You guys know I can't say no to pasta, especially not if it is served with wine! I stopped at this mid Beach café during Saturday, Art Basel for a bite between walking and creativity. It's a counter service spot, with the majority of their products being sandwiches and pastries. However, they do have some hot plates like the great deal that is a very generously portion of chicken carbonara pasta. I enjoyed a full bowl of a little past al dente penne pasta with a rich cream sauce, a good amount of grilled chicken and shaved cheese. After having washed this down with a robust Merlot, I also indulged my sweet tooth with their Dulce de Leche infused apple pie. The space is well lit and the cashier friendly. Went here twice during my stay, the first day I got the ham and cheese croissant and hot chocolate both were delicious. The second time I got the poached eggs and was completely disappointed. Not only did they give me crispy bacon instead of Canadian bacon, which I asked for and confirmed that they got my order right before paying, but the "poached" eggs were hard eggs... The staff was not very apologetic when I got my food and reminded them I had ordered Canadian bacon, they just said they didn't have Canadian bacon (something they could've told me when I placed the order, not to mentioned it is an option on the menu). Also not enough hollandaise sauce!! Those were the driest Eggs Benedict's I've ever had. Overall, I would stay away from ordering any elaborate meals here... their croissants and ham and cheese croissant were good as well as their hot chocolate. The place is also bright, clean, and nice. Omg if you are in beach Miami you need to come to this Argentinian brunch spot. This place is definitely worth the visit. The environment is very clean and bright to start your day. They had a wide variety of empanadas to choose from! They had lots of different pastry to choose from. The staff were amazing and they were very welcoming and friendly. In addition, on thing that stood out is that they didn't have a service fee like other Miami restaurants. I have been wanting to try the chicken pasta with the wine special. When I came in, the young lady at the counter said that the kitchen was closed, but said that she would ask the chef. She did and he graciously said that he would make my dish. The pasta was al dente, the chicken was tender, and the Alfredo sauce was super flavorful. I'm a Pinot Grigio girl, but the white wine they had on hand was a Sauvignon Blanc which was very nice. The ambiance was very quiet and cozy for a Monday night. Amazing! Don't be fooled by the unassuming location, a bit away from the pop of Miami Beach. The lattes were the absolute best of the trip. The manager or someone in charge was talking so loudly on speaker phone when we entered and sat down. Continued to yell & appeared to have an attitude with the employees behind the counter the entirety of our meal, so that ruined whatever peaceful ambiance there may have been. Took 20 minutes to see any of our order, despite there being 1 other couple there. Avocado toast had 0 flavor. Pancakes were okay. Whatever establishment bakes the croissants did a wonderful job, but I'd dare to guess that no baking takes place here. No offers of sauce or anything after delivering our food. No one checked on us. No one said hello or goodbye upon entering or leaving. If you want a quick coffee, maybe this is your place. If you'd like a nice easy meal, friendly service, and way better ambiance, head the other direction to CREMA. Be Bakery is a gas station experience. Not a great first impression. read more

Hidden gem right on Collins, one of a few in the area open before 8am. The freshest croissants, muffins, empanadas... They even have mini croissants (butter, chocolate, almond...) so you can treat yourself with a sampling of more of their delicious pastries. They make a delicious mocha as well!!
