He simply had too many cases to handle while handling mine. Mr. Rowland and I spoke right before I appeared in front of the judge. He made a few errors while representing me in front of the judge. The ADA was fumbling about and Mr. Rowland helped her with her case (which was my case that he was supposed to be representing ME, NOT helping the ADA convict me. It was a super uncomfortable experience all the way around. I ended up getting DOUBLE the jail time than we had expected and I believe these errors contributed Heavily towards that. Well, he did warn me this might happen. That's why I have him right? After sentencing today, I feel I wasted all that money and could've potentially Had a better sentence if I represented myself. I am angry. I am angry that I hired a lawyer who thought it was a good idea to help the prosecutor convict me. I hate writing bad reviews, I really do. However; this is unacceptable. I got the ticket July 2 & the court date was scheduled for September 6, and it was mandatory appearance (anything in NC over 80 is mandatory court). The NCHP officer wouldn't budge on the 15mph over the speed limit either... but luckily, I came across Welborn Law Firm when googling traffic citation attorneys in Davie County... he was at the top of the search, and I see why!
