The worst company I have ever dealt with On the 29th of July I ordered online a replacement battery for a hedge cutter. When ordering their website gave the impression that it was available. The company was selling under the name 'batterytrader' but then replies to my complaint came from Silverburn Ltd. On the 13th August I cancelled the order and obtained one the next day via Amazon. I had assumed that no payment had been taken from my card as the item hadn't been supplied and was out of stock. I checked my account and was surprised to see that they had registered the transaction on the day of the order & debited my card £54. When I first contacted them they stated that refunds are auctioned 10 days from date of cancellation. They then emailed to advise me that it can take up to 30 working days! That means I have to wait 57 days for a refund which I consider to be an indication of a very doggy company. As of the 23rd Sept. I am still waiting. read more

Second time I have used them in the last few months First order came fragmented with part of the order received within a couple of days and the rest a week or so later, i was kept reasonably informed of the delay and was not bothered about it. The batteries from the first order work well and have no complaints. The next order was over Christmas, i received it in the first week of new Year so again not a real problem with delivery as i am sure everyone is entitled to a holiday at Christmas. Have not had the time period to test the new batteries, but they seem fine, and the AA Duracell's i also received were very competitive when compared to Tesco. read more

We found the website on Google and ordered two batteries for our golf trollies, to be honest i just ordered the first ones on the site and did not read the write up. After my initial disappointment in my self I contacted Battery Trader with the sizes and ordered the correct ones and organised to return the wrong ones. From start to finish and can say i was more than happy with the service i received which could have been a nightmare but they made easy for me, I hopefully will not need new batteries for some time but i would be happy to use them again in the future. read more

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SITE! I placed an order on 30 July as the site said the item was in stock. Despite chasing the order on numerous occasions, I was always given some excuse for non-delivery. Naturally, they took my money when I ordered! By the end of November I gave up and cancelled my order but I am still waiting for a refund! I, too, will be contacting Trading Standards. read more

Website is badly designed and will take your money regardless of if item is in stock or not. I tried a number of times but was unable to get a reply to the phone number listed on the website. Havering Trading standards helped me get a refund after 17 days. read more

Ordered £300 worth of device batteries, 30/11/2012. No sign of delivery as of 10/1/2013. No response to past 2 requests for repayment. Batterytrader is definitely a business (and I use that term very loosely) to avoid at all costs. read more
