I had a good experience with her straightening my hair before so I went back. I thought she was a good person who just messed up until instead of owning her mistake, she tried to lie, cheat and gaslight her way out of it. Instead of doing a good job on my hair she edited a photo to make it look like she did as an excuse not to refund me any money. If she would have told me I can't do what you want but I can give you regular highlights, I would have said no thank you and left. I NEVER expected her to fabricate a photo to skirt culpability. She sold her integrity for $365 and revealed herself to be an untrustworthy person with weak character and morals. The owner is going to comment about how the lighting in the salon made my hair look like that but Irene, you need to stop gaslighting me. I was in your salon under the same lighting that the (edited) photo was taken in and my hair looked nothing like it. Otherwise I would have left happy and been upset later. And that's not what happened is it? Stop gaslighting me. But if you're sticking to that then who wants to go to a salon that makes their hair look COMPLETELY different from what you went there for as soon as you walk outside? This all could have been solved so easily if Melissa said I'm so sorry, I misunderstood what you wanted and did something completely different--instead of doubling down on her lies and getting the owner to co-sign them. A little accountability from two adult women is not too much to ask for. Edit: Irene, you did not offer to fix my hair for free, you offered to re-tone it. Toner will not make my hair lighter and you know that. Also, Irene, you took the photo of my hair outside. How are you going to say it's just the lighting? I contacted Irene and said I would take my reviews down--all she has to do is retake the photo in the salon lighting and show me that I'm wrong. That the photo isn't edited. Instead of taking two seconds to do that, she blocked me. Looks like accountability is not in the cards for her.

I was also impressed with how my hair turned out (I had it washed/blow dried/straightened) and appreciated Kai Lisa's advice. Prices were extremely fair, I was serviced immediately, and was out the door in under 90 minutes. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely be returning.

Then she said it was just for a trim and highlights. Whatever. But she was new I think and cut my hair in some crazy style that I told her please not to do. Finally I was going to pay and she said she wouldn't take my debit card because she wouldn't get her tip that day and made me walk to the bank across the street to get money out. (They did have the ability to use my card, she just didn't want to because of the tip). Oh plus she charged me $40 extra. I got my groupon refunded. This was the first time I've ever cried over a bad haircut. Don't go here, ever. No wonder the place was empty.

I've been here 3 times, and have gotten highlights and a cut all 3 times. The first 2 experiences…read morewere great - I had the same stylist and was charged $250 both times. However, the 3rd time I came in, I had a different stylist because my original stylist was unavailable. I was charged $378 for the same services, and when I questioned their charges, I was told prices had increased since the last time I came in, and all stylists charge separately. Manager also noted the stylist spent 4 hours on my hair, but the past 2 appointments the stylist also spent 4 hours on my hair so this doesn't justify anything for me. I should have been notified before my appointment about a $128 increase in services. I had no idea I needed to ask beforehand, since I was charged the same price the previous 2 times. I also didn't receive any consultation with new stylist which would've solved many issues. I came here 3.5 months after my prev appt, but was charged significantly more than coming in after 5 months? I was even more upset after I was charged $68 for a "dusting" (cutting split ends) which was then reduced to $48, because I had come in not wanting a haircut but was pressured to by the stylist. The salon did nothing to rectify the issue - which was not notifying me of a $128 increase in prices - and instead threw me a $50 bonus to use for the NEXT time I come in. Why would I come in again, when prices might be even higher and the $50 wouldn't do anything. Nothing was done for this current appointment. Don't expect much to be done if you have complaints, and be aware of the pricing BEFORE your appointment begins, so they can't charge you extra/more after it's all done. The stylists are extremely talented, but the way the salon handled my complaints was disappointing.

My top layer was shredded and overtexturized, and I had a mess of choppy layers. Somehow he was able to blend and balance things out, and I couldn't believe he made it look good while preserving my length! HIGHLY recommend if you have thick hair, or if you have a bad cut you need to grow out like I did!
