So she's worth the drive from either across the street or from Lehigh. She paid. Lose attention and provided the perfect result. Finally after more than two years, including a pandemic that shut down almost every service industry in Las Cruces, NM, I found a place here in Fort Myers Beach that cuts my hair to my satisfaction. Not that there probably weren't qualified and good barbers out there, I just couldn't make appointments because they were all closed. Being back in Florida since September I've been scouting out various barbers but really haven't been too pleased with my cuts. The sign outside says, call or stop in to make an appointment. So I called on a Monday and made an appointment for that following Friday at 8:20 am. Arriving for my appointment, I was greeted by Mary Kay, the owner and my Barber. She asked me how I liked my hair cut, and I told her. (So far pretty much like every one else). She took her time and would occasionally stop and ask me how that felt and if I wanted more or less cut. By the time she finished I was very pleased with the results. She and her one employee provide haircuts for men, women, and children. $21 will get you a regular haircut that includes a straight razor shave on the back of your neck (been a long time since I'd had one of those). Mary Kay has been cutting hair here since 1998 and just last year purchased the shop from the former owners whom she had worked with for many years. This place is located just across the street from Fort Myers Beach and only a couple of blocks from the Causeway Bridge. Theres plenty of available parking. Bottom line: This place is a real treat and very customer -service oriented. As of today, it's only by appointment so please don't forget to make one before you come in. Service: we made an appointment in the morning and was seen by that afternoon (on request). We came during the "off-season" so only one barber was on and of course it was great for us because we didn't feel rushed. The barber took their time and paid a lot of attention to how you wanted your haircut to look. Accepting mediocrity was not acceptable. Kid Friendly: yes - you can also feed turtles in the pond that's in front of the store Senior Citizen Friendly: yes- on Tuesday's and they give a discount (65 and older; $16 dollars) Overall: great little find and recommend to everyone. Accepts scheduled appointments only. Very well pleased with the two haircuts given at a cost of $18 each. Kinda disappointed on the shave given at a cost of $30. Missed areas on the shave and left the face with stubs while nicking the skin in two different areas. The lady barber was very friendly too. read more

My hubby went here on Saturday to get his hair cut. Hours vary day to day, so call ahead. She did a good job on his hair. He came home looking cleaned up and handsome! His haircut was $12...says they offered to shave him...and they also gave him a quick back massage with some massage machine. Upstairs is a salon...haven't gone there yet but the owner of the shop (that cut my husband's hair) said they are the best on the island so I'll probably be checking them out soon. read more

I got seated promptly and got a great haircut, shave, and massage (with this interesting machine) all in about 15 mins... And for just 15 bucks. This is a great spot for a good haircut. Reasonable price with excellent results. As an older man with thinning hair I like the way they work with what you have to give you the best look. The neck shave and neck/shoulder massage are just bonuses. You won't be disappointed but I agree with a previous comment about the traffic. It can be terrible. read more

I just needed a touch up of my hair for an event I was attending in Ft Myers Beach, and found the Beach Barber Shop in a web search. There were other 'salons' that I also found, with crazy prices for a mans haircut. I was a bit skeptical because there were not really any reviews for the Beach Barber Shop. Regardless, I drove there to give it a shot, and let me say that I could not have been happier with the results. The woman who was running the place and cut my hair (the owner I believe) was great. She was friendly, professional and skilled. I explained briefly that I was attending an event and just needed a trim. I know that regardless of a 'trim' or a full haircut, you pay the same price regardless of where you go, but I received a VERY good and detailed trim up, a straight razor shave of the neck and a massage! Best of all, it cost about 1/2 the price of the 'salons', and I'll bet you that the 'salon' wouldn't have done even 1/2 the job that the Beach Barber Shop did! If you need a haircut, just go there! One note, they do have different hours depending on the day, so call first if you are not close tot he shop! You will find it in the little strip mall off of Carolina Ave and Estero Blvd. read more

Hair cut was poor, my wife had to touch it up later but the worst part is she cut off half of one of my eye brows. All she said was sorry, you can use some eyeliner to fix it. An excellent barber shop! Price was a reasonable $12. The haircut was perfect and they have hot lather and know how to use a straight razor for that back-of-the-neck and side burns trim.
