Nostalgia at its finest! Fast and friendly service! I would definitely try a different burger next time, not my favorite but the shake and fries were delicious! Gouda Burger Fresh Cut Fries Banana Cream Pie Shake

First of all I love diners and the decor in this one was on point. It was absolutely adorable inside. They had old signs hanging and the small booths. The staff was wonderful and very fun. Some of them really interacted with the customers. There is no host here. You seat yourself and you actually order through the kiosk. Once you order and your food is ready, then a staff member will call your name and bring out your food. The menu selection was more than I expected. I got the peanut butter burger and it was amazing. I thought it was going to be weird, but it actually works. They were super busy, so expect to wait a little for your food. Also, there is seating outside when weather is nice. I can't wait to go back.

If you want a retro dinner feel area for an easy quick meal, this is the place to be. The staff is mainly high schoolers who appear quite friendly and hard working. The big bear is kind of like a Big Mac with their signature sauce and a bun in the middle. Good bite of cheesy greasy goodness. Would recommend over the peanut butter and jelly only because those flavors overpowered and you couldn't really taste the burger.

Been passing this place for years. Finally stopped to check it out. Here is the scoop. The place is very diner like. Which is good! Staff was nice and very helpful when we ordered. Lots of booths against the walls and tables in middle. You order at the counter then you find a seat and they bring it out to you. We got 2 small shakes. They are good but small is small. They are very tiny for the price. Not really worth it. Got a cheeseburger. Just a regular one. Not any of the special burgers. It was ok. Not bad just ok. We got the full onion rings to share. They are beer battered which is the only way to have them. They are good. But the portion is rather small for the price. I think we got round 6 rings. Good but small. They do have some craft sodas, which looked good like birch beer and cream soda. I did not try because we got the shakes. Overall taste was good. Everything was good. Shake and onion rings good! Just pricey for the amount. We paid $36 with a small tip, because your pressured to tip. Burger ok. Not great. Slightly disappointed by the experience which is why the score. Not really worth it. Will we go back, probably not.

It's been so long since I've been to Beardens but it was fun to visit tonight for nostalgia's sake. I'll start off with the one thing I wasn't a fan of and it's ordering on a screen. It works for some places but for places like this where you go for the fun experience it feels pretty sterile. Anyways I got a pb burger and the smoked Gouda burger, split onion rings with my mom, and she got a plain burger and everything was so good! I remember the burgers used to be small and that's why I got two, but these were really big. And if you're curious, try the peanut butter burger it's really good! Beardens, I hope you stick around for a long time.

Food is great fast and made fresh order on a screen then they will bring it to the table wheel chair accessible. The ambiance is awesome. Service is awesome and friendly

Towards the end of my holiday time and I was going a little stir crazy, so I headed out for lunch. I was excited to see that Bearden's offered veggie or Impossible patties with all the fixings, or subbed into their fancy burgers. I had a Gouda burger with Impossible and some shoestring fries. Both were pretty solid, maybe not the best I've ever had, but good! I just went with water, but it looked like they had house or craft sodas, so I would definitely be interested in trying those. I do have to say, the sodium level in the food was pretty high. Maybe I shouldn't be surprised from a burger and fries, but I drank around 4 glasses of water when I got home! The interior is cute - very retro. This is probably not the place for a quiet lunch or dinner. I was not the only one going stir crazy that day if the general noise level of the out of school crowd is anything to go by. So overall, a fun cute place to visit with good food, and a pretty low-key, but not quiet, family friendly vibe.

Local 50s style diner? Braeden's is local staple diner right off Lake drive just over the bridge in Rocky River! This family owned diner is a great quick stop for 50s diner style food, ambiance, and friendly service made to order. If you're a local you already know and if you are just visiting, be sure to stop in! Lots of great burger and handheld options with sides and tasty malts and shakes! A perfect family spot with low table seating and booths avaliable. Takeout is also a great option! Check out the menu with a range of option's at moderate price's. Fountain drinks are all in house options. Enjoy!

It's good for a sit down fast food meal. I had a single cheeseburger and it was delicious. Fries and onion rings were standard--ours came out cold. I had to find salt on another table. Nonetheless, I'd go back for the burger!! Cute retro decor.

Atmosphere was a wood, rustic, whiskey barrel feel and the food was great. Came back this year, and it was probably the most brutal restaurant experience I've had in a while. So Char is now called Avo Mexican, but they didn't change the atmosphere to replicate a Mexican place. It's still whiskey themed- with signs slapped on the old logo. They still have some of the old menu items from Char- which is so confusing too. When we walked in I asked the host if the bar was open seating. He said "oh I don't know" and walked away. We just sat at the bar since he didn't come back. We asked the Bartender what happened to Char and he said the owners wanted a rebrand. But it looked like a whiskey bar still....they didn't rebrand anything. I got a marg and my guy asked for a Mexican beer they used to have. Bartender said we haven't had that in a year. So they got rid of all their Mexican beers....? Even though they are now a Mexican place? So he ended up getting a Coors Light. My Marg lacked any sweetness or Agave. It was tequila and lime juice- poor bartender was struggling with 4 bar guests. It was kinda sad. I got a taco salad and my guy got a burger. He used to get the burger with fries, but now that it's Mexican, they only have chips. We had chips and guac for an app, so that was super annoying. Fries used to be really good. And who wants a burger without fries? Place wasn't busy, but our food took 35 minutes. Bartender kept apologizing and saying the kitchen was slammed. It clearly wasn't, I'm sure the cooks were adjusting to a new menu. Food was okay. Used to be really good, but I wouldn't recommend anymore. I guess they close at 8pm some days, because around 7:40 when we just had gotten our food, the bartender said it's last call. We were kinda laughing that they did a last call during normal dinner hours. My fiancé was considering getting another beer after dinner, but I guess they were closing...so weird. I've never seen a place close at peak dinner hours. No idea why they rebranded it. Confusing signage, food is not good anymore, drinks are bad, atmosphere doesn't make sense, menu is lackluster, service and kitchen are lacking, hours are bad. Sucks to write this, but I 100% will not be returning.

My husband and son both ordered the Immigrant Son Smashburger and shared an order of zucchini fritters. The burgers were excellent and definitely the standout of the night. The fritters were crispy and a great side to split. My younger son tried the poutine, which he enjoyed, though we all agreed it leaned a bit on the salty side. I ordered the Chicken Paprikas Handheld. It was good, but different from what I expected. Instead of a traditional paprikash feel, it was more like shredded pulled chicken and did not include spaetzle as the menu description suggested. It was topped with smoked tomato aioli and house pickles. Interesting flavors, but not something I would order again. My husband sampled two beers; the Irish Dry Stout and the "Toast Moats" Stout and he really enjoyed both. The dining and bar areas are large with an open layout and both low and high-top tables and booths giving the space a lively but comfortable vibe. We visited during happy hour and sat in the bar section and appreciated the specials and pricing. Overall, a solid first visit with great burgers and beer. We'll definitely be back to try more.
