My family has loved coming into this thrift store in the past and often did but today was a…read moredisappointment. The store now no longer puts price tags on their items and expects the buyer to go to the counter to ask for prices on items each time now they want to know the price. That is only to the store's advantage. If all items are not priced, it may give flexibility to the staff who can decide to research the item online with their smart phone before stating the price, to see its current value. But it can be also a way to size up customers (by their behavior and the way they dress) which is an unfair advantage. Goodwill, Salvation Army. Hope and Savers would never do that. Perhaps this thrift store simply hopes that people won't ask the prices on things and just assume the prices are the same as before on the average, bringing the items to the counter only when it is time to purchase. Then later see how much they were charged on their receipt, if they even notice.

It's all outside. The gal working there was super sweet and had the most adorable puppy! I used to sell Talavera at prior jobs, and these prices are competitive. I paid $189 for a pot that down the street would be $300. Talavera isn't cheap to begin with, but if you love it, you love it. I wanted to get the word out because this place is worth finding. I was concerned about finding it so let me share how: To get to it go up 101 north and take Messick Road. It's after San Miguel Canyon. You don't have a lot of warning so once you see the sign be prepared to get off the Highway. Treasure Garden is to your almost immediate left on the opposite side of a little building. There is parking right up front too! You will see some of the cute stuff they have out front.

I'm going to give it to my nine-year-old granddaughter. Also found a painting that was ironically done by an artist who lives nearby me and I texted her and she said it was one of her very early works that she did when she and her husband were traveling in Kenya Africa and that she barely even remembered it. I got it for $4.99. Her work usually sells for anywhere from five to $10,000. The downside of the store is the women's section is all nicely divided by color but not by size so you have to go through every single item to find the different sizes. The men's section is neither divided by color or size it just everything's just stuck on the rack and again you have to go through every single item to find what you're looking for. The last thing is the girl at the front cash register was really very disengaged and borderline rude when we were checking out I kept trying to ask her a question and she kept interrupting me or talking over me or just totally ignored that I was there talking. Also, the other problem with the store is it is right next to a very, very busy Ross department store a Chuck E. Cheese and a gun shop. The problem is they only had one handicap space for all those stores.

It's a pretty cool store because you can rent a space and sell your own things. So there was a ton of cool things. I found that all the prices were reasonable. I was able to find some gently used shoes for my son and some hello kitty hair clips. I really loved the concept of this store and will definitely return.
