I don't know the nail lingo so when I called, I needed it for a Wednesday and I wanted them"done". Had I known any better, I would've said full set. On Wednesday a basic manicure is what you get. After about the third coat of clear polish, I asked if I was getting actual nails and that's when I was told I was only getting what I got. I wish this was clear from the beginning because I definitely came in and announced myself as new and I know they knew I wasn't a regular. Once it was clear that I wasn't getting a full set, I just went on with the appt bc at this point all is left is polish. The lady couldn't do a full set bc she had other clients. This took almost an hour & there wasn't any other ppl there waiting for nails while I was there or when I left. She did try to reschedule me for a full set the next day or after. But it was a reason why i needed to be there on that particular Wednesday. Minus my nails, the service was ok, I didn't find the atmosphere to be relaxing. It doesn't give me spa vibes or relaxation. The place could use a facelift. Next time I will be very clear on what I want, my nails are ok I think they'd look cleaner if it was a full set. These were 15 dollars, so you get what you pay for. I had no choice but to sit at her station today because the other ladies all scurried to the back. She rushes her job, skips over nails when filing, half ass polish the nails and sometime skips over adding the clear to nails. I paid $35 for a full set with gel polish for it to look like shit. My 4 year old niece do a better job than this. She also moved the UV lamp when I was trying to put my hands in after she applied the polish. I told her that I didn't even dry this hand, she said it's okay. NO ITS NOT LADY! Then she blobbed a ton of cuticle oil and was like bye, thank you. I was like that's it. She said yes, bye. I was like what in the hell. Not to mention I was cut and she put some liquid on me that burned like hell. She also used the file and everything else on the cut finger. UNSANITARY. I was in complete shock! I hate to say it but I don't think I'll be back. Them talking to her haven't done a thing and I know I'm not the only one who complains about her. The owner/instructor (Duriya) was very nice and the nail tech student (Tocoya) was even more welcoming. She was attentive and personable. My nails were pretty. Tocoya ran into a simple issue with the technique she was attempting but the instructor coached her through the process with ease. My appointment was at 11:00. I arrived at 11:12. However. I called to notify them of my tardiness. The receptionist gave me no problems. There were other students in uniforms practicing different nail techniques through out the entire building. Everyone does a good job but I have my staples. Don does AMAZING pedicures, he takes his time but he is thorough. Andrew does my pure gel overlay. He is also thorough and he makes sure you are satisfied. They have hundreds of nail polish and acrylic colors. They are a bit pricey but my nails last long, so it's worth the price. They also sell name brand makeup, wallets and purses. Highly recommended!!
