I started the pest control service when we moved into our new home in around May 2020. Our new community/neighborhood have a bad case of springtail that year, most likely due to not having sufficient time to dry the walls during constructions. It was crawling/jumping everywhere, and at the peak we spray 6 cans of radar (or equivalent) a day. It was so bad I will be spraying near the doorway downstairs, and my husband will be spraying upstairs in that open loft (which I yelled at my husband and asked if he were trying to kill me! As I was right there on the downwind! Silly husband!) Anyway our neighbors have the same problem recommended Alex. When we reached out Alex came by pretty quickly, and gave a full diagnostic of the situation and started the service right the way. He took the patience and unscrewed our outlets and do the powder pesticides in between walls (that's a lot of outlets), on top off with the granular in the other outdoor area. We can see instant results after the first visit. If you've read online, you know how persistent springtails problems could be! We have a follow up second visit after two months, and after that the bugs are gone! And did I mention no odor? We are still maintaining an every 3 months routine service with them. Ben / Alex are helpful and always send us the service reminder (with specific hours window). So far, between Alex and Christian, they have kept our house relatively pest free! I've been using Bears Pest control for quite a while. Unfortunately, the last couple of services have not done the job. I've been finding spiders and other live bugs all around the outside perimeter of my home. I've called to have them "retreat" but it doesn't last more than a few weeks. On top of that, someone is supposed to come out every 90 days. Scheduling & frequency is all over the place, which also contributes to the perpetual bug problem. I shouldn't have to keep track of the frequency of treatment, that's what I pay the company for. For the price, quality and customer service, I'd go elsewhere. read more

These guys are great. My previous pest control guy was awful and it was a breath of fresh air to have a kind person show up. I forgot how much that matters. It's the little things, he didn't rush out and took a couple minutes to chat. While talking, my daughter desperately wanted to tell him about the ants on the driveway. He paused our conversation to listen to and thank my little one. It impressed me quite a bit, my daughter was so happy to be heard that she told me what a nice guy he was. Last year I had spiders bad and those brown roaches everywhere I lifted up a tarp I had layed down under a peach tree and lifted it up and there were thousands of them. I originally contacted Bear's because I gained a huge ant problem out of no where. I've also had big issues with black widows in the past. Christian came sprayed outside and inside and cleaned up all my eves. Unfortunately the ants did come back, but naturally in another part of my house. I scoured the internet for pest control when I moved into a new place. We had spiders, black widows, etc. My husband doesn't believe in pest control because he thinks we can handle killing bugs on our own. In addition, he's just not scared of bugs like I am. I knew he wouldn't allow me to hire a pest service unless it was a decent deal. We've never needed pest service before, so we weren't sure what to look for or how it worked. After contacting place after place that offered subscription services/monthly services, Facebook "amazingly" matched me with Bears Pest Protection Ad, which promoted their one time $49 pest service. It sounded too good to be true. No contract. Just a one time service to try out how effective he is. After much convincing my husband agreed to the one time service to try it out. Alex contacted me the following day to set up a service and was accommodating to my schedule. The day they came out, Ben delivered exceptional customer service. He explained how the spray worked and asked me what sorts of bugs I was seeing. He reassured me my pets and kids would be ok and not affected. He gave me an estimated time he'd be done. Once complete, they explained their quarterly services and let me know there was no obligation, however if I was interested they'd text me the following month to see if I wanted service. I liked how they accepted many different payment methods! They're up to date with all the techy ways to pay! I appreciated their candor. Their service. Trust me when I say I've contacted a few other services and these guys are the nicest of them all. Now for efficacy. Since they sprayed my house, I HAVE YET TO SEE ANY BIG SPIDERS!!! I would say, if you're considering getting pest service. Definitely contact them. Ben came to my house, said to seal the attic and roof. Found out more mouse in the attic 3 months later. Call them back they said the mouse created a new holes in the roof, that why they were back. How do I know they didn't missed the hole last time??? I already paid them over $1100, now they want additional $350 for more seal and mouse poison. What happened to my one year warranty? The hole on the roof in the picture does not look new, it looks like it has been there for while. It has been less thatn 5 months ago, since they done the job. Got a second opinion today from another company, they found old holes and large opening in the roof that needed to be sealed. Why didn't Ben see those holes before? Ben might come across as a nice guy, but I need somebody to do the job right. I don't need a nice guy. He got my $1100 as a lesson to you all. read more

Alex had come out to our house a few months ago. He took all the time needed to go over each situation we had brought up. Especially the rats migrating in from the fields where they are doing construction. We were really concerned about our dogs and the poison. He uses only a product that is safe to have around dogs and has done quite a bit of research on it before using it. Alex took time to go around our entire house and clean up all the spider webs and spray inside and out. He even treats the grass for fleas since we have a ton of dogs in the area who walk by. From being over whelmed with rats, spiders and such.... Our house is amazing now!!!! No spiders and not one Black Widow in a few months. Rats are not trying to come into the house and back porch and have dwindled down to not be a nuisance. Cob webs don't exist any more!!! Alex is AMAZING!! This review is long overdue (and is a little long), so let me start by saying I am highly satisfied with Bear's Pest Protection, and have been a highly satisfied customer for a little over 3 years. I did a pretty good amount of research when looking for a pest control company. I'd worked with a few different companies and the past and found the bigger companies to able a little pushy. One company I had in the past messed up pretty bad applying the product in my house (long story). Not Bear's Pest Protection. I can't really speak to how big Bear's is (it's definitely not like Clark's or others like it), but it really doesn't matter-- their product and customer service are on point and the know what they're doing. On the first visit, Alex and Ben (the owners) came out and did an inspection, applied the first treatment, and even stopped for a few minutes to casually talk. Side note, Alex had told me he got into pest control because of his deep interest in entomology (study of insects)--so his approach is to actually understand the bugs (and other pests) not just the product. He also told me that while he is guarantees that he or his associates will come out in between months as requested if problems arise, they are literal perfectionists and they do their absolute best every time to avoid that burden on the customer... and admittedly I've never had to call them out in between (where I have with other companies I've been with in the past). They clear the eves of spiderwebs every time (some other companies say they'll do that, but get lazy and don't). I used to have a big spider problem (especially black widows) and a little rat problem, and the ongoing 3-month service has eliminated all of that. Another side note, the product they use dries pretty quickly and is a natural product that is safe around kids and pets... which is nice because I don't have to bother attempting to relocate my kiddo and cat the few times I've asked them to retreat the inside of my house. I've also never had any problems with during the winter with the product washing away or bugs trying to enter my home. Since my first service, I've had a few of Bear's other workers come out (my main person for the last year or so has been Christian), and I really appreciate their attention to detail and their down to earth approach to customer service. It's nice to actually feel like I know the people doing the service instead of have some new random person come every time. Thank you everyone at Bear's Pest Protection!! Bear's Pest Protection was recommended to me, and I'm really glad it was. My initial phone call with Bear's was informative and genuine. I didn't feel like I was being sold on a product or a service, but rather had my questions answered and learned about the services they offer. When I called again with follow up questions, Bear's Pest Protection were friendly and funny and I felt like I was communicating with someone I could trust- this really sold me on this company. At the initial service, the team arrived on time. They explained what they were going to do and what we could expect after the service. We received a reminder text about the next service and when I realized we might not be home, Bear's Pest Protection allowed us to communicate with them via text message. The second service was just as great as the first one. Again, Bear's Pest Protection arrived on time. They were respectful, polite, and answered all my questions. They cleaned up all the cobwebs around my property, and I am still impressed that they have not returned (side note: I am a clean freak and have often tried removing cobwebs myself only for them to return again and again), so I am THRILLED that the outside of my house is finally cobweb free. I requested service from Alex via a Facebook ad. He was able to visit my home within a few days. Upon arriving he talked to my dad and I and explained what his service entailed and educated us on different pests. He super personable and very thorough with his job. I was able to sign up my dad for his house as well. I was concerned about the type of products he uses since I have a young infant and dog...fortunately he specializes in homes with pets and children...there was zero smell and he loves dogs! He specializes in spiders and with the summer heat approaching black widows will start to service so I suggest using his company. I will gladly support a local business versus a big corporation like Terminix. Companies like Terminix usually have a quota to fulfill in a day leaving customers with a rushed job. Alex won't rush through the process and uses a special dispenser that gets up and under crevices versus just spraying chemicals that don't go where they need to.
