I am however never going to shop here again due to how they treated me recently. An amplifier that I bought from here 12 years ago has stopped working so have taken it for repair and they charged me £40. An 'engineer' called me about a week later and said he couldn't repair the amp due to needing a part that he isn't able to obtain due to how old the amp is. I return to the store to pick up the amp but am told that the £40 is non refundable! There is no mention of this on the receipt I have been given and I'm told I can have £20 off a new amp from the store. The reason i am given is that they need to pay the engineer £20 for opening up the amp. When I raise the point that if the engineer knew that the amp was too old too repair then why did he open it up and thus they charge me, surely the store knew that his amp was too old to repair and therefore should have just advised me of this when I first came in. Poor service provided and no sympathy with the customer at all, not something I am pleased about and definitely would advise any potential customers to be aware of this before buying any expensive tech from here!

It's got the market it is aiming for down to the absolute smallest detail! Great range of all the electricals and what's even better?! They will do a quote to network your house full of the stuff! Of course the rpice is expensive but this is the best premium brand around and the staff are the best at their jobs!

I took it back after a couple of days of purchase and explained the problem and the member of staff told me to leave the phone with him and he would speak to the manager about refunding me and that he would call me when he had done so. Three weeks went by without a call. I called the store and the staff member said he had forgotten all about it but he would speak to the manager later that day and call back tomorrow. No apology. Still no call so I went into the store and the staff member said he had again forgotten to ask the manager but he would do so the next day (again no apology). Still he did not call so I called the store and he had yet again forgotten to ask the manager but he said he was due in within the hour and he would speak to him and call me back. Several hours passed without a call so I called the store and the staff member said that unfortunately the manager would not refund me because there was nothing wrong with the phone and it was not their fault it did not work with fibre optic. After all the money I have spent in that store I would have expected a lot better service. They are nice to you when they want to sell you something but no help at all if anything goes wrong. I will never shop at any B&O again and could certainly not recommend them.

He brought it over, the unit was scratched and had gunk stuck to the bottom of the speaker. I said to him that it is a used item - but TS Mike said it is a service model. Which meant that it had been sitting in their office being used for the last however long. I didn't buy it, but I had wasted 30 minutes travel each way. No apology forthcoming. Stay away and use the internet. And don't use this company.

Not so here! Now, I must say I've DJed for many years so have a decent understanding of sound equipment and some of the technical aspects and what I like and don't like, but those guys didn't know that. Prepared for the worst, I visited with a friend who worked here many years ago. I was in the market for a new wifi stereo amp and speakers, and the staff was polite without being demeaning, and answered my endless questions. The listening lounge was busy and as I wanted to test out some speakers, they were gracious enough to hook up 2 or 3 different sets for me to hear ....none of which I got in the end as I didn't like them. Nonetheless, I did purchase an awesome Marantz amp. Overall I found the prices to be fair , some things were on the high side but they have regular deals/sales. I'm in the market now for a 'smart' TV and will probably return there to buy it.

This Maplins is exceptionally well stocked with every type of electrical thingy you could need. They have hundreds of in stock cables, connectors, etc. This store also had a wide selection of remote controlled cars which was a great present for my nephew. You can also find many computer accessories here. A great store which seems to have taken the place of another one of my favourite stores which are no longer around called Tandy's.
