The Beaudesert Hotel is an Art Deco MASTERPIECE!!! Thank God it has never suffered from a wrong-headed refurbishment!! Beautiful plaster mouldings and just an orgasmic sense of majestic dimensions. The building is a triumph of passive temperature control because of it's very mass... I have often stayed in the GENEROUS upstairs rooms, a real delight at rock-bottom prices. No air-conditioning; but it's just not needed! Great views from the balcony onto the quiet main street at night. read more
