Window World of Evansville are absolutely miserable to work with. We ordered a door on 5/25 with a…read moresalesman named Greg. He was quick with us. I described the door I wanted to him and what color I wanted to match my windows. He "knew exactly what I needed" and wrote everything down. We were not shown swatches or any colors. I trusted him to get it right. On 6/22 they finally came out to put our new door in. I was super excited and hopeful. On the inside it looked great. I went outside to look at the new door and it was 4 different shades of brownish purple and none of those colors were what we requested. I took multiple pictures and sent them to window worlds email and they wrote me back that the salesman made a "human error" and the color was indeed wrong but they would correct it. While waiting on the SECOND door to come in we were sitting at the table one night and a piece of the door came off and hit my son in the head. I called and spoke to Brandon at Window World and he sent the same technician out to fix the door. The tech came out and stated he'd never seen a door do this before and screwed and glued the piece back on. Again we wait for the new door and on 9/21 the second door was installed. It was indeed the right color. (NEARLY 4 months of waiting to get the correct door). On 9/24 I opened the screen door. When I went to close the screen on the door again it wouldn't budge. You guessed it. The SECOND "award winning" door has broken. We also noticed that the flooring in my kitchen has been bubbled up approximately 7-10 feet in my kitchen which is a tripping hazard for me and my children. On 9/25 and approximately 13 times after that I have called Window World of Evansville seeking attention from a manager. I have emailed them twice in this period of time. The first email got absolutely no response. When I received the response from the second email it was from Joe Bush the owner of Window World. He told me that legal action will be placed on me and a lien on my property because I haven't paid my remaining balance yet. He was very demeaning, wouldn't let me speak once I called him on the phone, he talked over me and even said I am "avoiding him!!!!!" GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE I have spent LOTS of money with this company. They resided my home and now put in this door. To be treated as if I'm AVOIDING Joe is discraseful. I have gotten one letter from them and one message from Brandon when I was at the school dealing with one of my children. When I left the school I called right back to speak to him with no result. Right now I feel as if this company does NOT care about their customers or their customer base at all. Joe was very rude and even stated "I've seen this tactic before" again threatening his lawyers on me. What about my damages Joe? What about my flooring your tech damaged or the door that STILL is broken????!!! Joe said he would take care of whatever I needed if I just would pay the $1000.... how do I even know you will take care of it? This company is full of manipulation and dissatisfaction. I fell for it and I will say I am…read morenot at all happy with the quality of the replacement windows for the following reasons: 1) The screens on the windows for my sunroom are so loose they literally flop in the wind. I have contacted the company multiple (at least 5 times) since the installation in November 2022 and have not received ANY return calls, let alone resolution. They tell me they'll call back, but have not. 2) The windows taken out were insulated and taped to assist in insulation. The window replacements had NO insulation and were not taped. The very small fine print does say "no insulation" is included with the installation, so my fault for believing the owner/sales person this would be included. 3) NONE of the paperwork other than the work order were supplied to me either at the time of signing the contract (the owner/sales person was supposed to send them to me after he got back to the office to make copies - never received them - no explanation). 4) Related to 3 above - it is questionable that the discounts that were supposed to be applied to my windows were applied. For $13,000, I got nine single pane windows and a whole lot of hassle. I had to plug the holes in the new window frames myself. The holes are necessary with replacement windows, but I would have assumed the installers would cover the 4 half-inch holes in each of the windows. Nope - cold air was literally just gussing in. The sound insulation is way worse than the windows I had replaced. I'd asked before purchasing for double-pane but was told these replacement windows would perform BETTER than double-pane....they don't. The ONE absolutely good thing was that the lead installer came out on a weekend and insulated the windows in pretty cold weather to make me happy. I definitely would NOT recommend this company. The sales pitch is very misleading; the installation was good except for the lack of insulation/taping; the follow up on problems is non-existent; and the fact that you aren't given paperwork to show what you paid for and how much (other than the work order) is a deal-breaker. Don't pay this company until you are sure you have everything covered you want. Once they get your money, you'll not see them or hear from them again. Added Note: They WILL (supposedly) give you a discount if you leave a good review for them on Yelp. I'm not even sure they did that.
