One of those shops that sells just about everything you could imagine a shop selling and a little bit more, this place is quite possibly the scariest place i have ever seen. Need a statue of an African lady carrying a water jug on her head? go here. Need a dozen lighters? go here. Random other thing? go here. It really is that bizarre. I would recommend going to this joint and spending a fiver on a random piece of tat for your mates next birthday. Yes they will hate you, but it'll be totally worth it when they unwrap their incredibly life like Gorilla statue....

Some of the delights you will see in the window? Well how is a replica of the titanic?, Billy Bass fish, wigs, dreamcatchers, virgin Mary statues, daleks, ornaments of staffy bull terriers and that breed of dog that is the same as Paul O'Gradys Buster, model trains and buses, a plastic dragon with red eyes that light up and wings that move back and forth, real life dolls, prayer books, hoover bags, Elvis statues ohh but to name a few. The real mystery of this place is that they actually sell everthing, every battery and light bulb, these guys have them all. If you went in with a missing bit of the Ark or you needed some bolts for a flying saucer these guys would pop through the back and mysteriously have them, all at discount prices!

They stock Johnstons paints which can be mixed to any shade you want on the premises and the paint is of a high quality and easy to use. It has all your painting and decorating needs. The woman who works here however, is not the most welcoming, but is still helpful, once you get past the initial coolness. Very handy local shop selling, screwdrivers, to light fittings, paper and paint.

It's a amalgamation of watch care (e.g. batteries, straps and the like), DIY supplies, electrical supplies and all kinds of bits and bobs in-between. There are some little knickknacks, candles and candle holders too which are not bad for a quick gift in a hurry or to brighten the place up. Admittedly, some of them are a little dated and the like but if you have a rummage you're sure to find something. Meanwhile, the other side of the business is unlocking and repairing mobile phones and PCs. Sadly, I didn't find this out sooner, when I drunkenly dropped my laptop onto the wooden floor and completely broke the screen right off of it. However, should anything happen like that happen again, I'll definitely make a stop in here and see what they have to say. Other plus points, are good prices and friendly staff who are more than happy to give you some DIY advice.

She gave me some ideas, and didn't look suspicious when I said that I'd be back later- my usual excuse when I don't quite know what I want, or have come into the wrong shop. I did have a good look around the stock: there is something exquisite in seeing so many artificial flowers in one place, and this is a classic example of a specialist store: big stock, items for all sorts of occasions and a knowledgeable staff. I am not quite sure when I'd want artificial flowers to this extent, but the shop itself is an interesting and pleasurable experience.

Statues, planters and topiary all combine to create a lovely, well designed window display. Inside, fruit and flowers emerge from every corner. Hanging baskets adorn the ceiling. There is even a flower-covered archway. Prices are expensive but, I think, worthwhile. Planters start at the £100 mark, but would really make your garden an exceptional, opulent place to be.

Sorry Bo-Concept - but I really was not impressed…read more Yes, you have a lot of attractive furniture. Yes, some of your smaller homeware pieces aren't too overpriced (especially in the sale). But that's where my positives stop. First up, for a so-called upmarket furniture store, I thought this place was actually really grubby. A bit of floor mopping wouldn't have gone amiss, and you'd have been wise to have removed the used coffee cups from your £400 dining tables. Secondly, your staff were not welcoming. We were given some really dirty looks by a certain member of your staff, and that was even before I'd (quite loudly) complained about the aforementioned coffee cups. And thirdly - a piece of your pretentious £350 "artwork" (you know the type, where someone has typed out a lot of cliched so-called life advice on a canvas in different fonts) had a pretty serious spelling mistake in it. And don't try telling me that was intentional. Next time I want to spend a large chunk of my hard earned cash on some furniture - I won't be doing it here.

Went in for the first time today because after reading those last wonderful reviews, I was overcome with morbid curiosity! Poe-faced Concept doesn't fail to disappoint on the arrogance front - although I wasn't given the cold, hard stare I expected from staff, I was largely ignored by them, which suited me fine since I could act like a fly on the wall and be left in peace. I obviously look poor - that's fine guys, it's entirely true! But you can't condemn a girl for dreaming! Since I've been subtly branded a poor working class girl, my cankered fingers had to surrepticiously reach for the price tag...I had to stop my jaw from dropping when I saw it was 150 quid for an EX DISPLAY lamp. Yes, that's right - Ex Display. Bugger off. Even if there ever comes a day when i have money to burn frivolously on items such as these, I doubt I would ever bother. Sure, they looked pretty but seriously, get real. If you were loaded, some trendy items in here may appeal - some of the stock is undeniably beautiful. Unfortunately, this place lacks the innovation and laid back vibe of Habitat, nor does it possess the charm and imaginative quirk of its West End rivals. It announces new arrivals in the window like we should roll out the red carpet for their overpriced (but, got to admit, nice) sofas - there's just something a bit off about this place. By all means go for a browse as they have some lovely stock but interior design competition has sprung up all over the place. So although Bo Concept may have been top dog a few years back, it's going to have to change its stand offish aura before it can attract a wider audience. And as Eleanor said, the richest people are quite often the least likely to flaunt it, so never judge a book by its deceptively dog-eared cover. You'll lose business if you do.
