J.B., the owner, is a staple at our parties, and I'd venture to say that my guests have grown to like her and look forward to seeing her snapping photos of them. She always shows up on time, and is somewhat of a photog ninja in the fact that she's never in the way, but always manages to capture some really big moments of the party. Her style is definitely unique, a bit of the classic mixed with an edgy editorial feel. None of it is contrived, and that's a great thing to know when looking back on your photos. My favorite thing? I never have to tell her what to take photos of. She just gets it. If we have an event sponsor, she is sure to snap plenty of shots of their product. If there's a delectable menu item that a chef prepared, she knows to photograph it. If there's a guest with an excellent outfit on, she snaps their photo and makes them feel like a celeb.
