SCAM ALERT! Took my Galaxy S23 Ultra with a cracked screen. They wanted $428 to fix screen. Told me all S23 screens come with a new battery and bezel. I said okay. When I picked up phone and paid, I noticed there was no new bezel. They said "Oh yeah, I forgot that they no longer send the bezel and battery so yeah, $428 for new screen. I took 12 3 volt batteries from my 3 exterior security cameras to see if they were good. I think I have problems with the css as metas and don't want to continually buy batteries if they aren't the problem. When the manager found out my option was to buy new batteries he asked how long they had been in the cameras. I told him I had put them in 2 months ago but wasn't sure the cameras were on. He told me batteries only last 2 months in security cameras. My neighbors get around 8 months with theirs. I felt he was just trying to get me to buy $40.00 worth of new batteries! read more

I went to batteries plus and ordered a key fob for a 2019 Ford. The fob came in about nine days later. I was told that I would need to come in between 10 and 3 Monday through Friday to have it programmed. I asked if I could make an appointment since I was going to have to miss work to make those times work for me. I arrive today at 2:20 PM and was told the employee that programs the fobs had just left. He was contacted by staff that was there. I was told I could go to the Brentwood location if I wanted to have this done and offered a lifetime five dollar battery. I asked for a refund since I had to pay for services in advance. My money was returned without question. I will never have a need to return to a batteries plus location again. read more

Tried to replace a 2021 Toyota highlander fob. They said they could get one and program it for the car and they would call us within a week, after 11 days went by we called they said that they had the fob and to just bring it in and it would take about 20 to program it. Went there and they had absolutely no idea in the world how to program it to the car. I mean nobody in the store or their IT department had a clue! They were very rude and just completely incompetent in every way on what they advertised as being their job. WOULD NEVER GO BACK TO THIS STORE OR EVER RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE. Bought a boat and mower battery, plus two 3.7 volt batteries for flashlights. Got home, the 3.7 volt batteries they give me were wrong size physically. Got one stuck in flashlight. Had to damage it to remove with pliers. Returned to store with the one good, but wrong battery. They give me money back for both, plus a 24 pack of AA batteries for my troubles. They were apologetic about giving me the wrong batteries. I was very happy with the way they handled it. Will use this store regularly for batteries and other needs. read more

Horrible experience with this location. My son dropped one of our phones off to have a battery installed and the screen came back cracked. We brought it to their attention and they started blaming my son. Keep in mind nothing was ever brought to our attention about a crack or documented before the repair. We were told the install would take 45 min,so after two hours called up there to see if phone was ready and was told yes but it has a cracked screen. Why would this not be brought up before any repairs and how in the world did the battery get replaced without the screen falling apart. Interesting.to say the least. They are basically calling son a liar over a cracked screen which I know personally was not there before this battery change out. If this is their way of doing business I would never recommend this company to any of my MJ friends and clients. read more

Staff in store replaced my son's non-functional touch screen in his iPhone. It failed within one day. We took it back and asked them to fix it. They said that this was impossible because of "water damage" and failed solder points, things that they had never mentioned before. They refused to refund my son's $90 because they had discarded his original screen. I have had several phones repaired here with good results but now I will take my business elsewhere. Not the way to treat a 16 year old kid who works very hard for his money. I guess the days of standing behind your results are long gone. read more

I drove my vehicle to this store to program a spare FOB key. Something went bad while they were working on it, and they were no longer able to start my car at all. The store manager informed me that my original FOB key was erased and due to an issue with my car they cannot program any FOB key. Finally he left me in the parking lot and informed me that Batteries & Bulbs bears no liability in case of any potential screw up. Luckily, I was finally able to get my car to start, but this could be a major setback, especially for someone who cannot get a ride, or someone unable to pay for towing and repairs. read more

My key fob battery was low so I ran in to grab a replacement. Was asked if I wanted the "lifetime battery". I asked what the price difference was and the guy just shook his head and said there's no difference. Lifetime battery -supposedly anytime the battery runs down I can take it to any batteries plus to be replaced at no further cost. He replaced it and it rang up close to almost $25. I asked how another batteries plus location would know if I had the lifetime deal. He said the battery is "marked". I paid, went to the car and called another location to ask the same question. They said it would be known because it would be under my name in the system. I said they didn't ask my name, phone number or anything. The guy said I need to go back in because that's not how it's supposed to be done. I took the battery out and it did have some numbers in sharpie. When I went back in I told them I think I just wanted a regular battery, not the lifetime one, (Its been so long since I'd bought one I doubt I would remember I had such a plan). I asked how much a regular battery was, he said I'd have to speak to the mgr who was standing at the next register. The manager said I would have to buy a whole pack of batteries, not just one. I double checked and said "I can't buy a single battery for my fob". No. This is NOT the case at the West Nashville store. There were perforated strips of flat round batteries hanging on the wall behind the registers that are made for individual sale. I'd just seen him rip one off for a man. I was unable to see if they had the size I needed.-CR1632. By the way - you can get ONE or for $5.49 at Target or Amazon, I just checked. The manager said the clerk WAS supposed to put my name & info in and offered to do so. Since I sensed b.s. about being unable to buy one battery I preferred not to do business there. I said I'd rather return the lifetime battery but needed my old battery back so my key would work. They did give me a refund and let me keep the new battery. I'll just stick with Target or Amazon next time. Thought this was going to be more convenient since I was already at that strip mall. Nope. read more

Went to the Batteries Plus in My Juliet, TN to buy a Duracell H6 auto battery...already knew what I wanted. The salesperson was a younger taller white male, long hair in a ponytail and when I asked for the battery I wanted he asked if my car had electronics and proceeded to tell I needed a more expensive AGM battery. I told him I wasn't interested, I just wanted the one I asked for. He then told me I didn't need it that one because it wouldn't last. At this point I just wanted to buy the battery I came for. I told him the battery I had had lasted for 6 years and was like the one I wanted and that I would be trading the car in 1-2 years. He said that I'd be replacing the new battery a couple of times...I didn't know Batteries Plus sold such crappy batteries. I understand 'upselling', but to keep criticizing my choice, which is a top rated battery, was really TERRIBLE customer service. Finally I told him fine I wouldn't buy it and would go elsewhere where they would sell me what I wanted. This guy was RUDE and ARROGANT. This store sets a new standard for lack of customer service. I have tried calling the store manager but he evidently refuses to return my call. I have a business account (or rather HAD) at the store for purchases. Now I will be looking for a new supplier. I can only urge everyone to use caution at this store because they will try to intimidate you into buying and spending more than you need. read more

I really appreciate the customer service and honesty. I went in to have my truck key battery replaced. The sales rep kindly went over the options of the time payment and a life time warranty plan. Sales rep took my key to the back to replace and notice that I already purchase the life time warranty from a previous purchase. I was not aware but if it wasn't for the honesty of both employees I could have easily paid for something that I already bought. read more

I was told AFTER they replaced the iPhone screen that my frame was bent and they tried bending it back. Screen cracked again in the specified location within 2 weeks. After speaking with customer care, they agreed to replace the screen without a warranty. I appreciate that they were willing to help, but if they had bothered to mention the bent frame BEFORE working on the phone, I would have taken it to Apple and had the phone replaced for $50 more with AppleCare. read more

I damaged my phone port the day before a business trip and visited this store 7/15/18. I asked the older gentleman in the store if my best bet was having the port replaced or purchasing a new battery and battery charger. He suggested the replacement battery and rushed me to checkout, I was the only customer in the store, so he could have spent a few minutes with me about my options. The battery was loose in a package with no shrink wrap or other protection, but like an idiot I made the purchase. I took the battery home and charged it for 1 hour. The wall charger said it was fully charged, but when I placed in my phone it only registered 80%, then it gradually went down in battery power about 1% every three minutes until it was dead again, so I repeated the charge and tried again, same thing. The sore was closed by this time and my flight left at 6am the next day so I took the battery, charger and phone with me but never got the battery to accept a charge. I ended up having to purchase a new phone while out of town. I took the battery and charger back to the Batteries Plus in Madison, TN and after looking at the battery the guy there said it was swollen and looked to be about 6 months old. He looked at me like I was trying to pull one over on them but I assured him this was how it was purchased. So, one of two things happened: The Mt Juliet store places returned goods to the shelf without inspecting them OR a customer slipped a new battery out of the package and replaced with their battery, the packaging was not very secure on either item I bought. The moral of this story is that this store does not seem to value their customers, products or quality of services provided. The store I returned the product to seemed to insinuate that I was pulling a fast one on them and that was not appreciated either. I would not recommend any location of Batteries Plus as their products cannot be trusted and their sales team not very kind. read more

Excuse me for interrupting your video game, we have always had fantastic service at our old home town store in Valparaiso, then we found the Batteries plus in Hendersonville, again awesome customer service. So today we need a new recharger for my flashlight so we decide to go to the store near our home huge mistake. I asked about the charger I needed for my surfire, his response we only cell phone chargers, me ah you sell rechargeable flash lights right there. Shouldn't have gotten my phone fixed here. As soon as I turned the phone on after getting fixed, there were white spots left on my screen and top left corner randomly turns dark. And a crack randomly appeared on the screen. Didn't drop it or anything and this is within several days of getting it fixed. I brought the phone to get it checked out and manager said she couldn't do anything to help because there was supposedly a "bend" in my phone. My boyfriend got his phone fixed from there and had the same issue. Then took his phone to another company and they said there was no bend and fixed his phone for a cheaper price. I walk into the M. J. Battery and bulbs on Tuesday 1-8-19 to see about getting a key fob for my wife's car . I was told they would need to order the fob and schedule an appointment to have it programmed. I ask if I could make an appointment for the next day at 7: pm . I was told no because they needed two workers at the store and they only have one employee at that time . But the guy said if I come in on Thursday at 7: pm they will be Abel to get it done . Thursday I called at 5:30 pm to confirm because I had not heard from them . The worker that answered the phone was very short and acted like I was bothering Him . He snapped that He can't be programming a key fob cause he's the only one there . I said I wanted to talk to a manger , he said you can't He's gone for the day . I asked can you at least check and see if the fob was there . He left me on hold then came back and said nope it's not here . This mad me very angry because they sure did take my $235.00 dollars fast enough. And all I got was attitude. Never again . read more
