I do prospecting in my spare time and know a lot about the history of the gold fields in New South Wales, yet on the tour they gave I found myself learning new things and tidbits of information I'd never heard before. They even have an area where you can pan for gold and I found a nice bit over my 2 day stay. It's a really lovely spot to stay in - we loved watching the funny cows, talking to the dogs and petting the friendly cat. Anne Maree has fitted and furnished the studio to a high standard and with a lot of care. The studio is contemporary and spacious with a well-equipped kitchenette (gas cooktop, oven, fridge, microwave, coffee machine etc). The WiFi is fast, the bed is super comfortable, the bathroom is beautiful and there's a good flat screen TV with Netflix. The laundry facilities next to the studio were a bonus! We loved the soft fluffy towels and lovely bed linens. We were just really disappointed by the breakfast that was supplied for the 2 of us for 3 days. There was just 1/2 a jar of muesli, 2 small UHT cartons of milk and 3 eggs - it's misleading to advertise this as breakfast included! Otherwise, this is a good option for a stay at Moruya!

One bedroom had a king or queen bed, and the second bedroom had a queen bed as well as a single. In the living room, there's a pull-out sofa bed. They say the units sleep 6 people. Cribs and high chairs are available on request, and they had ours ready in our unit. There's a living room, dining table, and kitchen with dishes, cutlery, cooking utensils, sink, microwave, fridge, freezer, small stove, and toaster. Basically everything expect an oven. In the bathroom, they provide one roll of toilet paper, and the rest is on you to buy. They also provide some tea and coffee packets. You can walk a very short distance to an IGA grocery store. The reception staff were friendly and helpful with recommendations of things to do in the area. They also let us check out board games and DVDs. There's a children's room on site with toys and books, and a little playground and sand pit outside. You can hire a boat for three hours for just $25. We thought that was a great deal and enjoyed taking our family out. My husband had never driven a boat before, but the staff patiently taught him and totally trusted him to do it on his own. Really the only negative we had was the Wi-Fi. We didn't have reception for our phone's data, so we had to buy the Wi-Fi for $10 (unlimited devises, use all week). The connection was terrible! It was very in-and-out, often not working at all. It was nice in some ways to unplug from tech, but it would have been nice to upload some photos in the evening, especially because we paid for the internet.

The Old Cobargo Convent is centrally located on the Sapphire Coast in the historic village of Cobargo with its unique shops, antiques, leather shop, wood gallery, broom maker and pottery. Built in 1917 this heritage listed B&B is restored and furnished with antiques. We always feel like stepped back in time with high ceilings and French doors lead onto the veranda, where we can soak up the country atmosphere enjoy the space and breathtaking views across the valley. We would like to say thank you for the times we spent with Bob and Dianne. They are wonderful hosts!

Rustic, rural retreat! There are two cabins on this property…read morelocated in a tranquil, rural setting about 30 minutes out of Bega. To get to the cabins you'll need to travel 4 km off the highway on a gravel road followed by about 600 metres of pretty rough driveway. We had no troubles in our 2WD vehicle but if there is a lot of rain, access could be an issue. The cabins have a spacious bedroom with comfortable bed, small bathroom, well-equipped kitchenette with gas cooktop and oven, and lounge/dining area. Neil and Kumiko are very generous with the breakfast supplies - plenty of bacon, free range eggs, cereal, bread, ground coffee and tea. You'll need to bring supplies - it's a good 30 minute drive to the nearest shops at Bega. Note that this is a remote property so there was no WiFi, but we were still able to access the data on our phones. This is a really good value option for people looking for a relaxing stay in the country.
