I took 20 classes in 30 days, and tried all except the hot yoga. PROS: -Beautiful studio! The space is gorgeous and clean with lots of natural light in the pilates area and fun neon lights in the HIIT class area. -Great selection of classes and times to choose from. -The classes themselves are wonderful- HIIT ranged in difficulty and the pilates was always fantastic. -Low sugar plant-based smoothie menu was awesome. CONS: -Customer service- This was my biggest problem with the studio. I was rarely greeted or acknowledged when entering the studio or when leaving. Entire classes went by when I was not acknowledged at all. It was a very cold/unwelcoming environment. I felt incredibly out of place and always left feeling kind of...sad. There was just one instructor who actually learned my name and was friendly to me, and I took multiple classes from her (she was great). After I joined the studio I never got a "tour" / nobody showed me around or told me what to expect from different classes. I was left on my own to figure it out. I have tried lots of studios around town so felt mostly comfortable in the classes but if I was new to this type of exercise, I would be totally lost. -Price- I paid a little over $200 for a new member special 30 day deal. That gets you one (just one!) class per day. There were times I wanted to do a HIIT class in the morning and check out a hot yoga class in the evening but I was not willing to pay an additional $25 to double up. There *are* 75 minute HIIT/Pilates combo classes, though. -No private bathroom area/locker room. The bathroom area is shared with whatever business is down the hall. It's a typical office building bathroom situation- no hooks on bathroom stall doors or surface to put down a bag. Not convenient for the days I had to change after work. No bowls of hair ties/tampons or dry shampoo like every other studio I've been to has. Overall, with a more welcoming vibe and the option to double up on classes, I'd come back. Otherwise there are plenty of other studios around town that offer the same workouts with a better atmosphere, and for a better price.

I especially love Yoga Pilates, Reformer Pilates, and weight training. Every class is fun, energizing, and just the right amount of challenge. I've had six different instructors so far, and each one is unique, talented, and engaging -- you truly never get bored. Jody, the owner, is there often and teaches many of the classes herself, which gives the studio a warm, community feel. Her passion for what she does really shows. From the moment I stepped into the studio, I felt very welcome. The instructors/front desk staff are warm and friendly, and took the time to learn (and remember) my name. The class instruction is wonderful with every instructor (I think I have had 7 different ones!) energetic and enthusiastic. There has not been a single class I didn't like. The music is great. The workout is fantastic as well, and in one week I have already noticed a difference in the way my clothes fit (as well as a reduction in my body fat % for an objective measure). I signed up for a month before my free week was over, and I can see myself coming here for a long time!

I attended my first class at any Pure Barre today and am so happy it was here. Even though I was fairly out of my element (new to this form of exercise and unsure of the format of the class compared to others), Rebecca went out of her way to make me feel welcomed and comfortable. The class was a mix of veteran and rookie barre attendees (though to me it seemed like everybody had a good idea of what they were doing) - which helped since I could look to others to ensure I was pulsing, extending, and locking at all the right times in all the right places. Throughout the class Rebecca made sure everybody was on track and during the moments anybody fell off course, she would quietly provide direction and guidance. She would do so while keeping everybody else going. The music was perfect, the building itself was clean and organized, and the workout itself was just what everybody needed. Based on what the other ladies were saying, the other instructors also lead fun and rewarding classes. I will most definitely be going to this Pure Barre when I am back in town!! Don't wait! It's a great combination of cardio and strength, with a lot more switching than orange theory so you actually can keep your heart rate up more, and those of us without much cardiovascular endurance can push harder. It also lacks the obnoxiously in your face trainers of orange theory, which I cannot emphasize enough how much I appreciate. I might not be the best runner, but I am perfectly capable of working out as hard as I can without someone pushing my to injure myself. The instructors at tread are amazing at encouraging you to work hard and keep improving while recognising that every day isn't always our best day. The classes are a little pricey, but everyone should give this a try. It's definitely worth it.
