The pay is $90 if you don't have medicare, so a bit more expensive than others, but the also offer other services beyond GP visits that would be very expensive if you were to go to a private practice.

I have met a few of these in Sydney. Then I found the best GP in town at the Strathfield Plaza Medical Practice,Dr Piyush Sinha . He is everything that I could ask from a doctor and more. I have gone to him for every little small or even serious problem and till date - I have not been disappointed. He knows that a patient is bound to have a million questions and is always ready to answer them. Always ready to go that extra mile for his patients. Sometimes I have to wait hours to see him - but I can say that the wait is worth it. I feel a lot more at ease and know that I have taken advice from one of best doctors in Sydney. Not only is his mannerism calming and caring, he has a wealth of knowledge. As a PTSD patient, I would often be judged by doctors. Dr Javahari has never taken matters lightly, and made his mission to never make me feel judged for my illness. He insisted on monitoring me weekly, when going through bad bouts, so as to keep me safe. All-in-all, he has saved me. Helped me with physical ailments, psychological ailments or would refer me onto the experts need be. The receptions were friendly, the waiting area is very neat, clean and spacious and the doctors rooms were comfortable. The doctor and nurse that I had were very nice and thorough however I have one picky thing, which in hindsight is I feel annoyed about. My child had been sick for a few weeks and I was feeling the sleepless nights catching up with me so wasn't all together present. I'd overheard the receptionist say that the doctor and nurse I was seeing were running late for something, a flight perhaps. Though I was really grateful I'd got an appointment the morning I'd booked it I was not so happy to feel rushed through it. I consider myself a fairly efficient person and don't tend to dilly dally around subjects yet I felt we didn't quite have their full attention - the nurse in particular. Saying this I will certainly go back as it's likely this was a one off and my sister has nothing but great things to say about the doctors here. Especially with issues such as genetic disorders, you want a doctor who is skilled at multitasking and has been around the block so you get what you need in the time they allocate you. Like any bigger practice, they seem more focused on getting patients in and out within a specific time frame than spending whatever time is needed to resolve the issue. You might find some caring doctors here but big practice policy ends up leaving you feeling like a number not a client. OK if you need your flu shot. Not so great if you have a rare genetic disorder that has more than fifteen years of collaboration between hospitals and specialists to date. When you simply need to get pain medication without weeks of debate over whether you "really" need it, this practice was a proverbial and at times literal pain in the back. As I said, there's a right doctor for the right ailment but in my personal experience here, that isn't always the same doctor. There are also some doctors who are extremely judgemental and at times have been just outright rude. Like I said, it's a lucky dip. EDIT: I reduced my review down to one star, as out of nowhere and without notice I recieved a letter in the mail shortly after my father died of a heart attack advising me that I had missed too many appointments and would no longer be able to book ahead. I called to appeal this as I also suffer from multiple physical conditions as well as paranoid schizophrenia. They rejected my appeal. This practice is without a soul. Many times I am unable to even answer my phone because I'm afraid I'm under surveillance. I try my best to get to my appointments, but when you live a life in constant worry that you are being followed by government agencies and spied on as soon as you leave your house, life becomes almost impossible. I can't believe that they would send me a letter like that, after my dad died and was also a patient at their practice, and reject hearing me out as to why I'd ONLY missed apparently ten appointments OVER THREE YEARS. A bunch of soulless administration staff that live in their dungeons here without hearts or souls. LAST UPDATE: The CEO banned me from the clinic after illegally cutting off my regular medication, and access to my primary GP that had been treating me for over five years, that I had been on for over three years and almost killed me simply because they claimed I was "rude" which is a blatant lie. This practice cuts corners, illegally, and will eventually pay for their negligence. I am certain the HCCC will also see this as the injustice and abuse that it clearly is. Disgusting people, incompetent doctors and staff, so if you value your health and your life, find an alternative provider.
