The prices seem reasonable, although on some of the household items (such as cleaning products,) I would say that you could probably find them cheaper elsewhere. He really knows the product he sells as helped us while choosing model, advising sizes and colours etc. We've been very specific that want to get furniture before Christmas so we place the order before deadline we've been given. Troubles has started straight away as we never got reply on our questions by mails and could never get hold of him by phone. On the week of installation, we finally got him over the phone and was told that there's delay from manufacturer and we will get furniture 3 weeks later. Really? Could we have mail / text / call about that? After that, we've got new dates later (further push back) and overall, delivery was delayed for a month. During installation we've been told that he is working with this team for 10 years already but when we got back to the house, we've noticed quite a few visible scratches on the walls. But the major was: they have made holes in the coving as wardrobe did not fit! (Note, it was made to measure wardrobe!) Nobody contacted us during installation, they just made it their way (Would you do the same in your freshly refurbished house, guys?) No need to say that we could not get hold of Chris for quite a few days and finally when we got him over the phone - he promised to come back to us the same day and potentially send guys over the weekend to try to fix this issue. Of course, it did not happen. Abitalia Poole sells premium furniture (means expensive) and such service for this product is just unacceptable. No communication. Poor installation. No customer relation skills at all. Communication is a key in such business. DO NOT OVERPROMISE as you fail to deliver what you say every time. It leads to more frustration. Please be accessible to your customers at least by mail or hire a secretary. Rather than get more and more orders and fail them, make sure that you deliver less but on time in full. They even came nice and early before I had to go to work. So far so good very impressed. After the service we ordered a new spa cover and were told a delivery time of 3-4 weeks. No problem we didn't really need the cover for a couple of months anyway. Now things went wrong. Firstly the new seals fitted to the spa pump leaked the same day they were fitted. It was pretty evident they were the wrong size. Thankfully we were still left with the old ones so we put them back in problem solved, just hassle. 3-4 weeks came and went. 2 months came and went no sign of the spa cover. All the time we had to constantly chase up but phone calls wouldn't get returned. Phone calls were ignored (I know this because I used a different phone and it was answered immediately). I had to go in to the store in person twice to challenge them a 20 mile round trip. They finally offered to lend one until the one we ordered arrived but even that didn't fit properly and was therefore next to useless given that the whole idea of a spa cover is to trap heat. When 3 months passed I called and asked for a refund and was refused (I paid up front with cash). Exasperated, I got on the phone to Trading Standards at this point I couldn't believe the service I was getting. and then it arrived. Well over 3 months from the date of order and well passed the deadline we needed it by for a garden party. Awful, awful service. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Along with the main store there is also the garden centre area which house many types of plants and gardening equipment. Then store has a very large car park and although the store does get busy with the large size of the store and car park it isn't that noticeable. For you DIY needs B&Q has to be a first choice with its variety and great prices.

A Really Useful Shop!…read more This is almost a hardware store, but it's not quite. Neither is it a discount store - indeed you can pay over the odds. But if you've looked everywhere else for something, then you may well find it there. We just got a wind up/solar (laugh out loud)radio. I've been looking for one for a while to use in the garden now and then. A hard brush for the patio, half the price of the hardware store, and a soap filled washing up brush for when there's not much to wash up. They also do a range of garden tools, kitchen ware, household cleaning and phones and batteries etc. Their returns policy is not the greatest. Once I bought a ceramic casserole dish there. I could not grip the lid when it was hot, as oven gloves, tea towels, would not grasp the sunk in handle. I took it back. They refused to take it saying no one else had brought them back. Yhey offered me a credit note which I grugingly agreed to, knowing the thing was not fit for purpose. The proprietor called over an assistant to put the thing on the shelf or office or whatsit, and the young man enquired what was wrong. I told him. He lifted the casserole and tried to lift the lid - it slid from his fingers to the floor with a smashing smash. I had the punchline -'I think that illustrates my point!'.
