This is the smaller edition of this business type in ye olde San Juan Bautista and is kinda sorta more conservative in it's fashion focus. Parking is street only but in San Juan Bautista that just means you'll be down a side street a block or so away. This is a straightforward shop-it's a direct line from the entrance all the way to the back wall and the consignment sections line either side. The very back is where the changing rooms (trying on clothes booths I mean) are, and it's also the consignment what has the big and tall section. Generally the clothing is of older more conservative styling, but well, it's a consignment store so the stock rotates and you never quite know what will turn up. Better then average selection of accessories, and there is a small amount of art/home decor stuff some of which is excellent. They do have a small selection of formal shoes, but really this is not a dedicated shoe store. Still some good finds upon occasion however. Great spot for vintage. Pricing is as marked buttt....sometimes if the person running the register is the consignee bargaining can sometimes can be done. Generally speaking you are looking at twenty to forty dollars an item, sometimes more sometimes a bit less. Finding a complete outfit will either be expensive or hard to do what with all the matching. Finding that one special thing that completes your look at a total bargain is much more likely. My favorite boutique in San Juan Bautista! It has different artisan stations with many different goodies, from adult clothing to children's clothing, dolls, hair accessories, jewelry, shoes and more. I love their Guatemalan, Russian and Peruvian collection. The colors and embroidery are outstanding. I go there often to see what treasures I find. Last visit I purchased beautiful huipiles, a large dressed up Frida Kahlo doll (with all the accessories) and a beautiful silk large flower head piece (none of that cheap stuff) for Day of the Dead. Such a charming store in a charming neighborhood! Fell in love with the handmade jewelry and vintage clothing selection. The alpaca wool collars are also a great alternative to real fur and look just as glamorous. Selections change seasonally- I always pop by whenever I'm in town to see what's new. I just wish more of the local businesses stayed open 7 days a week, too. read more

I heard they were having a "International Day" So I came from Sacramento and it was well worth the trip. I found so many one of a kind items. It was amazing to see that they had entertainment - Brazilian Guitarist, Peruvian Dancers, Peruvian cooking demonstration, German wine tasting. Free international food that was AMAZING!! and they even had free drawing. If you came dressed in an international costume you won a prize. My 83 year old mom was so excited to win a prize. The owner and the merchants were all so nice and welcomed us with open arms. The merchandise was anything from Vintage ( which i LOVE) to stone jewelry, Alpace clothing, Items from Peru one of my favorites were the Hats and masks from One of a Kind Art. I purchased a hat and wore it the next day and got so many compliments. My sisters favorite was watching a local artist paint she was so impressed and LOVED his work she bought a print and the artist ( Carlos Lopez) autographed it for her. I know she went online to do some more shopping. It was amazing and can not wait until we can make it back. read more

I was on Sunday in San Juan Bautista, so we eat at Dona Esther them later we walking on town and saw the store with a lot of flag ouside, I was think was cute so we went inside and there were a lot stuffed from different country, Peru, Ukrania, Mexico and more we love a lot and the people who was there was very nice smile and care I love this store everyone feel welcome I be back again special for Christmas. read more

I hate that I am one of two that have reviewed this place and it is not at all the same experience as the other yelper had here. Came in on Wednesday with my mom and sister. It was my moms birthday and I was excited to show her all our neat shops here in San Juan. Walked in and we weren't greeted nor acknowledged. Walked through the gallery feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. I do not expect people to be over the top or anything just to be polite. Maybe a smile. I tried to keep a positive attitude but it was difficult. I know a lot of people walk through and do not buy anything but hey, maybe if we got a smile it would have encouraged us to spend money. Had a lot of cute things too. After the poor customer service we left. Walking out we said thank you. Might of came off rude but that was what we got walking in. Gentlemen said "welcome" as if he did us a favor or we were a bother. I don't even think he looked up. Lol. I love this town and have had great experiences in other shops. All I ask is a semi warm welcome into your business. read more
