Nice restaurant with a beautiful ambiance. Food was also good. A good selection of vegetarian, vegan and meat options. Service was good and overall had a pleasant experience.

Truffle fries: hot, slightly crispy, not too much truffle flavor but overall good. Pork belly: meaty, juicy. The flavoring is interesting. It kind of taste like a desert. Not sure if there's cinnamon on it but it tasted like it.

I can only imagine how loud the place would be when they're busy but lucky for us, we came at 5:00 p.m. I didn't realize how big the place was just standing at the entrance but our host took us further back into the restaurant. The floor to ceiling windows gives the place a bit of grandeur. I ordered the lamb chops and he ordered the beef brisket. The lamb chops were tough. It was one of those times where you bite into it and the meat wouldn't come off the bone so you pull really hard on the bone while the meat is between your teeth and you hope you don't pull so hard that things go flying while five of your friends watch. The lamb did have some nice flavor but just too tough. The bed of potatoes were too abundant. It would have been nice to have had a small serving of a green vegetables with this dish. The brisket was nice and tender with a sweet tangy bbq sauce. It was a good portion for dinner.

We stopped by during happy hour, more for the food than the drinks. The deal was $2 off bites, so we ordered the pork belly, both the chicken and beef sliders, and the loaded tots. Out of everything, the loaded tots were definitely the standout -- flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and surprisingly filling. The rest of the dishes were just okay, nothing particularly memorable. Even the burger I ordered to-go didn't leave much of an impression. Overall, not bad for a quick happy hour bite, but I'd go back mainly for the tots.

I saw this place on the American Express app and we're heading to the mall one of the best brunch spots I've found in the Tysons area. The customer service was amazing. The food was amazing.

vibrant atmosphere, robust drink lineup, and some standout dishes--but service in busy times can be hit or miss. If you're going for Happy Hour or a relaxed brunch with drinks, it will be a great pick. They have huge patio sitting with big picnic benches. The vibe is great--modern, relaxed, with a nice indoor-outdoor flow.

Was staying in the Hyatt hotel for the night and decided to come downstairs for a drink. The atmosphere is nice, the bar is located inside as well as outside. The bartenders were very friendly, attentive and professional. I ordered a Lemon drop and a margarita, both were tasty. I've eaten here before but it's been a while and I don't recall the dishes or appetizer I had.

My girlfriend and I had a great catch-up here! It was a bummer we missed breakfast since we arrived around 11 a.m. on a Tuesday, but the lunch menu was delicious. The paloma was so refreshing! Very nice restaurant, with lots of seating. The location is great and we'd love to come back for happy hour.

I went to Barrel & Bushel for lunch. They were full with reservations for sit down, but I was able to find a seat in the open seating bar area. This area was a great spot to watch the games and for a quick casual bite! We got the tater tots poutine and a burger, both of which were made well and very tasty! The tater tots were my favorite and were very fresh and crispy!

This restaurant is located on the plaza at Tysons Corner shopping mall. They have a large seating area both indoors and outdoors. Inside there is a lot of wood and metal, kind of an industrial-rustic-chic vibe, with one wall full of coolers containing various beverages, from beer kegs to wine to bottled water. The menu is basically salads, soups and sandwiches, but with elevated and/or unexpected flavor combinations. Our table ordered a lamb burger, smoked she crab soup, and winter chop salad topped with amber maple salmon. We were there on Thanksgiving Day and they did offer a special Thanksgiving Plate. We all enjoyed our meals. All of the desserts sounded good but we were too full to partake, we did get cappuccinos, though, which made a nice finish to the meal. Service was prompt and friendly.

Crispy Mushroom Wrap & Trio of Dips

This place is just okay. Pretty standard, nothing overly exciting. The staff are very nice and took good care of us. The crispy mushroom wrap was bland and the fries were basic. The trio of dips was good, but needed more veggies. We had to ask for more to share between the 5 of us. Overall, decent place if you're staying at the Hyatt.

    Pub Sliders

We had our Spring Corporate Happy Hour at Barrel and Bushel. Everything was amazing. All the food was top notch especially the sliders and the goat cheese. We never ran out of food as soon as something was low a new tray would be brought out. Our server Ronald was exceptional not one person waited for a drink. Also a special thanks to Shelby for making it all happen. The Blueberry Basil Martini is not to be missed!

I must say their Mezze Bowl is something I'd come back for-- basmati, wild rice, & red quinoa, roasted red pepper walnut dip, classic hummus, succotash tomato arugula salad with balsamic vinaigrette. Option to add addtl protein incl chicken etc. Decaf Cappuccino was quite good. Hopefully same barista for my next visit and/or hoping they have good quality control ! It was a very nice dining experience. I wonder if they have a new chef ..

If you're hesitant about it being gamey, don't be! It had a perfect balance of sweetness from the caramelized onions and a distinct, smoky flavor from being torched. For the main, I had the Pan Seared Wild Petrale Sole, which was beautifully cooked and fresh. My friend loved the chicken, and we ended the night sharing a delicious dessert. Bonus: Parking was a breeze--we found a spot on the street right in front of the restaurant. We will definitely be back!

We definitely went to the Dabney quite a bit when Sam was working there. But, as for Evelyn Rose - we couldn't be more thrilled. When the Bazins announced that they were selling their restaurant, I honesty couldn't think of better new owners, and they have just nailed it. Food: The food is excellent. Always well-seasoned with lots of choices for all different appetites and preferences. A few specific touches that I personally love - half portions of pasta, options on an a la carte menu as well as a tasting menu (every evening!) and the ability to often order courses a la carte off the tasting menu. Flexibility is the name of their game, and it is truly appreciated. Chef Nick really has a way with fish, and that's frequently what I order there, but honestly, I think only one time did I have a dish that I felt was sub-par (I had a meat dish that was slightly overcooked and a tad dry) but that's a few and far between occurrence. Last night I had the rockfish dish which was perfectly crisped, and the sauce and beans that accompanied it were just perfect. My husband had the gnocchi which was light and fluffy. Service: Sam, the co-owner and Sommelier, is really just amazing at hospitality. He is friendly, warm, and always looking to ensure you are having a great experience. He's put together a small, but well-curated wine list - nothing overly expensive, and wines that you'd 'expect' to see as well as hidden gems. He's always willing to offer advice on wine pairings - not just for the tasting menu but the a la carte menu, which is always appreciated by my husband and I. Aside from Sam, generally, the service is attentive most times we have dined there - most of the time, if the service is lagging a bit, it's usually because they are packed! Vibe: Evelyn Rose has a cozy, warm vibe. Lots of exposed wood and blue and gold tones throughout the restaurant. Do note that it can get loud, especially on weekends when they are packed. Other: We are very blessed to have such an excellent restaurant down the street. Don't take my word for it - we were at Albi just a few nights ago and when we mentioned to the bartender we live in Vienna, they said "oh, have you been to Evelyn Rose?" (seriously!) Coming from a bartender at a one-star Michelin restaurant...I'd say that's quite the compliment. Looking forward to many more dinners at Evelyn Rose!

Carlyle is our go-to (11/10), Mikes American is wonderful (9/10), and Silverado (10/10) never disappoints. But we'll never visit Coastal Flats ("CF") again. CF was pretty busy so we ordered quickly: a CF lager, a cocktail, the community bread basket, the fritters as an appetizer, crab cakes, and a grilled chicken & havarti sandwich. Based on a recommendation, we REALLY wanted to try the fritters appetizer. Unfortunately, our entrees came out after the bread basket and we never had a chance to try the fritters... our multiple servers (their operating model) totally forgot about it and we never received the item. The butter for the bread basket was half liquid when we received it. The chicken sandwich was bland. The lager wasn't anything special. Crab cakes were as good as they should have been... for the market price of $36. But how do you totally forget about one of our orders? The staff tried to fix this by offering a free round of drinks or a dessert, but we already had enough to drink and the limited dessert menu only has three items. Hats off to the staff for offering, but with so many servers/staff constantly buzzing around and checking every table, why did this even happen? Nobody is perfect. Well, Mike's American, Silverado, and (the AMAZING) Carlyle are close. Compared to those restaurants in the same portfolio, Coastal Flats in the Tysons Mall is unbecoming of a Great American Restaurants establishment. We were disappointed and won't return. We suggest to everyone who has invested the time to read my review: go to any other of the Great American Restaurants, but SKIP Coastal Flats at the Tysons Mall as they might SKIP putting in one of your orders.

Fortunately, I was able to locate a spot without too much stress, prayer, or endless navigation. My wife was able to make a reservation and we were promptly seated upon arrival. Service seemed a little slow to take our drink order and receive them so I felt we had to guide the server on next actions to avoid wait. I had the pork chop which comes with cabbage but was allowed to swap it for mashed potatoes. A green vegetable would have been nice to come with the entree so I had to order additional sides such as the Brussels sprouts with bacon, and sweet potatoes. Everything was delicious. My son's roommate is a vegetarian and was able to find a lentil dish and salad on the menu for his meal. He was pleasantly surprised by the taste of the meal, ingredients, and low calorie counts across the menu. I asked for a bread basket if they had one since it wasn't offered and we received four 2"x4" thin pieces of a thin bread like a tortilla. I could've used a few more of those baskets while we awaited our meal since it didn't have an impact as a bread roll might. A good visit, good food, decent service, and a decent price.
