Despite the work no hassle or any inconvenience arose; the alternative breakfast room was well prepared, excellently done! A place where I'd like to stay over-night as well!

Fionan and Nuala were faultlessly hospitable, without an ounce of intrusiveness whatsoever. We stayed in room 1, which was more spacious than we needed; the shower never lacked for hot water, while the bed was quite comfortable. Each morning, we were treated to a delicious breakfast: eggs, sausage, bacon, tomato, brown soda bread, cereal, yogurt, coffee or tea, milk, juice. It was fresh, tasty, and filling. Our hosts were a valuable source for recommendations, from bus routes to restaurants to day trips out of Dublin. Andorra is not far from the city centre--maybe a 20 minute walk or a five minute bus ride. After we got to the Dublin airport, we realized we had taken our door key with us. The rooms are a good size and given the location being in the center of the city it's not really too noisy when at night. Breakfast is also inlcuded in the price which is a bonus. It's only 10 minutes wlk to the main shopping area of Grafton Street from here and it's also very close to the infamous Temple Bar area. Overall it's an enjoyable experience to stay at the Lyndon Guesthouse and I'll definitely stay there again.

Thankfully we got an en suite room because sharing a bathroom with the entire guesthouse is not my cup of tea. We found it difficult to actually find the place but i think that was due to google maps. Not a place I'd like to stay if i was heading on a night out due to it being a long uphill walk. When we arrived there was no one at reception to let us in the building so we had to ring them to say we were outside. After a bit of a frustrating booking confusion we were able to go to our room. Up seven flights of stairs! I'm lazy so that was tough but i managed haha. Definitely not suitable for anyone with mobility issues and not wheelchair accessible that i noticed. Breakfast is not included in the price but is only a fiver. I can't comment on the quality because we had meet ups planned in the city each morning so never ate the food. Staff were very nice and helpful. Room was clean....except for those little mini milks. A few were open and mouldy but we'd bought our own milk at the shop anyway so it didnt bother us. Walls are thin so any arguments or ahem adult activities can definitely be heard. Was surprised by how little outside noise we heard. I expected it to be loud out in the street with traffic and just general city sounds but it was very quiet thankfully. It was a lovely cozy room and the shower was perfect. Bathroom was spotless. Good location once we found it lol, getting around the city was very straight forward. If you like walking then this great location means that taxis are practically unnecessary. We used none. A few minor and esentially unimportant negatives about this place but overall had a very enjoyable stay here. The free wifi was a bonus!

We couldn't have been happier with our decision. First, the location is outstanding. Right across the street from the beach and within a 25 minute walk of Stephen's Green/Temple Bar area--close enough to be convenient, but far enough away to be insulated from evening revelry. The property has onsite, off road parking as well, which was a bonus for us. The property itself is recently renovated and exceptionally appointed. Access is controlled with electronic keys that open both the building door and the individual rooms. The main bedroom featured a luxurious king sized bed with a comfy duvet, while the second bedroom was perfect for kids--a nice full down/twin up bunk bed with an available baby's crib as well. Each room had a gas fireplace as well, though we didn't use either. All the items you'd expect are included--ironing boards/irons, hair dryers, umbrellas, coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator, etc. Both rooms feature 40" flat screen TVs with Netflix & Amazon Prime Video included. The bathroom is spacious and well lit with luxury towels and host provided toiletries. The best aspect of our visit was the gracious hostess, Mary. Mary truly cares about providing an outstanding experience for her guests. Little touches like included wine splits, chocolates, and snacks were unexpected treats. The incredible breakfast was the highlight of our visit. Whether you choose the delicious continental option or the full Irish breakfast, you won't be disappointed. We hated to leave; the kids are already asking if we can go back. Rest assured, if and when we do, we'll stay with Mary at the Beach House B&B.

After some confusion, we were set to receive breakfast and found that for the rest of our stay the owner was completely accommodating. The room was lovely and a very good size. Old with significant amounts of charm and very clean. Generous tea tray provided and a nice set of toiletries. The bathroom was nothing special but adequate and again, very clean. Overall a really pleasant stay in a very pretty building; feeling like your miles (or kilometres now isn't it?) away though you're in fact in Ballsbridge. The missing stars here however are for the breakfast. Apparently fifteen Euro a head (though we got it free due to the website mix up) the poached egg was very over cooked, as was the bacon. Everything else was very nice and the setting was lovely but the experience was dampened by a very rude waiter who seemed to not want anything to do with us. I refrained from asking for more tea because he was so unapproachable. Left with a slightly sour taste in my mouth.
