My wife's disabled and we needed to convert our traditional bathroom into a wet room. We'd had several quotes from accredited/recommended installers but none of them inspired us or convinced us which was the best solution for us. A neighbour then recommended Bathrooms Galore. I went to the showrooms in Stoney Lane and had a look around and a chat with Andy Board and arranged for him to come out and give us a quote. He came to our house and listened to our ideas and thoughts and then talked us through all the options and alternatives that were available to us. A few days later he came back with his recommendations and a quote based on what we had agreed. The details and specifications were far more informative and helpful than any of the others we'd previously had. He also supplied a 3D simulation of the finished bathroom and catalogues illustrating all the fittings and furnishings that would be installed. And the total cost was in line with what we had previously been quoted by installers who had not given us any confidence. Unfortunately due to a change in our circumstances we have not been able to proceed with the work. However based on the work they did for our neighbour and the professionalism, patience and attention to detail that Andy displayed I would not have hesitated in asking them to go ahead with the work. Appalling Customer Service. We were promised 3 bathrooms completed in 2 weeks, 2 men were promised from day one. Now nearly seven weeks in, we have one complete bathroom and a sales person that refuses to pick up my calls. There has also been 1 person on site for the majority of time they have actually been here, which has been inconsistent at best. Couldn't be more disappointed. A stressful experience. I was recommended to Bathrooms Galore and the experience started well with excellent customer service from Penny. The work was a week late starting but these things happen and the fitter Dean did beautiful tiling and was an excellent fitter. My problems started when Penny had sick leave and Dean was taken off my job and sent to another. I was left with a toilet that didn't flush solid waste - another was ordered - a shower fan that didn't remove the steam and all the old bathroom debris in my garden and engineers materials in my conservatory which had to be collected (and extra tiles I thought I would be able to keep ) and left with a promise that it would be collected by 5pm a certain day. I waited in that day but no one came or rang. I rang Bathroom Galore and spoke to Andrew who wasn't very helpful. My breakdown in communication with Andrew resulted in my waiting weeks for further loft plumbing as the original water tank they bought wouldn't go through the loft hatch and the fitted shower fan was not fit for purpose and had to be changed. In fairness the final engineer who came was brilliant. He picked up the pieces and sorted all the issues out. Compliments to Penny and Dean but I'm sorry I cannot recommend your firm as I couldn't wish the personal stress and anxiety experienced on another customer. read more

My parents needed a bath panel and a couple of sq.m of laminate flooring laid and so I returned to Bathrooms Galore as I and other family members/friends had previously bought bathrooms etc off them. BIG mistake, whilst I had bought off them before I had never employed their services. We were sent the son (Luke) of the owner who apparently was a carpenter, but what a mess he made and the quality of his work was very poor. He left pieces of laminate out behind radiator pipes, toilet pan. Knocked off tiles saying that they "fell" off, nailed the trim into the laminate causing some damage to the trim. If this wasn't bad enough, the after care was incredibly bad - they simply did not care and when I spoke to the owner (Mark) and showed him photos he replied "well what did you expect it to look like?" After explaining that I expected it to look finished to a professional standard he asked if I would like him to contact my parents that afternoon to maybe go and have a look!! After 2 weeks of chasing them up they finally came out to make good - were there for 20 mins and still did not finish to a satisfactory standard. Due to much upset and the ill health of my parents we have decided not to pursue this further, but be warned, all smiles to lure you in and the customer service after care does not exist!! I have had a disaster with my bathroom. Water leaked into the kitchen from the shower above, walls and tiles are uneven. All the workmen do not have a clue how to renovate a bathroom. I have gone to the FMB filled in a form with all the complaints to have a reply back saying in a few lines that any reasonable customer would think all this was acceptable. I have had to fork out a further £1000 to put everything in right to how can this be acceptable?. I certainly would not recommend Bathrooms Galore to anyone. read more

Nestled between jolly tots and ortons builders is a gem of a bathroom company. I went in on the off chance looking for a mint green toilet seat and walked out 3 hours later and six grand lighter having chosen a whole new bathroom suite. The day arrived and the fitters turned up albeit 3 mins late and started work on my new bathroom. Time flew by and in just under 8 days they asked me upstairs and showed me my wonderful new sanctuary style bathroom retreat. I haven't left the room since and am actually writing this review perched on my new back to wall wc pan as I seem to get the best wifi connection at this angle. I can honestly say I am delighted with every aspect of the service I have revived. The free years supply of Andrex was a nice touch. Pop down and see for yourself. read more

We used bathrooms galore to refurbish our extended bathroom.... The biggest mistake of our life... the fitters were sub-contractors who had no pride in their work. The tiles were all uneven the tile trim was left unfinished cut with a blunt blade and all ragged the cubicle was put on upside down the shower leaked, the laminated floor was cut uneven and filled with clear silicon screw covers was missing, handles on the cupboards have the silver flaking, the shower leaked underneath as the fitters had not put a whole tile in one place and cut it short so there was a space that water leaked in to the ceiling cavity which eventually bought down the kitchen ceiling..... The fitter came back and said they couldn't understand what our problem was... Andrew was apologetic and tried his best to resolve the issues... Mark what can I say "was a complete AS*H$e and had no interest what so ever.... we eventually took it to trading standards who agreed that the job was a shambles and told us to instruct court proceedings.. We had paid instalments, big deposit , on delivery, and the last to the fitter don't ask why we made the final payment as even now I'm still asking myself that question.... in the end we had to get someone else to finish the job.... but it lost the shine and now if I won the lottery I'd rip it out and do it again... not with Bathrooms Galore "NO WAY" don't even look at them...... read more
