This is moi fave Indian Restaurant in the Tampa area. They make Authentic Punjabi here. They are also the only place I have found that makes the family size Biryani. They also make a shrimp & a fish Biryani here. The garlic naan is the best I have ever had in my life as is the Lamb Saag. It's truly Authentic Pubjabi. They also have a buffet here every day from 11:30 to 2:30 and they also have one on the weekends & are open till 11pm on Saturday OuiOui. The menu is vast, and we have been hitting it hard. Some of our take out dishes were just ok, but most we have tried are 2.DIE.4. The good thing is they will alter the spice level for you so mostly everything we have tried we would order again with a different spice level in the future. We have mostly been getting take out but now that I pretty much know what I want, Im eating it dine in now, so I can get some photos posted of these amazing Authentic Punjabi dishes. I really like the lovely little table by the window with the views of the lake... They even have fresh coconuts here. They chopped one & brought it to me with a straw. My fave. I NEVER thought my partner would ever eat Indian food again. To him, it's okay, and I love it. He was in the plaza earlier in the day and noticed the restaurant. I have wanted to go there for the last year. After an afternoon of shopping in the area, he mentioned he would like to try Indian food again. I was more than good with it. We pulled into the shopping plaza to an unassuming restaurant. The plaza has an Outback and Love's Coffee. Love's is execptional in coffee and tasty foods; Outback is a typical chain. This one is better than most. We arrived after shopping and walked into a restaurant with only one table seated. I must say it was Jan 2. Note: upon leaving, Outback wasn't packed based on the parking lot as we left, and this Outback is always packed. We enter the restaurant with a strong aroma of Indian spices. I did notice a sign by the door to franchise. I'm NOT into reviewing franchised restaurants, but I would bite my tongue and review. We were seated immediately and offered drinks. We both ordered water and I made my way to the bathroom to wash my hands. I returned to see 2 bottled waters from Sam's Club. Indian food has a bite and I knew I would need more than a bottle of water. Our order was taken, Fish 65, Lamb Vindaloo, Lentil Soup and Garlic Naan. I saw an episode of triple D where Lamb Vindaloo was made and I had to try it. The Lentil Soup came out for us to share. He didn't like it at first as he is use to Greek Lentil Soup and not the spice it had. I loved it!! As we slurped it, he grew to love it. The meal then came out, he ordered the Fish 65 and I ordered the Lamb and Naan. Both meals were amazing. The lamb, so soft you could cut with a fork, the sauce had a perfect spice. I ordered medium. The rice was perfectly cooked. My partner loved his fish, so much that he said he would come back, and he is the pickiest of eaters. I tried his entree and the sauce was amazing, I thought it was better than the Lamb Vindaloo sauce. I had two downfalls. Bottled water! When eating anywhere in the US, I like a glass that is filled that I shouldn't have to pay for! . But more importantly, I disliked the guy behind me, who I am guessing works there, on his phone, on speaker, carrying on with multiple conversations. I don't need to hear about your bidness. I have been here twice. The first time I dined in and the second time I took the food out. I don't think this place knows how to be a restaurant. There was a language barrier but there was also an apparent comfort barrier. It was very difficult for me to explain I wanted to see a menu to order food. It was most difficult the second time around when I wanted takeout. I noticed a large Indian clientele which made me wonder if I possibly didn't belong there. Our experience at Bawarchi was delightful! We had a party of 11, including three kids. We called in while on our way to see if they could accommodate our group without problem and the gentleman on the phone reassured us that there'd be no problem: "come on over!" They setup tables together for our group, Joseph took care of us for the entire meal, with other staff assisting. The place had a nice vibe to it, everyone very friendly. The food... wow. My fiancée and I have eaten at several Indian restaurants because we love the cuisine. This is competing so far for the #1 spot. In Tampa Bay, the best one so far. We ordered all kinds of dishes, from Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Masala, and some delicious spicy shrimp, to tandoori mixed grill which brings an assortment of some of the most delicious meats I've tasted in Indian cuisine. The chicken noodles were absolutely delicious. The season rice that accompanied several dishes was so good! And the naan bread is always a hit! Also would like to mention what is perhaps my favorite appetizer of any cuisine... the vegetable samosas. These have to be the best I've tasted so far . All of the food was brought out surprisingly fast, tasted fresh, and was presented beautifully when served. Our experience here was wonderful. I very much enjoyed my dinner from Bawarchi Biryani's! Today was a long day so it turned out to be an Uber Eats kind of night for us. Luckily, I stumbled across this gem of a restaurant who was offering BOGO entrees and BOGO Naan! Even with the added charges from Uber, I could not resist such a deal! I placed an order for two Butter Chicken entrees ($19.99) and two Garlic Naan ($4.55) as well a side of Raita ($1.75) and eagerly waited for my driver to deliver the Indian delights. An hour later, I had my food, still piping hot, and began to assemble a plate to share with my fellow Yelpers! The smell of the food alone made me cave while serving so of course I had a few bites and licks in between serving my kids. Once it was my turn to fully indulge, my expectations were more than exceeded, especially at the price I paid! The naan had plenty of garlic, was a large serving size and had a slight crunch while being oh so very soft. The Butter Chicken packed a punch of flavor, the chicken was extremely tender and while I prefer to choose my spice level, the one and only option they had a strong enough bite, even though mild, to satisfy my cravings. The rice was rice, can't really go wrong with it when smothered with curry although never say never. This was my first time having Raita sauce so I cannot compare it to other places but I do know, I will order this sauce at every single Indian restaurant I go to from now on! The sauce itself was pretty soupy but nonetheless delicious and offered a refreshing cooldown to combat the spice of the curry. Overall, this place offers delicious, affordable Indian food which is hard to find if you're on a budget. I've tried multiple Indian restaurants throughout the years, in and outside the area. Some I haven't thought of returning to, but I will definitely be back here. I love spice, special hot spicy; this place definitely made it happen when I requested it. I will just say that on Saturday night tonight the service was not too good, there were only 3 people in the whole restaurant with one waitress and she still took way to long to even bring our drinks, We also had to wait too long for just the naam we ordered and she never follow up on us. We tip her well, considering that she really did not deserve the 25% she got, but we usually tip more if the service is outstanding. Perhaps our waitress will remember that. But the food is good, thank you for the cook that brought it out to us. We will like to drive from south Tampa, Westshore basically, t if we can get better service the next time. This place is a hidden gem!!!!! I was craving Indian cuisine and my friend suggested it. It's located inside a plaza so I really didn't have hopes for it as long as the food was good! But to my surprise, the inside was so beautifully set up and the view of the preserve was stunning. The menu has a huge variety to pick from and our server Joseph made some great recommendations. He was very helpful and provided us excellent service. The food was DELICIOUS, a 10/10 hands down. The spices and flavors were spot on and everything was made fresh to order. For dinner on sunday night we decided to order Chicken Mughlai, Dal Makhani, Rice and Naan. We ordered online using Bawarchi Biryani's website. Our order got ready in 20 minutes. The food was okay and nothing special about it. There was no salt in any of the food items. I am curious to know whether the salt was finished in the restaurant or you guys forgot to put salt in our food or you guys dont use salt for the food. Dal Makhani: Dal Mikhani was okay and beans in Dal Makhani was not cooked. Chicken Mughlai: For chicken mughlai we mentioned on website that it should be maximum spicy. I ordered the Bawarchi special boneless chicken biryani family pack and it was amazing. They give plenty pieces of chicken, which normally is not the case when it comes to biryanis. The chicken was cooked well and you can cut it even with plastic utensils. I also ordered the chicken saag for my father which was not on the menu, however they told me there are no issues in them making it for us. read more

Daal Kachodi was great/ lamb biryani was definitely the highlight just like the name of the restaurant. First experience here and also eating Indian food. To my surprise everything was delicious. Very tasty and cooked perfectly. The butter chicken was different but I enjoyed it so much. The chicken 555 yes I'll have that again. I mean everything came out hot and fresh. What made the food even better was the how wonderful the staff was. Great hospitality!!! Located in a Brandon shopping strip with several restaurants. It is easy to find and park. We went at lunch time and were excited to learn they have a lunch buffet at a reasonable price so we could sample a variety of items as this was our first visit. Several meat and veggie entrees as options. The tandoori chicken was tender and flavorful. The butter chicken was mildly spiced and delicious for anyone that is hesitant about spicy food. The buffet is not huge but has a good variety of foods. Bottled water is served on every table and the waitress brought a large basket of fresh naan bread to the table to go with our lunch. We will absolutely be back for another meal when we return to Brandon. read more

Vegan/vegetarian review: I've ordered from here at least a dozen times now, always via Uber Eats or DoorDash. Likes: Vegetable Korma (curry)- Amazing, most of the time. My only complaint is that sometimes it's VERY spicy and other times, not so spicy at all. Would rather you guys kept it from being spicy so that everyone can enjoy it. There have been a couple times it has been too spicy for me to eat at all, and I had to give away my food. I usually like things with a bit of spice, but that was way too much. It comes with white rice which makes for a good portion. Karivepaku Veg Dumplings- Love. Not spicy, but drowned in spices. They are described as having "lots of aromatic roasted curry leaves, spice blend, herbs and cilantro." When they say "lots of," they mean it. If you're someone who likes "lots of" spices, you'll love this. If not, you probably still will if you scrape some of them off. They're all on the outsides of the dumplings. Manchurian Gobi- Great. It kind of reminds me of General Tso's chicken but with cauliflower instead of chicken, good portion. Okay: Puri Bhaji- Good but VERY small portion, was about 1/3 the size of the dishes that are the same price. Certainly not enough to be a meal. It comes with a few pieces of a large, flat kind of bread that is amazing! This dish also has the issue of sometimes arriving very spicy and other times not spicy at all. I suggest the same as I did with the Korma, which is to keep this dish from being made to be spicy. Samosas- Okay, but I have frozen ones that I eat as snacks at home, which I like more. 555, Veg Balls- Decent, very spicy, good portion. Did Not Like: Lentil Soup- Absolutely tasteless. I decided to try ethos restaurant out after seeing it in the same strip mall as another store I go to. The gentleman inside helped us with choosing our meals and were very helpful and polite. The interior of the restaurant was clean however needed some dusting/sweeping in the corners. We took our food to go. I ordered cheese masala with na'an bread. I enjoyed it but I thought my cheese chunks were too hard/firm. My mother had a chicken meal with fragrant flavored rice. The rice and chicken were too dry, unfortunately. Man do I love Indian food! This place hooked me up during times when I didn't have time to cook. The flavors are phenomenal! For those of you too sensitive to spices, they also have mild options. I usually go for a medium level heat which is perfect for me. My favorite is the gobi Manchurian (chicken fried cauliflower with Manchurian sauce) and naan. My second favorite is any of their fish. It's so good! I also make sure that all my dishes come with lime/lemon and raw red onions which are excellent and compliments to most Indian food. The mango lassi is usually my go to for dessert after dinner. This is one of three of my go to places for Indian food in the brandon area. So tasty! Had a great take out dinner here last week. Everything was delicious. Paneer Biryani was so flavorful, fragrant and tangy, it had lots of paneer cheese. The portion was very generous and this lasted me for days. The Vegetable Samosa was also very good, you wil get 2 large, crunchy, full of great tasting potatoes and curry samosas. Way too expensive. We were hungry for an Indian buffet and usually go to Curry Mango. Wanted to try something different. So we came here walked in the door and we're greeted with a paper plate and plastic forks and napkins and told to sit anywhere. The food was OK, not the best Indian food I've ever had but certainly not the worst. However, for $20 a person for a lunch buffet, extremely overpriced, especially since they're not hiring people to clear tables or wash dishes. I recommend curry mango. read more

SO; my old roommate/friend always ordered from here and made me try MANY menu items. But today, I just want to talk about my favorite go-to order: Chana Masala (mild), Butter Garlic Naan and Mango Lassi. Although spicy food isn't my thing (a lot of Indian cuisine is), this go-to meal definitely grew on me and I crave it at least once a month now. The Chana Masala, I always get mild. It's the perfect amount of spice and gives a little kick at the end of every bite! The chickpea is cooked PERFECTLY; every. single. time! Not too hard, not too mushy & pairs perfectly with the butter garlic naan. Naan I'm a little more familiar with. But what sets them apart from others I've had? They make sure every bite has that buttery, freshly minced garlic seasoning with hints of cilantro to lighten up the spice a little. I usually put the Chana Masala on one side of the naan and eat it like a taco! And last but most certainly NOT least, the Mango Lassi. The BEST way I can describe the flavor is; if milking a mango were possible, it would produce mango lassi! It's fruity, milky, smooth and the perfect drink to cool down that spice! This place is a gem for great Indian food as well as several options of Indian-Asian fusion. Had chicken tikka, paneer, raita, rice, and garlic nan. The sauces and general spices were very fresh. You can really taste the difference. If we weren't so stuffed, would have ordered a mango lassi that saw people drinking and enjoying next to us. We eat a lot of Indian food and can say that this is one of the best we've ever had. The inside is very simple in decorations and no liquor/beer on menu. Portion sizes are very generous. If you live close by (lucky!) I'd suggest it as a great place for takeout..if you want adult beverages to accompany your food.
