It really is worth looking after the more expensive watches that maybe you're given as a present- future heirlooms perhaps if they are expensive enough? Time Piece take care of batteries, straps, watch glass and also some jewellery alterations. For people who, like me, tend to wreck the nicest pieces they are given by wearing them too much/ wearing them when drunk...

Never anyone else in (not entirely sure how they make a profit) but its full of clocks all ticking away, and chiming away, to themselves. The chap serving always seems to have an assistant and they're dead helpful. They've replaced watch batteries for me before instantly and also they've repairs a watch for me. I noticed that their clocks on sale seemed to be quite expensive in my opinion but then if they're not busy they'll need to mark them up to make a profit! They have a lot of stuff in there - nothing dead modern or trendy but a lot of traditional stuff and they're very kind and chatty in there so its worth a visit if you need a repair or are thinking of treating someone to a clock/watch as a present. No immediate parking but there's a side road where there'll usually be a spot so its not a problem.

Now however, I am deterred from visting Caddick's because it just never looks very welcoming and, moreover, the stock, which is as expensive as I remember, is a little old fashioned and simply never appeals. There is a display of ornaments and glassware as well as jewellery which is high quality and bound to appeal to a section of society. Personally, it's not my sort of thing.

i have always found catherine caddicks a lovely shop and i have to disagree with the other reviews…read moreas to the cost . if you take the time to actually go into the shop they have a lot of very affordable items . the staff i have always found to be very helpful and if there is a certain item you are looking for that they dont have they will always do their best to get it for you. they have some lovely items an stock a huge range of pandora items which is what i usually go in for, take your time and next time dont walk past go in and you may be surprised at what they do sell shop local and keep crosby village busy , ....
