Too bad it's private and thus only open to members. It's a Pete Dye course, so from a player/spectator perspective, it's a golfer's paradise. I was astounded by the size of the course and beauty of it - hole #18 is quite a looker, as is the recognizable #6 with the red covered bridge. The BMW Championship was well executed despite the wacky weather that week. I was able to park in a field a few miles away and ride a shuttle to the course and quickly caught one back when I was ready to leave. The course was breathtaking in the crisp white and black BMW colors, but what else do you expect when BMW is the title sponsor? Crossing my fingers the tournament returns in 2020 so we can experience it again.

The course was always in great shape - bunkers raked, greens cut evenly, divots filled, etc. This is a very private course, and you need to be with a member to play. Fortunately, they have a prestigious caddie program that offers members a chance to play quickly, and vast community involvement for kids to learn lifelong skills. The members are overall very inviting, and the staff is very helpful - not only in the pro shop, but in the whole (beautiful) clubhouse itself. If you have any chance to play, I highly recommend!

I split the Mango Salmon and Hoosier Hot Plate (beer-battered and deep-fried custom cut pork tenderloin w/peppered gravy) with my brother, and both dishes were excellent, with the fish being very tender and juicy, the tenderloin being the best I have ever tried in the entire state of Indiana. Always enjoyed it…read more I do realize that P.V. has changed ownership and management companies a couple of times in the more recent past......and so I looked forward to playing there again with two friends from out of town. Deal was good, times were good, carts were good and the ProShop people were more than adequate. Due to recent rains course was Cart path only, which was surprising since course got hit by rain 2 days before i played. Cart path only always stinks for a 70 year old, but hey, i still love to play. What WAS surprising and in a negative way was that several (like more than 1/3) saw the greens in terrible shape and in 1/2 of the cases, the teeboxes look like they hadn't been tended to in a couple of years. That part of the round was totally terrible...and disappointing candidly.

The PGA TOUR Superstore is the leading experiential golf retailer - golf enthusiasts of all levels can come to the store and practice putting on the green and hitting in the bay, receive an in-house custom club fitting, get their clubs repaired, or take lessons from certified teaching professionals. I needed every bit of this. I never had golf lessons before, so working with a professional was super helpful. It also improved my confidence. Throughout the whole day participants also received 10% off purchases..good deal to me. The endless choices of golf supplies, gear, and equipment was impressive! It's a bit quiet when it's not busy but while we were there, there were groups practicing golf swings and some people who were just there to play so it can be as fun or serious as you'd like for it to be. There's a bar inside with beers and canned beverages. You can choose from a plethora of courses to play from and the controller in each bay allows you to review swings, edit scores, manage your session however you'd like.

A few months ago, we purchased a family membership to the IRC. The goal was to be able to play more tennis. It took a while to figure out all the unspoken processes and how to get in the system. So far, we are doing things on our own and haven't have classes yet. But the tennis is good. And, now I think I know more and should be able to get a class soon. The pro shop is great! I enjoy being there, they are very knowledgeable, helpful and polite.
