It is a good place to get one as your voucher is also valid in other big centres such as Liffey Valley and Northside Shopping Centres in Dublin, Whitewater shopping Centre in Newbridge, Co. Kildare and the Merchants Quay Shopping Centre in Cork. The kiosk just inside the front door sells the vouchers and will also help out with any queries you may have on Mahon Point - they also have a range of helpful leaflets and a storefinder. Found the staff quite helpful and knowledgeable.

Utterly gorgeous little shop in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it roadside location in West Cork. They had…read morea little sign up along the way informing us that they had placed second (I think) in the Irish Times "best shop in the country" category, so I thought I'd pull over and have a look in on my way back home after passing through the village of Leap. The shop itself is actually quite large inside, with three separate rooms. Each room is decorated and carefully curated to show their lovely, quality, eclectic stock. It's really a homewares store I suppose, with lots of lovely unique piece. The lady I spoke to (I'm guessing the owner) was extremely friendly and helpful and encouraged us to have a good browse. I literally wanted to buy everything in the shop! She informed us then that they also have a website which you can order from (YAY). 100% worth a look if you are in the area!

Why do places serve up what's currently popular/trendy if they can't do it right. I almost forgot that it came with some mediocre chips and soup that was far far too sweet. Ok rant over. Not to worry and we headed for the Kilkenny Cafe in the village, in the former Stephen Pearce emporium. Walked through the shop. The cafe, indoor and outdoor, is at the far end. We were warmly greeted and took a seat outdoors overlooking the local fields and looking out towards Ballycotton. With a dinner arranged (fresh hake from the English market) for the evening, we didn't need anything major. Started with a delicious Potato and Leek soup (€4.50) and a couple of slices of gorgeous freshly made brown bread. Skipped a variety of well priced main courses - tempting salads, burgers, Paninis - and ended with a pot of tea and scones (with all the trimmings, including jam and cream). Total came to just over seventeen euro. Took a stroll through the shop and bought a few food items. Service, at both restaurant and shop, was first class, very friendly and efficient. So, if you are in East Cork, an under-rated area where there is so much to see and do, I'd recommend you mark this cafe as a stop on your tour.

There are various stalls all located inside what I guess was a parking garage and all have some slightly different wares on offer. Some quite kitschy, some quite odd and some downright cool. I wish we had more space to take stuff home with us but unfortunately my baggage allowance is full so I will leave it all to you Corkers. This is a real gem and a great place to potter around for a half hour or so, but only open on the weekends.

The setting its lovely, surrounded by tall green trees is an inconspicuous building. You venture in to find pottery. So much pottery. All the pottery. But not just that. There is also a brilliant kids corner. A pottery work room, which you can wander around. And a cafe (which we did not try). Everything was done so well. I recommend a visit if you are in the area. There are expected space fillers like bulk-order glass tile mosaic mirrors, scented candles and velvet scarves. But pick through the stock and find the real treasures here: vintage opera handbags, revived dressing tables and sparkling costume jewellery.
