I was expecting some grand view, but honestly, it's not all that great. Unfortunately, the driveway is very rough, with roots pushing up the pavement. So be very careful when driving here. It would be very easy to smack the bottom of your car onto the pavement. The day that I visited, there was lots of trash around. In addition, the signs are covered with graffiti. So while I like the idea of a memorial, honestly, it's not worth more than a minute or so. Could use some TLC and better maintenance.

These include music and dancing courses, art classes, fitness, and cooking. The Los Altos senior program is also hosted here. I walk these grounds almost every day. If your thing is walking, it's close to downtown, you just have to cross the San Antonio Rd. Best way is to cross at the intersection where Enchanté Boutique Hotel now stands. Or you can park by the library, and walk around to see it all. I have reviews for many of the individual listings described below. This complex is an 8.3 acre site, which consists of the following facilities surrounding the Los Altos library: - The administrative offices of the Recreation & Community Services Department - Little League baseball diamond - The "Whistlestop" children's playground near it - The parcourse exercise equipment - A soccer field that is, essentially, the Hillview Park (please see a separate review) - Los Altos History Museum - Gilbert Smith History House - Bus Barn Theater, or Los Altos Stage Company There are multiple facilities that are available for rentals, like celebrations, social gatherings, and kids birthdays: two bocce ball courts, a multi-purpose room with kitchen, and several classrooms and meeting rooms. It's like they read my mind, because it's currently closed so that they can renovate the place!! I'm excited to see how these will improve the site and its facilities for the local community, and hope to update my review to a more positive one once the work is complete

Came here for their annual easter egg hunt and the entire family had a blast! I didn't even realize…read morethis event center existed, but it's just a hop and skip away from the Westlake shopping center. The event center is a bit dated, but the team did a great job sprucing everything up for the easter festivities. Kids were organized into groups based on their age range with staggered time slots. They brought out a fresh crate of eggs filled with candy and toys for each round. Although there was a good amount of kids and parents, it still felt fairly spacious and not overly crowded. After the egg hunt, we walked through the tabling booths that were set up inside and took a picture with the easter bunny in the adjacent room. They also organized story time for the little ones. Going outside, there were vendors set up in case you were interested in purchasing their goods. There is a wide grassy lawn where they also had activities set up and a play structure available as well. At the same time of this event, they also had a vintage car show happening in the parking lot with several food trucks set up. Even with this, there was plenty of parking available here. All in all, this was a great venue space!

This review is only for the Musical Storytime for young kids in the morning (mainly geared towards…read more4 and under). Lynn, the librarian who does this musical storytime is entertaining and fun. She has the songs on the screen so you can follow along. It's great that she sings the same core songs so everyone gets to know them and sing along and enjoy. It's also great that she plays a clear ukelele while singing the songs. Occasionally she might have some simple instruments to share with the young ones. You can grab a blue mat to sit on the floor during the half hr story time. During the summer, the room gets pretty packed so it's advised that you arrive on time or seating is limited. It sometimes gets a little noisy because it's hard to keep young babies from screaming and crying, but it doesn't bother Lynn. She keeps going. Lynn reads a few books in between the singing. At the end, all of the little cuties go up to Lynn and get a sticker...something they all look forward to and enjoy.

This review is for my recent experience at the pottery studio…read more I was ostracized when I confronted a hypocritical and nosy Karen over her instigating criticism on my clean-up. I calmly told her that "If you criticize my clean up, you have to clean it for me." My polite way to ask her to mind her own business. She went berserk and told me off to the studio guy E, accusing me of being rude while she was the one who crossed my boundary. Being a poor mediator, the guy sided with her without investigating. That was because he spied on my clean up in the past too, which was uncool! It made me uneased. I felt picked on. His behavior of one-sidedly consoling the bully, instead of remaining neutral was off putting. There's a constitutional right of "freedom of movement " that no one shall obstruct your free choice. I was glad I stood up for myself. Clay, no matter how careful you are with, will be inevitably left a few traces in the sink, and it is not a big deal. Everyone does it and everyone has his/her way of cleaning. No need to nitpick and be pathetic. To be bullied and snitched by someone who thinks she has the right to tell others what to do is disheartening. Pottery making shall be a peaceful time to create without being disturbed. To instruct people what to do as if acting as a social warrior puts a damper on freedom and creativity. They should put a sign next to the sink, that reads, "Please mind your own business when cleaning, as people like to be left alone." The entire community center is funded by tax payers' dollars, government-operated meaning it's run differently than privately-owned ones, and is more authoritarian in my opinion. As a paying customer, I'd like to access to my creative outlet without being disturbed yet my experience was tarnished by busybody commie control freak and a biased worker. I don't meddle with other's business and others should not meddle with mine. I also found some of their instructors controlling. They need to respect personal autonomy. Clean up is a very personal thing. If everyone does exactly the same thing, they can move to North Korea. It was a dissapointing experience. Move on to other options for my creative pursuit.

Mixed used complex, with playground , picnic, senior center activities, kids activities, and clean and modern facilities which I wish my city would have. So pretty here except for the geese poo. lol Hey it's true! Replace the geese with birds with smaller poo.

This is a very large library wherein every individual section is bigger than other libraries. They also have a fine selection of books in Chinese. For locals they have a great place where nice events are held at this branch. Bathrooms are well maintained although there were a few glitches with the men's room. Not sure what happened but it was pretty minor. Unlike my local library printing is free. Yes I get mine has like budget issues but like how this one is very well stocked. Would come here again if I could Drawback: On Saturdays, it can be rowdy here because there will be kids of all ages wandering around. Younger kids can and may make a lot of noise.
