Every single time I've called them, nobody who is actually in Bay Roberts answers. I'm always patched through to St. John's or Harbour Grace and I'm told that someone from the Bay Roberts detatchment will return my call as soon as possible. Nobody ever returns my call. I made sure that I stressed the importance of the reason for my call, so I would be sure to get a call back. Still, nobody called. I called 3 times and ended up having to risk my own physical safety to find a solution to my problem without the help of police. Luckily, I was able to dodge the person that I was afraid was going to hurt me again, but no police report of the original incident was filed because I gave up on the idea of ever hearing from someone. In talking to people, this seems to be the norm around here. Perhaps they are understaffed? Or maybe just some more training for our local police force is in order? "Protect and Serve" right? Apparently not in Bay Roberts. read more
