I want to preface this by saying we went on a very cold day and ate indoors..the pizza was outstanding and the waiter was friendly and engaging..in other words, typical for our experiences there. Prior to this, we even brought friends who hadn't been there before and loved it...now, to our recent experience: We were seated and the waitress seemed as though she wasn't very familiar with the menu and had to check on our requests, each check took a disturbingly long time. When we brought our friends, my gal ordered a hamburger and I asked the waitress if she could have the wagyu, rather than the angus burger, she readily said yes and my gal marveled over the burger...fast forward to the last experience, the waitress said she'd have to order the wagyu as posted and it "wasn't available" as a stand alone order. So my gal settled for the angus burger and again, the wait was a bit long and as we were considering to leave, the waitress showed up, gave us our food and left. the onion rings were cold...literally...they had been out so long that they weren't even warm (our prior experiences the onion rings arrived hot and delicious). Again we waited for our waitress to return and my gal had to ask another waitress if she could get us some hot onion rings. That waitress noted the cold onion rings and brought them back to the kitchen to prove we weren't being unreasonable, which was a greatly appreciated gesture on her part. Very promptly, the "other" waitress brought our onion rings, apologizing profusely...we thanked her and when my gal started into her Caesar salad, it was inedible....soggy, nearly tasteless and resembling a hot spinach salad with soggy lettuce than a crisp Caesar salad....the upside, the second batch of onion rings were up to their usual excellent standard, the burger was good, but not the intensity of flavor their wagyu burger had. If we hadn't been semi-regulars, it is a near certainty we wouldn't go back, but we aren't going to let a single experience unravel years of good experiences.

The staff is friendly. Unfortunately, the food needs some fine-tuning. We went for breakfast on both mornings of our stay at the DBR. So I had the opportunity to try the buffet as well as the made-to-order "American Breakfast." The scrambled eggs & bacon on the buffet were so dry, an obvious fate for anything sitting over a Sterno unattended for some time. However, the fruit display was beautiful & fresh. The yogurt was my favorite item on the buffet--so creamy & with a hint of honey. Topped with berries, it was superb. Unfortunately, the bacon was just as overlooked & dry on the plated breakfast. My poached eggs were served swimming in some water in a soup cup: not the most appealing presentation. The highlight of the plate were the breakfast potatoes, sliced thinly with caramelized onions. Unfortunately, aside from the view & the yogurt, Reflections mostly falls into the underwhelming category of most hotel restaurants.

The full moon is a great venue to visit for motorcycle events and concerts. I'm sure there are many…read moreother events held here but I usually come up for biketoberfest and bike week. As many of you locals know, these events can last anywhere from four days to almost two weeks which allows multiple opportunities to visit annually, hang out with friends, see all the great shows and have some awesome food and drink. If you have never been to the Full Moon during a motorcycle event you should definitely give it a try. All the concerts are free, the beer is relatively cheap and the girls are beautiful! If you only have a chance to see one band while your here, mark your calendar for Rockit Fly, they pull the biggest crowd and it is always a blast. Rockit Fly is a local favorite and all of the members are personable and easy to talk to. Twisted tea is $3, Bud and Bud light is $4, Yuengling is $5. There are multiple food vendors on site providing items like: large turkey legs, sausage and peppers, chicken on a stick, funnel cakes, french fries, loaded fries, loaded nachos, corn dogs, large pork chops, Philly cheesesteaks, brisket, ribs and much more. Note: it can get loud in here so bring earplugs as a precaution. There are times when I have no problems at all but if I've been listening to bands all day it's nice to know that I have them if I need them. Additional Note: There is minimal seating at the Full Moon but there are bar ledges on the perimeter of the entrance off Main street where you can lean, take a partial load off and watch the bikes go by. The main stage is outdoors with tons of room for large groups. There is also an indoor bar in the back (by the food vendors) with another stage where secondary shows/contests take place in the air conditioning.

The only negative (and something I knew about ahead of time), was the fact that Hanky Panky's is a smoking bar - a big turn off for me. It wasn't terrible, but it definitely prevented us from staying longer. We're it not for the cigarette smoke, I might still be there - lol!
