Selling a house.... wow what a daunting task that turned out to be. So we had been working on and…read moreremodeling our house for years and were finally in the last couple months of work and thinking about how on Earth we were going to sell it. One day this wonderful woman walked up to us in our yard and with a radiant smile introduced herself. "Hi, I'm Krista, I was doing an open house up the street and your neighbors told me you are thinking of selling. Do you have anyone helping you with that yet?" "We're thinking about it but not quite ready yet." We she commented on how beautiful the house was and that it should go pretty quickly but that we should make sure we used someone who understood the local market and its quirks. She went on to give us a bunch of free advise and counsel for the next half hour. She left us her card and we exchanged numbers and we both went about the rest of our day. A few months past before we were ready to sell and Krista checked in diligently every month just to see how things were going. We had done quite a bit of studying and watching the local market so we had a good idea of the value of the house and the local comparables. Everything she told us checked out with everything we had found on our own. This lady knew her stuff. Point Krista. When we were almost ready we were approached by a young couple that told us they wanted the house before we even put it on the market. We contacted Krista and asked if she would help us through the process even though we had short circuited the process. She was ready willing and able and treated use like full service customers even at the reduced commission. Point Krista. We went into escrow and low and behold after the inspection report came back the buyers backed out. Month wasted and a few thousand flushed down the drain. "Krista save us", we pleaded and this was when she ducked into a garden shed and out came Super Krista! She's faster than a speeding bullet and able to appraise a house in a single bound. She took over and in two whole days she had another over asking buyer ready to go. Wow! This is where she really came into her own. Time after time, delay after delay the process seemed to be agonizing. Not because of the buyer or Krista but because of all the other parties involved and the aftermath of the real estate meltdown of 2008. Its something most people don't even know about but so many rules and regulations and onerous procedures came out of that mess that the simple transaction of buying and selling a house is like trying to do a hostile takeover of General Electric with an abacus and a debit card. Crimeny, could they make the process more difficult? Not likely. And through it all cruised our hero Krista. She knocked down every roadblock, smoothed every procedure and explained every looney tunes "new policy" thrown our way. POW! BOOM! KAPOW! She fought her way through the evil henchmen of paperwork and delay. We would have been lost without her. She doesn't treat you like a client. She treats you like family. She's part mother, part pit bull, part angel and does it all with a calm smile and a warm embrace. You can hunt around all year long and not find a gem like Krista to guide you across the river Styx but I wouldn't recommend it. No one will take better care of you, make you feel warm and safe like Krista and VC Property Shoppe will. Keep your corporate real estate agents. These ladies don't need a special jacket to take care of you, they have spandex under their clothes because they are superheros. Oh yeah and escrow closed smoothly and we are in our new house and the buyers are just as happy. Game, Set, Match Krista. Win Win Win that is the VC Property Shoppe way.
