Don't like this post office since it's moved. Small and not enough room to swing a cat in. Also, check your change when buying something, and do the maths before you pay. In fact, go to a different post office!! read more

On His Majesty's Services '…read more On St. Valentine's Day Year 2025, I paid an unannounced visit to this highly reputable establishment in Peascod Street, Royal Windsor. The customer services that I was afforded by the kind lady who attended to me @ the ' Bureau De Change Desk ' on that very occasion can, perhaps, best be described as being ' exemplary ' in nature. For my parting salvo, even though I had been relieved of a certain amount of Pounds (sterling) for the services that I had requested, more importantly however, I exited the premises with a great feeling of satisfaction. And that is why (without any reservations whatsoever) I would go as far as describing the lady (name unknown) who attended to my needs on this Valentines Day as: ' The Regency Architect - Par Excellence ! I went there today (4th December) to get some stacks and was greeted by a very helpful and cheerful lady called Esther. She was knowledgeable, very pleasant and such a breath of fresh air with her cheerful and care for the customer. We are very lucky to have a home mail delivery service in the UK - for the price of a stamp, they will deliver to any address in the UK, which I think is an important principle. Quite a few countries don't have this and you have to go and collect your mail from a PO Box somewhere. I think we do take this for granted in the UK and it's not til you have to go and collect your mail that it strikes you what a hassle that would be if you have to do it for every single bit of mail you received. However, this delivery office is trying to make it easier and have recently extended their opening hours. I was very pleased to be able to collect a parcel up to 8pm on a Wednesday. Bravo, Post Office. Who says public services are stuck in the mud and unable to change?

Usually, the staff levels are set so you will queue, often back to the door in stifling heat. Lots of windows for staff, but you'll never see more than five of the eight or more booths occupied. One time in four, you'll hear customers moaning, trying to get a group moan going after waiting fifteen minutes only to see staff just walk away from their position. I know they need breaks but it comes back to management here perpetually staffing this place inadequately. Though I will say, their core staff are a mature, confident and efficient bunch. Once you reach them. By the time of which you do though, you are so fed up.
