Excellent service and atmosphere on a Saturday night. The food was prepared with pizzazz and flair in a great fusion of barbecue and taco menus. We tried the pollo tacos, the salmon tacos and the asada beef tacos, along with a delicious and zesty salsa to accompany the spicy chips. We ordered the frijoles to try those with the tangy chips and hit a home run! They were delicious together and the family was fighting over the remaining chips because the beans were so good to eat. We also tried the coconut rum and pineapple juice, along with the signature margarita. Both were made to order and ready within minutes. Delicious! We highly recommend this restaurant and know that whether you have family/friends who are looking for barbecue, tacos or other Mexican dishes (like empanadas or quesadillas), this place is definitely worth checking out. What a find! This taco place is connected to Annabelle's BBQ, so you can eat the meats on a taco or on a platter! My hubby loves BBQ but I don't eat meat, so this was perfect. He had the brisket and chorizo tacos and I had one shrimp and one salmon taco. The salmon taco was my favorite! It's smoked salmon but not like lox. It was delicious ! We got the cóctel de camarones and didn't love the sauce - it was a base of ketchup (gross), and not at all what we expected. The shrimp itself were cooked wonderfully. Please note: Google hours are not updated. They state this place is only open Thursday to Sunday, but we were told those are the low-season hours and that they have issues with Google keeping them updated. Good to know ! read more

This place is split with Annabelle bbq so you have a variety to choose from as you can order from either. We stuck to the barrio side of the menu. The food was good but I think a little pricey for what you get. We got the nachos which are $20. They really needed a little lettuce to cut through the spicy. The fish tacos were interesting. It has a bar and grill vibe with high tops bar and reg tables. The high top table we sat at didn't have enough room between chairs to even scoot in. 07.27.24 Wife and I came to the BBQ place last year the food was ok very expensive for bbq though. When we left we noticed people going to this Mexican place at the end of the building so we said we have to try it sometime. The place has totally changed we walked in and now the bbq and Mexican place share the bar in the middle that use to be a pizza place. We sat at the bar ordered tea to drink and then looked over the menu there is Mexican in one color and bbq in another you can order from either place. Wife had the bowl and said it was very good I had the chicken quesadilla with their homemade cheese and tortilla was excellent. It was a bit more than what I'm use to paying for this same quesadilla since you only get 1/2 and not a whole one and no rice or bean came with it they are extra. First Mexican restaurant I've ever eaten in that rice or bean didn't come with the meal. They have many different tequila's and bourbons if your in the area stop in and ask for Tim at the bar he's a great guy tell him Tim sent ya. I picked up takeout from this restaurant for around 8 people and it came out hot and fresh on arrival at our hotel. I had a beef and a pork taco and wife had the veggie taco. We also split a side of rice and beans. My tacos were kinda average, actually. My wife loved her cauliflower taco and the rice and beans were outstanding. I think mine were just a bit dry. No salsa was given to us and I think that would have helped greatly. Others had different items of the menu and there were very few complaints. I'd try this spot again for sure. Came back for the al pastor and quesabrilla tacos. They were on point though the tortillas didn't hold up very well. The al.pastor tacos didn't come w any kind of sauce so I probably would request a salsa (or at least pico de Gallo) next time read more

The location is within a shopping center. You are able to find parking on the front, side, or back of the building. You may entere from the front or back of the location. When we entered it was painters and construction men in the restaurant. Windows being painted while others have tools and electrical lines in the floor. We did received a welcome intro by several employees and we were asked if this was to be in dinning or takeout. We had to dine in since it was our last meal in OC before heading home. The places only had us and another couple that came in after us. I did notice they had a few people at the bar. Our waiter was wonderful and was prompt to take our drinks and order. The food is $$ but it doesn't lack flavor. One taco is a little over $6. We loved the tamales the best. The restrooms are kept cleaned a stocked. This was my first time in Ocean City Maryland. We don't eat seafood so we had to find something else in OC to eat. We love Mexican and this was close to where we were staying. This place was GOOD! Not a lot of room inside to eat, but plenty of places outside. If it's hot, that could suck (I hate eating outside during hight heat). My son and I got tamales and nachos. The tamales were done pretty smartly...they make the mas than put whatever protein you want over it...really enjoys them. My absolute favorite restaurant in ocean city. We don't leave OC without eating here at least 3x. My favorite is the chicken empanadas INSANELY good as are the nachos and everything else. So fresh and so tasty. The tres leches cakes are also fantastic. So excited there's indoor dining now so we can come here more often! read more

First off, they didn't even get our order right. We were missing our birria tacos, and were slightly confused because we thought maybe what was in the pictures was the tacos. Nope, it was the cheese quesadilla. This was only after 10 minutes that the quesadilla looked like this, it was cold and soggy and doesn't even look like there's cheese in there. My friends birria taco was good but it came with some other random taco looking thing in. It was very random and it was cold and the tortilla was rubbery. TL; DR: AWESOME! We picked up dinner from Barrio Taco, which is on the left side of the Rick's Market building on 64th street. There are some adorable outdoor tables, and a few stools inside. Carry- out is about your only option although they do have some outside picnic tables. They are owned by Fagers and have a bbq place next to this location. The steak platter was a special so it was served with flank steak, rice, and salad with Avocado on top. All bland with no sauce or flavor. Tamales topped with your choice. I got the chicken. Had lots of chicken that tasted like bbq and the tamale was not good. Solid and plain. Large serving but not very flavorful. Empanada was good but soggy. My daughter bookmarked the location. It's all she talked about so far this week. She saw a Tick/Tok about it. . Well we went on Wednesday after a visit to the outlets. The actual shop is by the police station in the back of a small "shopping square" it was tiny inside but they did have a shelf along the wall you could use if you opt to eat in. Hidden gem in Ocean City. We were tired of the standard beach food (oh yes, OC can call the restaurants whatever they want, but they are all disappointing beach blaaa) and we had our dog. I searched for a dog friendly restaurant and this jumped out for me. Great food cooked with the care and style of a 5 star restaurant. Delicious tacos! Everything we got was awesome. Would recommend for a quick lunch stop while in OCMD! We had our dogs with us and they have a convenient outdoor window to order at.
