Spicy' as we're used to the heat!! I can't wait to visit them when they move to Whistler and I can try their homemade coconut ice cream!

We have a tradition of ordering Thai takeout for American Thanksgiving. We still kept that tradition strong despite not being in America for the holiday. So we ordered takeout to eat in our hotel room. We ordered the chicken satay, crab fried rice, and squid stir fry. My fiancé didn't like the spicy fish oil that came with the fried rice, but that was our only complaint. We'd totally come back here again on future trips to Whistler!

We decided we wanted to stay in and get take out one night. After reading the reviews Barn Nork was our top choice. A little worried that service would be slow, I called and placed the order a little before 4pm for 6:30pm pick up. It was easy and quick. We ordered the gai lan with pork belly, massaman beef curry, green curry with prawns, northern Thai sausage and 3 orders of rice (total $113-not bad). Food was ready when my husband picked up and it was seamless. The venue is very small so take out was a good option for us. The food all came in cardboard containers. Most of the curry leaked a little and was a little messy when we are trying to eat it. At the first bite of the massaman curry, my husband nodded his head and gave his approval and saying "this is "authentic". We all agreed. The massaman curry was rich and hearty with braised short ribs, potatoes and carrots. The green curry prawn with basil and eggplant was so tasty. The prawns were fresh and a good size. We all loved the gai Lan (a little undercooked) but the pork belly was perfectly cooked. Even traveling in the take out container back to our hotel couldn't ruin this dish. The skin was still crispy and the the pork belly was so flavorful. The least favorite dish of the night was the northern sausages. Three skewers of three sausages on each skewer. Came with a side of raw cabbage. The menu is not extensive at all. Not too many choices. For noodles they only have pad Thai and for fried rice, they only have prawn fried rice and some additional apps. The curry hit home and was enough for us.

Stopped by on the recommendation of a waitress at another restaurant. This place is amazing! The chefs are a married couple from Thailand and the food they serve is delicious. My favorite dish was the chicken green curry. The staff of the restaurant is very friendly and welcoming. If you like Thai food Barn Nork is the place to go in Whistler Edit: when we paid our bill we noticed that we had been overcharged and that a bottle of wine we did not drink was added to our bill. When we pointed it out, the host gave us the difference in cash. Hopefully not intentional but it was offputting when combined with the fact that we were not offered a receipt :)

Asian food in Whistler isn't always the best, but Mekong did a great job serving authentic and elevated Thai food. I later learned that Mekong is of the same family of Vancouver's Maenam and Sainam - explains the top notch quality. However, outside of the shoulder season Prix fixe menus, the pricing is on the higher side of things. No surprises for Whistler. I don't know if I'd come back if not for the special menu. Cocktails were decent but were definitely weaker. Mochi donut for dessert was the only negative note, and the only thing we didn't finish on the menu.

Menu is pretty small, and have a selection of appetizers, sides (starch) and mains. For appetizers we tried scallops, fried chicken wings, and roti. All three were pretty good. The raw scallops had a nice seasoning. The roti serving is small and pre-ripped for you, but had the flakey slightly burnt skin and buttery softness on the inside, and the curry dipping sauce was very good. The chicken wings had a pretty unique zesty and slightly sour seasoning, and had a nice crispy skin. For mains, I got the cumin lamb ribs which were delicious. Heavily seasoned with cumin and spices, and the ribs were tender and easy to chew. Would go well with some rice. Only item I didn't like from the table was the pad thai (vegetarian with tofu) which was way too sweet. Tasted like it was honey glazed and had the sweet aftertaste which was weird. Prices are not cheap of course given it's a resort village. 4 of us ate $300 worth of food.

They were out of a few things - no more oatmeal and only one serving of matcha left when we all wanted matcha, but the alternatives that we went with were still appealing, so it wasn't a big deal. The one matcha went to my mom, and it seemed like she got the scraps of it because it looked and tasted pretty watery. I got a chai latte which was pretty good but a little grainy. The food on the other hand was really good. I got the buckwheat pancakes and tried some of the smoothie bowl. The pancakes were hearty and fluffy, topped with a delicious berry chia jam and cashew cream. The plate came with 3 small-ish pancakes which was a satisfying portion that wasn't too much. We were also asked if we wanted maple syrup with the pancakes, but I ended up not needing to add any because the jam and cream were enough. Maple syrup is $2 for a small cup so I would recommend skipping it unless you really want something sweeter. The jam and cream are just modestly sweet which was perfect for me. The blueberry smoothie bowl was also delicious and came with lots of toppings - their granola had a delightful texture. It was a bit of a wait for food, so ordering the breakfast plates is probably not the best option if you're in a hurry, but they have ready-to-eat stuff available if you do want something quick, and the drinks didn't take long. I would be interested in coming back to try more of the food menu if I were in Whistler again.
