    Great curry!

Oh yeah!!! I'm a believer now of this one. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great lunch deals and the dining room is well appointed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service is efficient and friendly and the view is definitely the bay!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]You can have a peaceful meal here for a good prices and the food view and service are excellent![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My mom had the red curry and i had green. The curry has fresh vegetables including eggplant and it's cooked very well. Lots of flavor!!! Rice was the right consistency and the spring rolls were fresh and light, no feeling of old oil or any of that. I'm coming back 100%. This is my go to Thai for now! I can't wait to try the tom yum.

Wow. Stumbled upon this cute Thai restaurant while staying in downtown Depoe Bay. It had great reviews so decided to give it a try. Oh my goodness... the beef pad see ewe was so good. It had a savory char and was perfectly cooked with noodles and broccoli . Also got the panang chicken curry that came with a small side of rice. . The curry was perfectly cooked and flavorful with plenty of chicken and veggies.

I've been wanting to come here for years, and this week the stars finally aligned. It was a cool, drizzly Monday night. Late winter before Spring Break. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were warmly welcomed and quickly seated at a table with a view of Depoe Bay.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The owners were very attentive and quickly took our orders. They were very accommodating to my wife's gluten free needs, even making all our orders GF so she could dip into our plates. The food came quickly and both looked and tasted great. My wife and daughter even picked out a few items from the "shop"at the front of the restaurant. I'm glad we stopped here. We will make it a targeted stop in the future.

Tried Bay Thai Kitchen and it was such a sweet little spot! The food was excellent--full of flavor, fresh, and served nice and hot. The service was wonderful too; they kept my water glass full the whole time. I had the pad see ew with tofu and was happy to find they really understand what vegan means, with lots of vegan options on the menu. I also had a hot jasmine tea that was absolutely yummy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The prices were very reasonable, and the cute view of the bay made it even better.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely recommend!

Lemongrass Chicken w/steamed rice, steamed vegies, and peanut sauce ($14.25, 8/31/24)

Bay View Thai Kitchen in Depoe Bay clearly have their fan base which piqued my interest and got it duly bookmarked. Driving from Newport, I decided to check it out for a late lunch /early dinner (classic dunch / linner moment) on 8/31/24, snagging a nearby available parking spot. The exterior and exterior are a bit worn and could use a refresh. But true to their reataurant name, the bay view is pleasant, if seated at one of the 4 top tables window side. The service was efficient. Aside from myself, there was a family party of 4. Eventually other parties arrived: family party of six, and a pair of parties of four. It's probably crazy busy for dinner during high tourist season, like this Labor Day holiday weekend. I ordered their app of Crab Cream Puffs w/ cabbage garnish & dipping sauce (6 for $9.50). Decent and generously filled, just a tad overfried. My main entree of lemongrass chicken came with steamed rice, steamed vegies (broccoli, cabbage, and carrots), and peanut sauce ($14.25). I ate all of my appetizer, so only ate a third of the lemongrass chicken, little rice and broccoli. The striking dining experience was the overcooked protein (hence the peanut sauce and steak knife?), bland vegies...no spice, no flavor. I love Thai cuisine with its zing and vibrant flavor profiles, this entree left me disappointed. Also, additional things (not attributed to the restaurant, of course) was the family of four with loud kids. This was in contrast with another family of six, but their kids were well behaved dining out. But the flies and seated by the bus tub...did not improve my culinary experience. My 5% discount from WorldMark Depoe Bay was kind of a joke too, big savings of $1.19, I digress. Glad they have their fan base. It simply fell short for me. Telling it like it is. Kind of expect a bit more for an app and entree costing a little over $27, including tip. PS The leftover rice & broccoli made for great addition to sliced pork, soy sauce, and garlic seasoning the next evening. Sadly the rest of the lemongrass chicken became tougher and inedible.

Outstanding! One of the best Thai food restaurants I have ever been too. Lots of vegan options like the yellow curry and green bean dishes. The crispy springs rolls and fresh rolls with peanut sauce were fantastic! Will always stop in here when visiting the Oregon Coast. Yum! Very friendly family-owned too.

My kid's plate: lemongrass pad thai, peanut sauce, tofu salad rolls, and chicken satay w/toasts.

We had this ridiculous errand to return a ph monitor from my kid's endoscopy procedure to Portland. So we drove 8 hours (with 4 stops) from Newport to Portland and back. The hospital would not let us Fed Ex it or come up with an alternate plan. I was cranky, putting it mildly. By Lincoln City around 2, we were hungry. What do you want? I asked the kid. Thai. We called in takeout to Depoe Bay's Bay View Thai Kitchen which has great reviews/stars. They said our food would be ready in 20 minutes. We took a little longer to get there, because traffic. We got: tofu salad rolls, tom kah soup w/chicken, jasmine rice, chicken satay, and lemongrass chicken pad thai. All ordered mild, because spice and my kid's medical situation aren't compatible. We magically scored a parking space out front. If you know Depoe Bay in summer you know that is a dang miracle. The food was ready when we arrived. It was still hot when we got it home. The tom kah gai container said " no spice". I had said mild which isn't the same but I get it. It was good soup. The rice was perfect. Kid enjoyed the salad rolls. I cannot really eat much cabbage or salad since my whole colon cancer thing, so I skipped them. The chicken satay was good, a little dry, but the yummy peanut sauce fixed it. The cucumber salad and toasts that came with them were extra nice. The lemongrass chicken Pad Thai was good. It had broccoli, carrots, and cabbage in it which was interesting. The chicken was again a little dry which was again remedied by peanut sauce. I missed having a lime to squeeze over it. I picked around the cabbage. All in all this was a really nice late lunch after a crappy day. Thanks Bay View Thai Kitchen! We will be back!

TL;DR: homey atmosphere and meals. Food not overly flavored. The water tasted off to me -- bring your own if you're sensitive. Parking: small shared one lane lot next to the street. Atmosphere: the exterior is rather outdated and worn but the interior is nicer. Only a few tables inside have a window seat for you to view the marina -- no windows actually face the ocean. Service: wait to be seated, you will be watered, order at the table, check brought to you (no tax in case you forgot you're in Oregon). Menu: short and simple with no images but the descriptions are sufficient. I like how non-spicy is an option. There's a shorter menu during lunch hour with slightly lower prices. Lunch items come with 2 pieces of gyoza. Kid Friendliness: high chairs, booster seats, children's utensils and plates. The water tasted a bit strange to me. It almost had a salty ocean aroma and aftertaste to it. I wasn't a fan and pulled out my own water bottle. Pad Kee Mao: though the noodles were pretty flavorful, I found that the veggies were rather bland and the pork was a bit on the dry side. The dish was very heavy on the noodles, onions, and bamboo slices. I barely had any protein -- the pork was gone before I even reached the halfway mark of my meal.

The food was amazing and the service was also great the servers were so friendly and gave amazing suggestions. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The location was nice and the vibe inside was chill[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Parking wasn't hard to find. Would definitely come back if I'm in the area.

    Mango Shrimp Awesomeness

I found this little gem on Yelp, trying to find dinner close to The Devil's Punchbowl. I could tell it was going to be good as soon as I walked in and took a whiff. The mango shrimp was recommended and did not disappoint. Huge shrimp and mango chunks, just like I'd make at home. Great flavors. I definitely recommend this business. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was sat overlooking a wonderful Bay View.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] What a great night

Thai Cuisine along US 101 on the Pacific Coast [Depoe Bay OR] A small unassuming building, not the most attractive, along the Oregon coast... we found this restaurant in Yelp. The interior was small with a huge bar area and a few table seating. There was some wait time before we got seated. Service was slow, they seem to be short handed with one person handling the front (host, server and busser) and a dishwasher would come to the front once in a while to drop off clean tableware. The restaurant was busy. We ordered the following and everything was delicious! ~ Basil Shrimp Rolls (7) - crispy egg rolls, perfect w/ the dipping sauce ~ Broccoli with Oyster Sauce - fresh broccoli with tasty flavors ~ Crab Fried Rice - large chunky pieces of crab in this delicious fried rice Food was a little on the pricey side. Good customer service. Reservations are highly recommended (especially during peak seasons) but not required (if you don't mind the wait). So worth it. Best Thai food on the central Oregon coast. It was so night to sit by the window watching the birds, the boats and the sea lions all enjoying the bay. Now let's talk about the food! We started our meal with their combo plate, a very nice mix of appetizers that they offer. Husband's favor was the potstickers, and mine was the coconut shrimp. Both items we have had before but there was a special touch to these ones that made them stand out! For our main dish, I ordered the Pad See Ew (with tofu and green beans instead of broccoli), delicious and fresh. Husband order the Roasted Duck Pad Thai. He said it was delicious, he was worried about the duck, because he has heard negative things about it but he was so pleased with the flavor and the way the duck was cook.

The outside is very cute and we hear the family is sweet. This was our second time getting food delivered and TBH the first time we were not impressed by our crab pad Thai (like at all , kid's word was " gross") , so I would advise do not do that. It was really very disappointing and pretty expensive. This time we got: - potstickers ( you can choose fried or steamed). Fried, good, 8 in an order, nice dipping sauce. - pork ribs, tasty, comes with veg and rice. Slightly bbq sauced. They could have been more caramelized by a pop under the broiler for a couple minutes just sayin'. - chicken pad see ew- chicken was sooo dryyy, a little sparse, some nicely cooked regular broccoli, also sparse, but it tasted good and was not super oily. - tom kha tofu ( hold the mushrooms). Kid liked it,and ordered a side of jasmine rice (it was so tiny) to put in it. Rice was perfect. - A tiny cup of peanut sauce for almost $4.Tasty but crazy price come on. - Thai iced tea for kid - proclaimed good. I don't like Thai iced tea so I will believe him. This was a better experience for round #2. The servings are not quite as generous as we were used to from other Thai places, but we still had leftovers for lunch. And it was a tad expensive. I'm getting tired of the restaurant rice situation in this town and just going to start using my rice cooker more and keeping cooked rice on hand. Shrinkflation is a real thing. All that said it was a nice meal. If you skip Door Dash and go get it, it is not as expensive.
