Best doner we had in Istanbul/Turkey! It's very far from the city center (about a 40-minute Uber), but it's very popular among locals and when the Uber driver saw where we were going he said, "Yes, that place is the best"! The meat is super juicy and doesn't have the same gamey taste that is present at a lot of the other doner joints throughout the city. They also provide plenty of bread, toppings, and sauces. Despite its popularity, we didn't have to wait at all--the restaurant is enormous and has plenty of space for everyone, and any party size. It's a great place to sit and chat with friends, or grab a late-night snack (which is what we were doing). I'd highly recommend checking it out if you have the time! read more

Five stars, hands down! This place was recommended to us by our local guide. The restaurant was packed when we visited on a weekday for lunch. The menu is deceptively simple- doner served either with rice or in a thin flatbread wrap in 3 sizes- small, medium and large. But the flavors are out of this world! Served along with a bowl of simple salad, thinly sliced sumac onions and banana peppers, this meal was one the highlights of my trip to Turkey. The best in Istanbul. No menu, just "small medium or large plate?" And the doner is already being cooked so service is very fast. If you rate this anything under five stars there is seriously something wrong with you and you need to seek professional help. The most delicious and perfectly cut doner. It is in an absolute Dump location and very hard to get to but well worth it if you're able to go on your trip to Istanbul. There is a very long line waiting outside but they move with rapid fire pace don't be intimidated it only takes about 10 or 15 minutes to get in the door. They literally have seven to eight carving stations which is incredible and they work like an assembly line. The only thing I wish they had was the iskender kebab, but of course if they serve that there's no way they can crank them out this quick lightning speed service and absolutely mouth-watering meat. I was in Istanbul for two weeks on a business trip and ate at Bayramoğlu Döner five times. It was that good! I wish we had something this good back home. The service is fast and friendly (even though I don't speak Turkish they still found a way to communicate with our group.) The food was always fresh and very tasty. Gourmet döner is becoming an IT-thing in Istanbul. Bayramoğlu is one of the cornerstones of this trend. And as such, I realized that everyone does have its own preferred location. Mine is not Bayramoğlu but certainly it's somewhere up there. It's just that I prefer some other places döners better. But these guys do rock as well. Döner is really tasty. By far the best doner I have ever had. The restaurant is definitely not fancy, more like a very tasty fast food. As soon as you sit down salads arrive and the menu is limited to doner but it is made from very good meat and the taste is so very different.
