Well organized - all the exhibits are in a linear circuit with the Group of Seven landscape paintings near the beginning - grouped by painting location. Lots of native art - especially on the second floor. Make time to walk around the grounds whether it's a short hike to the cemetery and sculpture garden or a more extensive jaunt around the Humber River behind the museum. Parking is current seven dollars. Every third Sunday is free. This museum will Be shutting down for 2-3 years for renovation later this year...

There is a mandatory bag check (around $4) even if the bag is small. So don't bring any bags or backpacks if you want to avoid the fee. Free tours are offered by volunteers, check at the front desk. The collection is huge so be prepared to spend the entire evening to thoroughly enjoy the visit.

I didn't catch her name but she helped me get an estimate for what the delivery fee would be and I had the option to take 2 chairs home and come pick up the rest another day. Part 2 of my pick up, she recognized me and helped me take the dining table out of its box so I can fit it in my car and carry it out easier. She carried all the way outside of the store. She's petite and I wasn't expecting her to help me right out the door and she did! I can't say the same happens at other stores even if it's someone taller stronger, they may not help carry out something so willingly. Thanks for the great shopping experience!

During my move, I worked close to their old location on Ossington, and drew so much inspiration from their aesthetic during my lunch breaks. I bought everything from mirrors to picture frames to dishes to adorable trinkets to bath towels. I even painted my new bedroom the exact same Benjamin Moore green that they had in their storefront window. The space of their newer location on Dundas is wonderful (aka much more room for cute things). Highly recommend. Everyone is always friendly and helpful as well.

The shop itself showcases so many beautiful ceramics! There is super limited seating (2 two-seaters and counter) so you will see a lot of people standing and walking around to check out all the pieces and furniture around the shop. Admission by Donations and they usually share similar programme and exhibits as the bigger location down the other location down at Gairloch Gardens. I can only comment on the most recent exhibition "After My Own Heart". The area is quite small and the exhibit does have a shocking impact on me.... Not for the faint of heart or kids... Since the "art" that on exhibition changes every 2 months or so. May worth your while to check in occasionally especially if you are visiting the library.

The beautifully executed minimalist aesthetic of the store is so welcoming, with contemporary art lining the walls, and lifestyle goods, jewelry, skin care products and unique craft items live amongst the space. Souvenir carries great local brands such as Mary Young, Akai Ceramic Studio, Cadette, Woodlot and Wildcraft Care, to name a few (also a perfect place to buy gifts for a loved one)! Owner Danielle Suppa told me as I was there that she loves when people come into the store just to hang out, and I'm so looking forward to coming back!
