Ryman in the Manchester Arndale is A-OK, specialising in stationary, they have a great deal of…read moreofficey items (pens, lever arch files, printers, USB sticks), some of their prices are a little higher than average but this is eased slightly by their Student discount. The selection is pretty good, the selection of printers is smaller but with Currys PC World, nearby, no longer stocking them in-store, it is one of the few bricks and mortar stores nearby with physical stock. I find some of the staff to be a little rude, and sometimes I just wish I'd have ordered on Amazon at a cheaper price, that being said the store is easier on the eye than other stationery stores which I find to be often a little messy, and the selection is good, so if you do need stationery in a hurry, this store isn't too bad and the location is convenient being on the upper floor of the Manchester Arndale, next to the old Specsavers unit, which was taken over by Foot Locker. 3*

I was always taught the spelling by the rule, 'e' is for envelope. Alongside envelopes expect to find diaries, calendars, folders, paper, printer cartridges, pens, highlighters, Tippex, Post It notes, blank CDs and pretty much every other item of stationery you'd need in the office or at university. They don't sell larger objects such as office furniture and printers, as it is really only a tiny little shop.

I have been called -- The biggest Idiot in Manchester , by a friend of mine yesterday and rightly…read moreso ---- read below, as to why (Yes yes I know everyone likes to hear Idiot stories). My job requires me to get bulk printing done ever so often and I used to travel all the way to the university from Northern Quarter to get those done. Yesterday was one such day when I needed to get 50 flyers printed in color, I was running short of time because I needed to get them printed in a few hours. Like a very smart person I decided to look for some printing places on Yelp so that I can save time instead of going all the way to the university. I found a few places in City Centre (yay) and obviously got excited and set off for my journey. My first stop was U-Print near Piccadilly train station, I walked there just to discover that the place no longer exists (Great, I lose 30 minutes). Then I decided to go to the next one in Edge Street, Northern Quarter right opposite Common (No idea why I did not notice that place EVER) and a very polite gentle man told me they usually take 2-3 days to print things (Lost 30 more minutes). I almost gave up hope and decided to not waste anymore time and call for a cab to go to Oxford Road. While waiting for the cab below my house I decided to look around a bit only to discover that there was Minuteman Press right in front of me (Now you know why I am an Idiot and a BIG one too? ). I went inside and asked the owner how long it would take for him to print 50 copies, and he asked me to come back in one hour. Once I was back, he had everything printed and ready for me and that too extremely good quality professional prints. I paid 40 pounds for 50 flyers which is a bit expensive but definitely worth it when you see the quality of the prints and the time taken. Verdict : Hurray! I have a professional printing place right next to my Flat.
