We were taken out for about 2.5 hours with another group (so 10 people in all, 2 instructors). Despite it being mid-October, the provided wetsuits and protective equipment really kept us warm and the cold Pembrokeshire air was not an issue. The activity started with a safety brief, and the we went straight out onto the rocks where we gradually progressed through a series of jumps, funnels, and slides which got gradually harder. This all culminated in jumping off of a man made wall into the Blue Lagoon - a deep ocean blue bay. All whilst seals frolicked and basked round us. We were 5 guys in our mid-20s, but they accommodate for all ages. Apparently even taking out a 76 year old. Highly recommended.

But we wanted to do all of it, despite it seeming a bit scary at first. Two boys with us, 11 and 9, and the oldest said "it's the best thing I've done in my life!" I have to agree that it was amazing. Gorgeous scenery, crystal clear water and everyone in super good spirits. Highly recommend for kids and it was great fun for moms and dads, too. Not to be missed. Take extra money with you for the ice creams truck that parks right where you begin and end.

Of my entire trip, I still rush to show everyone the pictures of this place before anything else. Some of the sites here are look like the pictures you see as those default Windows desktop wallpapers! This place is great for anyone with a sense of adventure and lots of energy! I'm a fat dude that never exercises but managed to get through the 7 mile hike, several mile Kayak tour then 5 hour long coasteering adventure! The views and energy level of the staff make you forget how exhausted you are! To top it all off the lodging is actually quite nice and cozy. The food is absolutely AMAZING - very hardy and rich. Find time to hit this place up for a lifetime of memories!

There are a few activities to choose from, but my mates and I did the coasteering, kayaking and hiking. Our 4 mile scenic hiking excursion took place along the coast, on cliffs overlooking the Atlantic ocean. Although it was a tad cold, given that it was windy and the end of October, the scenery was breathtaking and a nice change from the hustle and bustle of the city. The map they give you leads you to this amazing pebble beach at the end of the hike from where you depart back to the lodge. The coasteering was supposed to include cliff diving or jumping but due to the rough conditions in the water we were only allowed to scale the large boulders while spending a minimal amount of time in the water. Although we were provided with wet suits the temperature of the water, 10ºC / 50ºF, still felt quite cold. The final activity, the kayaking, was pretty self explanatory, and while fun, the least interesting to me, since I've done it in more exotic places before. You take off from a small beach and you basically paddle around for a short while, there's also these miniscule "rapids" near the boulders that you can paddle through if you wish. The food served at the lodge, was quite good, all homemade. From what I remember there was a really nice curry and a really nice soup that the lady cooking made for our group.

This place is so full of good times and memory that it's a little obscene…read more The expanse of this place always surprises me, as it's fairly tucked away (although very well signposted), and not all that well known, compared to Drayton Manor and Alton Towers. But this is an equally good day out, I would argue. There is a good selection of thrill-seeking rides, such as Megaphobia (mentioned by the lovely Yee Gan), Vertigo and Bounce. But for those of use, myself included, who would rather eat a live cobra, there are plenty of less strenuous activities to chose from. A series of water slides is great fun - although perhaps favourable in warm weather. My personal favourite is Treetops, a mini roller coaster through the trees, like a really exciting walk through the country. This is a fantastic place to bring kids of all ages, and adults, I promise, will most certainly not go wanting.

Well, among UK coaster enthusiasts, there's just one word to explain this - Megafobia. It's an awesome wooden roller coaster that delivers on speed, drops, and airtime all the way round the ride. Many have rated it their favourite ride in the UK. I have a soft spot for woodies and it may well be my favourite woodie in the UK though as few woodies at Blackpool Pleasure Beach may run it close. There are 2 other big rides in the park. The newest ride is Speed, a steel coaster which was the first in the UK to have a greater than 90 degree first drop. To be honest, being greater than 90 degrees doesn't really add anything much but it does have 2 great pops of airtime along the ride. The other big ride is Hydro, a water ride which unfortunately drew headlines for the wrong reasons when a girl died a few years ago when she fell out of the ride 100 feet up. It's a water flume ride with a crazy drop and don't forget to stand on the splash bridge. The rest of the park is pretty basic with Bobsleigh the only other ride of note. It's the only bobsleigh ride of its kind I know where riders ride on little sleds along a metal bobsleigh course. One price gets you into the park and onto all rides except for Vertigo, the skydiver experience. For an airtime junkie like me, Megafobia is awesome but it is a long way to come.

Plenty of play areas and food vending stalls. Outdoor picnic area and good toilet facilities. Outdoor Go-kart on track. Tractor ride with seated carriages takes you on a short tour of the grounds. Prepare to do a lot of walking especially if you have smaller children with you. Indoor activities, animals and rides also onsite which is handy with unpredictable Welsh weather. Teenagers reasonably interested. Gift shop at entrance is comprehensive and sells items for all ages and prices.

We spent a whole day here and there was so much to do. There's also activities if the weather isn't too good. There's plenty of different things to do like fossil hunts, puppet shows, Dino trail, pat a pet, adventure playgrounds, a maze, a huge bumpy slide as well as 'optional extras' such as rides and games. Theres also a cafe and a place where you can sit outside with a cuppa while the children explore the playgrounds. The cafe is reasonably priced and service is lovely. All staff we came across were friendly and helpful. Its informative for the children and fun for the whole family.

This site was been turned into a haven for wildlife and birdlife in 2006. It's now a lovely place…read moreto walk and accessible to all, with broad paths for walkers and cyclists, leading from the town of Kidwelly to the estuary along the river. This tarmaced path is part of the Sustrans cycle route which travels throughout Wales. We walked along here yesterday for the first time and it is definitely somewhere where we will return. There's a large, free, car park just off the main road near the start of the trail.
