Love the ice cream truck! This is a great location for a cold treat after a long hot day at our families​ favorite Cisco Beach. We can stop by on our way home and get a giant banana split or tasty salted caramel delight in a waffle cone. Not sure why 'ocean view' is in the name...maybe if you go to the very back of the farm you are on the beach but who knows... I don't like the changes that have happened over the years...I remember when it was just a farm. And then a covered farm (that was great!). But now it's like a legit grocery store which crazy prices. The place has grown over the years and they have done a very nice job upgrading. They have two giant cows out front that my son loved looking at (Ben & Jerry - very cute). They have a small little playground which was just big enough for my 20 month to play with.. Could it be nicer, yes. But it was nice enough The market was very nice, the prices aren't actually terrible, being from Raleigh, yes there was a premium but it's not like the gas premium on island and the fruits and veggies are very fresh... Didn't do anything with the deli or prepared food counter as they looked very expensive and just eh... The pies looked good but way too expensive for my blood. They toy section is just a bit out of the element and I wouldn't have had that there, takes away from the market feel and more touristy... The old Bartlett's would have gotten 5 stars from me, but it makes me a bit sad that it's turned all supermarket like with an actual (not dirt) parking lot. They definitely have more variety now but there was something great about the dirt parking lot and small variety. The farm fresh veggies are delicious and the choice in the summer is fantastic. I've been a farm member since arriving on Nantucket in '88 as we live in old Cisco. During Covid 2020, it was a lifeline as I was afraid of going to the grocery store. Generally I find their take out food not highly spiced...actually it generally needs spices. I bought their Gazpacho yesterday. I've lived in Thailand and always said their jungle curry the hottest dish ever encountered. That prize now goes to Bartlett's Gazpacho! read more

Just an all around great farm store- it's more like a fine foods market with the bonus of having beautiful flowers and farm fresh produce from right outside. There is also a section of cool T-shirt's and hats and a kids section with books and toys and some clothes. Nice selection overall of things. Some good prepared foods, in particular they have an amazing key lime pie- not too sweet- delicious! read more

This should be your only place to by your groceries on the island! Everything is so good that you end up come back over and over. Best to go early in the day before the crowds get going. Fresh made sandwiches are available if you don't have time to have them make you one to order. You are paying top dollar but you are getting top quality food! The flowers are also fresh and nice. We usually stop and get some flowers and groceries when we first get on the island, the flowers last for weeks but the food is gone in days from my boy's appetites. We tend to shop there every other day or so as we pass by it on the way to the beaches each day. It is west of downtown and best to drive to if you plan on bring things home. read more

Overrated and overpriced. Years ago it was a nice family farm and market stand. Then they got the community to donate money to "help pay their property taxes" so that they didn't have to sell their acreage for development. That money ended up being used to build the current huge market. Same family still owns it, however, it's the same as any other place with commercial produce brought in. Very little is organic - if any. Might as well go to the local grocery and pay less. At least there you can find organic food also. Ordered sandwiches. They lost the order somehow. We stood there for an hour and 15 minutes! The people could not be more rude or unpleasant. It was actually amazing to see such unpleasantly. I love this place despite its prices; I really do. That's why I bought a gift card for my family who are Nantucket residents. The only option offered @$6 was to snail mail the card (after Paypal payment). The debacle then began, which exposed nonsensical delivery procedures (via certified mail), and horrible customer service. The card was sent via certified mail -- not a great idea given the sporadic mail delivery on the island, coupled with the fact that most people are not sitting around waiting for mail delivery! My family's effort to retrieve the giftcard at the post office was equally futile, as the card was returned unclaimed by the post office back to Bartlett's! After speaking with several unanswered and unresponsive Bartlett's staff who claimed no access to a database of the giftcard purchase records, my family will now attempt to get the card (or a replacement card?) at the farm. Utterly ridiculous. Do not order gift cards via the website. Totally unreliable. read more

Devon the baker is amazing. The desserts here are spectacular. Had a wedding cake from here and not only was it beautiful but it was actually the best tasting wedding cake I've ever had. Turns out it's a fraction of the cost it would have been from any specialty cake baker downtown. Bartlett also has lots of prepared foods, organic and farm fresh produce, groceries, a large garden area with potted plants of all sizes and colors and a children's section with games and toys. read more

Bartletts is my favorite grocery store on the island. I don't like tomatoes but I will eat Bartlett tomatoes raw, like an apple. It is on the more expensive side, but so is everything on the island. Although it was cute as a greenhouse with a little food - it is a whole lot mire useful in it's current incarnation. Although you can eat okay out of the S&S, it's just not at the same quality level. Another staple of Nantucket, especially if you are staying a week and plan on cooking. The produce is just as expensive as Stop and Shop, but the quality is far, far better. They try to grow as much as they can on island, so you can keep your tab down if you plan out your trip and buy in-season fruits/veggies. And the experience has your quintessential Nantucket vibe, no one is cranky while waiting in line, people are always smiling, and you can manuever your carriage by someone else's without any huffiness. This place is the perfect stop before the beach. My mom and I stopped and bought sandwiches and cakes before hitting the beach.

I get takeout lunch here about 2-3 times per week in the summer. Lobster roll, clam plate, pre made salads, especially the simple tomato salad in the display case by the deli are standouts. They also have a very tasty Porchetta torpedo sandwich. Prices are high but not completely out of line with the rest of the island for most items. I'd suggest avoiding the tossed salad and greek salad in the to go containers around the corner from the deli - at $11 for a single serving mostly consisting of lettuce they are an incredibly poor value even by Nantucket standards. read more

It's disappointing that there isn't more produce or a variety of produce offered since it is a farm, but what was there was on par for Nantucket pricing. The staff there are extremely nice. This was our destination for a walk from the Nantucket Boat Basin. Very nice, upscale grocer and garden center. Staff was super friendly and helpful, even suggesting a great shortcut for the way back. The fields of flowers as we approached on foot made us feel as if we were in France or Holland. Pricey, yes. I'm a long time ACK visitor and we have a house in town. I used to go to Bartlett's a lot, often on my way to, or home from, Cisco Brewery. Bartlett's is now restricted parking on the road at Cisco Brewery, creating a real problem for Cisco and it's visitors. Until Bartlett lifts the ridiculous parking restriction (they put a fence right up to the road leaving no shoulder), I AM BOYCOTTING BARTLETT'S and encourage you to do the same. read more
