Unfortunately she sold the practice to a new physician who has no respect for Jennifer's old patients. I have now received three Robo calls from this practice. After two Robo calls, I asked them to take me off of the list of former patients. Didn't matter they called me again. While Jennifer's practice was exemplified by her caring and personal touch. The new physician demonstrates exactly the opposite attitude. There is nothing personal about an unsolicited Robo call. particularly when the practice has been asked to remove me from their list. They are setting themselves up for abject failure.

She ALWAYS took the time to listen and work with me--and my family. After a while she and her family had to leave the area. She sold the practice to a new physician who was to take over her patients and care for them the way she cared for us. Unfortunately, this new doctor was far from being what Jen agreed to. She was rude and had absolutely NO regards to the established patients. I also found that she lied to Jen and her whole staff--firing every one of them without prior notice. The office kept calling me to reschedule my appointments. I kept telling her NO. Finally, some lady called to again reschedule but this time I told her off. I said it was not anything against her personally, but due to the lying the new doctor did to Jen and her staff, there was NO WAY I would even THINK about allowing this new doctor to have anything to do with me and my family. I went back to Calvert Internal Medicine Group. I was told that many of Jen's patients returned to them, also. Now my whole family has returned to Calvert.

But since I was persistent one of them put me on 20 minutes hold to think about my behavior. And then - believe or not, but some Associate , as I later learn her name was Katlyn, started talking to me and was so nice and empathetic and apologetic, that I almost had tears in my eyes, thinking how nice that we still have Associates in the most difficult area - medicine - like Katlyn.

They tell me a week prior that they called & someone confirmed the appointment time change. Mind you, I take care of all appointments & did not receive a phone call at all. So I ask the receptionist who she spoke with, she can't give me a name or anything. I ask to speak with the office manager, I tell the office manager my dilemma, she repeats saying they spoke with someone a week prior to confirm the appointment & reads back a phone number that isn't mine, a phone number that we haven't used in over 12 years & there's no way I ever wrote that phone number down for any of the new patient paperwork because that number was my father's that he got rid of like I said, over 12 years ago, so I have NO IDEA who they spoke to, to confirm my son's appointment because it wasn't me, his mother, nor his father. So now a STRANGER has my son's first & last name & the date & time of where he's going to be. The office manager keeps telling me that someone confirmed it, but couldn't tell me who. I'm standing there telling her that you spoke to a stranger about my son's personal information. All they could say was the appointment has been pushed back & I could keep it if I would like to. I don't care about the appointment, I care about the fact that this office has breached the safety of my child & his protected information. I asked the office manager for someone higher than her, she decides to give me the wrong number so I had to Google who oversees the facilities to call & make a complaint. I have escalated this issue as high as I could possibly take it. They need to fire everyone in that office because it's nothing, but the most incompetent people that don't understand HIPAA compliance. As someone who also works in healthcare, I'm disgusted with the way the office handled that situation. Luckily, I was able to get my children out of there & somewhere that actually cares about their safety. & what's even worse is that I have had so many people tell me like experiences. Awful, just awful.

The doctors are fine when you see them, but their office staff is another story altogether. Avoid at all costs, especially if you value timely turnaround and good bedside manner, this place lacks both!
