My favorite place to shop at the Brea mall! This is my thing if anyone knows me, I'm all about the scents. I love perfume and I love candles! I don't normally buy the body sprays unless it's a really good deal since they don't last long on the body. The lotions are awesome and I always buy them. The body lotions are the best ones because they are thicker and moisturize the best. The hand lotions are good but more watery and hence the name, are only best for your hands not whole body. They always get new scents in so it's fun to try the new ones depending on the season. Candles...my favorite! If you saw my collection of candles from here you would probably think I'm crazy. The candles last a really long time and smells the whole house. The best thing is if you don't like the scent and your candle is half way or more they will let you return it and exchange it. They normally have coupons for spend $30 save $10. read more

I bought the three wick candle which was on sale on Saturday. I asked when will the sale end and I was told, "We don't know the exact date but for a few more days". I went in today to buy another candle and was told the sale is over. When I asked the manager why I was told a few more days she said "we never know what day the sale ends, we are told the day of." I was there during a sale and i thought i grabbed the right stuff next to the sale sign,i got to the cashier and asked for prices on the sale items,i asked did i get the special they were having? My credit card chip was in the machine so i was done paying but she canceled my transaction,i dont know why so i repeated my question and the cashier said i dont know which items are part of that sale, she said just come back when youre ready she suspended the transaction when i was going to pay for my items but after she told me just come back i told the cashier that i am not coming back. So i left i explained to my friend i felt like i was being pushed out the door instead of getting the help i needed to solve my question. They advertise ALL their soaps 6 for $26.00 and we did ask someone just to make sure and they said yes all soaps are 6 for $26.00 but I was overcharged. I've been a loyal BBW customer for many, many years. I've shopped at about every attainable store in our area and even in cities I happen to visit. I love their products, always have, always will. Today, I was really surprised by the unwelcoming reception I received from the one cashier that was there this afternoon. When I was ready to check out, she was no where near the register and I had to ask her if I could get some assistance. She seemed preoccupied with her conversation with the salesperson on the floor. Was she upset because they were understaffed? Was there drama earlier? Did I interrupt something? Guess what? That doesn't concern me as a consumer and customer. All I know and expect is the customary smile one should have on their face when ringing up a customer. It's really a shame since I've shopped at this mall store countless times. Methinks, I may have to nix this place and shop elsewhere where I will be met with some kindness. read more

Even though this bbw is cramped, as it is always busy (but not as busy as the Apple store haha), I still go to this one to see what they have. The quality of their materials, is of course, the same as the other bbws in the area. But one difference, pointed out to me by a fellow yelper, is that they have more men working here! Haha not going to give it 4 stars because of that, but it's nice that this store is more gender friendly. It is located next to the Macy's Women, but you'll find it. Many people usually have the BBW bags around Macy's. The employees are friendly and help you with whatever your needs are! Although they sometimes do not know what coupons I'm giving them (via their email), instead of accusing me of bringing a bad coupon, they check to see if it works (and luckily for me it did work). Can you say semi-annual sale? I went into the crazy sale with tons of people but the staff was calm, collected and very helpful. Unfortunately I cannot remember the gentleman's name that helped me but he helped me figuring out how to save money on the app which resulted me in spending $40 instead of $4 I planned on (happily) I got 8 aromatherapy lotions for $40!! Why in the world does anyone shop here? Their seasonal candles could kill Christmas they smell THAT bad. What's unique about their lotions and body butters? Feel free to message me with the answers because I just don't get it. We went shopping on Christmas Eve Eve aka "Super Saturday" and needed to buy some gifts from Bath and Body Works. Whose idea was it to have a total of four employees working that evening?! Do you not expect last minute shoppers? Three cashiers and one person greeting/walking around answering questions. She was real helpful when she bluntly told me a product was sold out and disappeared. I just can't. We grabbed what we came for and stood in line. Redeeming fact: it moved fairly quickly so thanks for that. If the sales and/or coupons also work for online purchases, do that and avoid coming in to this location. I like the soaps here, but they aren't doing so hot at curbside pickup. The email I got told me to pick up my order in store, but my location had curbside only. Outside the freaking mall by the California Pizza Kitchen. When I went to the store, they sent me there, calling it CPK (who the crap calls it that? I had to google it to figure out what she meant) and call from there. So I also had to google their number because that was also nowhere in the email. Came in today at around 5pm, everything went great UNTIL I got to the cashier, this super loud and obnoxious employee by the name of Laurie decided to stick her big nose and have an opinion on who has to be the one paying for things. I went with my sister and she then says "he should be the one paying " like ???? She has no business to say who should be the one paying nor does she know who's this going to, nor does she know if my sisters using my money. She should just do her job and keep it pushing. Not only that but she decides to literally scream at the top of her lungs like if she was mad for my sister that she was the one paying for some mid ass candles. I look up and I see all the cashiers embarrassed for me. before even getting to the cashier I literally saw her just being all up on people's business. Very helpful staff & organized store! I always go to this location in Brea Mall if I need something from Bath & Body Works. Today I went here because a previously purchased body spray of mine wasn't spraying at all, despite trying again and again. I bought this spray months ago and no longer had a receipt, but they still let me trade it in for a different one. It turns out, the body spray I purchased was made without a straw to get the product to the nozzle. Best part is, they let me exchange my Japanese Cherry Blossom spray for one of their new scents, Velvet Sugar. This store is always extremely busy on weekends and during sales. Don't expect it to be organized during sales because people go absolutely crazy for their products. During their semi-annual sale this year, which took place the day after Christmas, I scored $3 body lotions and $5 body creams... but I had to go through quite a crowd just to get to the register. it was worth it. They're always handing out coupons at the registers, which I highly recommend you use. They can usually be combined with whatever promotion they are having at the time, saving you even more money. read more

i freaking hate this bath and body works. bbw is known for 100% satisfaction policy. and i have been a huge fan of that.. not that i return stuff often because their stuff rarely disappoint me. i have been buying/burning/collecting their 3wick candles for a while, and im a fan! just recently i took advantage of their 2 for $20 sale and got myself some seasonal scents. one of the candle didn't have a clean burn, and it didn't burn evenly. which was unheard of because bbw's candle is pretty good quality. but i love the scent so much i wanted to go exchange for the same scent and give it another try to see if it was only the one that i got was messed up the "manager" at this location was so rude! she kept saying that since i don't have the receipt for it, she can only give me the lowest sales price ($5?! excuse me since when did i miss out on the $5 3wick candle sale) i told her i want to exchange for the same scent but a new one. she said it's out of stock because it was a holiday scent. i asked if i can exchange it for another scent, and she told me i had to pay add $15 because the 2 for $20 is over. i'm sorry but what happen to the 100% satisfaction policy? it's not like im asking for a refund.. she wouldnt even do an even exchange because the scent was out of stock. i have never had any problem doing even exchanges even on seasonal scents (one time i accidentally picked up a wallflower refill ( i originally wanted 4x twilight woods but i think i picked up something else. so i got 3 twilight woods and 1 other season scent cuz they have the same light brownish color/packaging) and i was able to exchange it back to twilight woods without a receipt without a problem. i wish i asked for her name but i was so pissed off and just walked out the store. i'd most def give her a rate of all 0s on this visit. read more

They don't know how to make eye contact. I came in with my girlfriend and before we walked in, the guy just made pure eye contact with my girlfriend avoiding any eye contact with me until I said something to him. He was not hitting on her because I know he is gay. But not making eye contact with a customer is a form of offense. I just tried to ignore it and move on. So I shopped around in the store with her and went to buy myself a candle with a masculine fragrance that they had on sale. She bought herself some body lotion. So when we came to the front counter to buy our stuff separately, the girl made pure eye contact with her. Avoiding any eye contact with me. Until, again, I said something to her. If you don't want to attract males, don't sell products that are also designed exclusively for men. Not making eye contact is basically ignoring. Ignoring is a sign of disrespect. I will not spend my money here anymore where they have employees with no manners. read more

First off, I love this store and I would suffer greatly if they ever went out of business. Everyone working there is very helpful and if you need assistance, they are eager to help. I have replaced all of my expensive perfumes with three scents from Bath and Body Works and I get compliments daily. I use warm vanilla sugar most of the year (men love it) and in the Summer I switch back and forth from "at the beach" to "in the sun." With each, I purchase the body wash, the lotion and the body spray. The lotion is essential if you want the scent to last throughout the day. I can purchase all 3 scents for under $90 when there is a special going on and let's face it, there is always a special going on. That's 3 scents for less than one perfume at a department store and they last a long time. My only complaint is that they don't carry everything in travel size so I was missing my "at the beach" when I went to the Bahamas. I bought the .23 ounce bottle but it didn't last the entire 5 day trip :-( read more

Walked in to get some body wash and was greeted by Paula with so much enthusiasm I couldn't resist but to ask for her name. She assisted me with all my needs and showed me all the new products. Needless to say my bag ended up full. As I proceeded to the check out - I started to think if I needed anything more - and Morgan (clerk/sales agent) asked if there was anything else I needed and I did; of course... she was so patient and kind. She waited for me and my daughter to make our final decisions and even let us stay in line while she went to get the additional items. We left there with excellent customer service and happy smiles. I was greeted by Becca at the entrance. She was so warm and inviting, had a shopping bag ready for me, and asked what she could help with. I wanted to find a candle similar to the one I purchased a couple months ago, and she suggested Cranberry Woods. It smelled AWESOME. It was exactly what i was looking for. I also talked to Kim on my way to the register. She was really nice and friendly as well. She joked around with me a little and just made nice conversation. I visited today during a hectic sale filled Saturday. The staff was wonderfully working together to keep the half priced candles stocked for customers and help people through the line at the registers. The teamwork was really shining. I waited in line and there were two cashiers working at a quick pace moving people through. I had a lovely woman with dark hair a great smile whose name I'm so sorry to have forgotten! As I was checking out and the other cashier Garrett (I made note of his name as I was leaving) finished the guest he was helping and was stepping away to assist with things at the front of the store, and thanked the one or two women with few items that she would be with them shortly. The woman right behind me started up about how she couldn't believe that he wasn't going to help them because she "worked in customer service for 11 years" and threatened him with "you can't do that to us we'll be on yelp so quick". He started processing her return for her, being helpful, and putting off other things he needed to tend to even though she was being an insulting utter nightmare. Honestly this whole post is just a shout out to Garrett who handled that woman like a champ. Retail is not an easy job, people can be awful, and all of the employees at this store handle them like champions.
